I love that you play through your games for the first time on your channel and don’t do a “perfect” walkthrough makes me feels so much better about how i play a game. It’s also nice once I’ve already played the games i can watch you play them and its almost like I’m going through it for the first time again, but without all the stress of dying a million times. 😅 Just resently found you when i was looking for Spyro videos (wanted to watch it played but didnt want to play it again). Great video series so far! I am a master at the original version and can help if needed.
You missed out o the shop in the starting village. You can buy some important items there, including some bombs which can help you in the 1st dungeon room you missed in part 1.
Hint for something you may easily miss. After getting the item from dungeon 3, go back to the Library.
Our minds work quite differently - so I really enjoy watching your videos. You seem to struggle with things I think are ridiculously easy and straight forward, but I struggle on other things that you just fly through (like how to defeat the 'shy guys'. I've never played Zelda before BOTW, so maybe I'm missing some "history" of the game with moves etc that would help me... Keep it up! You're where I come when I get stuck :)

31:10 FYI, if you blue crystal and you rise up on the orange blocks, you can simply walk across them with no problems.

when you get the magic dust the witch tells you to test it out in her house. you didnt read the end of what she said. the thing about zelda games is that they tell you EXACTLY what to do if you pay attention. it isnt about figuring things out per-say. it is about applying the abilities and items properly

Certainly not obvious on its own. However, back when the witch gave him the powder, she said that he should try using it there in her hut before leaving. In her hut are two torches - one already lit, the other not. That's the game trying to teach the player, but Zack seems to sort of rush through dialogue. (My brother is the same way, lol.) Also the reason why he was confused the first time he heard the compass "tone". Every time you pick up a compass, it goes out of its way to tell you that the compass will make a special sound if a key is hidden in the room you're in. (Ironic that he hasn't read that part in each of the first two dungeons, because in the original game I always found it very annoying that it would slowly give you that message *every* time you picked one up, and it couldn't be skipped.)
The gbc port of this game was the first one in zelda I ever played. This. Remake is beautiful.

The Seashells are meant to be collected, there are 20 of them all over the map of the island. There is also 2 additional Seashells incase you miss the chance to collect all 20. Once you get 5, you should visit the Seashell Mansion that youll discover later. Every time you get 5 seashells [For Example: 5, 20, 15, 20.] you should pay a visit to the Seashell Mansion. P.S. I'm don't actually remember the correct name for the Seashell Mansion, It could be Temple or Shrine. :)

Thanks for the help Mr. Libra. I didn't know how to defeat certain enemies. I had the same problems u did I guess besides getting to that door to left that needed a key after the mini boss or whatever. I forgot to get the instrument after level 2. I'm a stupid Leo sometimes tbh. At least y'all Libras r smart.

when you get a shovel, take bowow for a walk. he well shout woof! dig! roof! when he does, dig up the area untill you get something.

46:36 you shoud'nt return BowWow too early. Almost all possible dangerous place, were easily access by bring him, after unlock few possible warp point, get many piece of heart, dig secret seashells(buy shovel), then you probably could return him.... and get kiss.

For when you're around 32:00. Stay on the orange squares. Then jump into the other side.
@zackscottgames there are enemies that can make you lose your shield as I recall. That shield is there to help replace it.
Make sure you get all the secret sea shells

I believe you have to collect the sea shells to get a item for link.I think there are 24 of them. I played the original Link's Awakening for the Gameboy about 10 years ago more than once. So I know what goes on in this game.
You have to get the bombs at the shop where the crane is to open up the area in the first dungeon

At that dungeon where You had to match the 3 walking items (whatever they're called) you matched 3 hearts that's why you're getting hearts 💕 when you hit stuff around wich is something I did not know

I played the GameBoy version. You get bombs from the shop and you can get the Yoshi doll, etc from the other shop. The graphics look great on the Switch though.

I didn't know how to kill the Shyguys, so I missed that key. But I was still able to finish the dungeon because all I missed was the Compass. But I still ended up going back for it because I was in the area anyway

im sure you have probably figured it out by now,, but you need to buy a shovel so you can dig where he says to dig
