What's more impressive than dueling grievous and not dying is when kit fights and his lekku/ head tendrils don't get severed by a lightsaber. His spacial awareness is off the charts
And he died in a heartbeat while fighting Palpatine RIP

Kit Fisto's quick death at the hands of Palpatine was extremely disappointing especially after watching&re-watchin SWTCW. He should have at least lasted alongside Mace Windu fighting Palpatine for a bit longer, not get cut down like a Padawan learner.

From what I've heard the kind of thrown together explanation for why he Agen Kolar, and Saesee Tin went out so easily against palpatine is that Palpatine had used a force scream to intimidate them and throw them off balance. Not sure if that's canon though.
@@UnkillableMrStake the real reason was cause at the time they were supporting characters. However after both clone wars series expanded on them and their abilities that was the reason given. I wish Lucas would’ve had that foresight beforehand however to at least make the fight more interesting
grevious uses a tactic called shock and awe, basically you take you oponient off gaurd and his hard fast, but once that is lost you things become much harder

To be fair in the Revenge of the Sith book Fisto was holding his own against Palpatine. He just got distracted when he sensed Anakin was near.

Btw, I heard that ROTS underwent substantial reshoots prior to release. There is a goof: Palpatine is holding Anakin’s lightsaber hilt! This indicates that they had to do reshoots to re-tool the scene. Hence why Palpatine and Windu had some awkward close ups.
Perhaps Anakin was meant to arrive earlier?
Fisto was also in that series and he basically went God mode there as well.

Fisto didn't "defeat" grevoius. He fought very well and yes grevoius deemed him a significant threat and started using all 4 sabers, something he did with ahsoka aswell.
i’ve noticed whenever a jedi has 2 lightsabers he does it too
He effortlessly cut off bodyparts of grievous in both duels, eventhough he was using 4 ligjtsabers
he did, he basically maimed grievious and incapacitate him for a few second then reinforcement were there and started shooting at fisto. grievious ain't that scary for me, he has just mroe physical abilities and uses four lightsabers. if the masters of prequel didn't have that ego or dogmatic stuff to use jar'kai or bring a saberstaff all the time they could have beaten grievious early. even ahsoka who's not as skilled as the masters of the high council manages to survive grievious.. what more if they bring two sabers... or saber staff.
Dejavu on this one, I still feel that he went down to fast when he was fighting Emperor Palpatine.

Easy answer, or at least two. 1. His form 1 could work against grievous style as its almost like fighting multiple enemies at once, not to mentioned disarmed grievous of one of the lightsabers and utilized jarkaii. 2. TCW grievous is a complete joke even movie grievous is embarrassed from him.
Season 1 grevus is a joke and more often than not the clonewars up until the later seaosns had the mentality of kids show around its neck

Sidious was The Sith Lord not really a Valid Argument about why he didn't last long there...if it wasn't for Windu using his Natural Darkside Energy to Fuel Himself he wouldn't have lasted long either hell he wouldn't have been that Powerful

He has a point but as it stands, that was to emphasise that sidious was the king of the darkside, by taking on 4 Jedi. I was a puppy but these people didn't mean nothing at the time
Now they all have backstories and levels of power and actual characteristics. As I said I was young, only seen the films, not read any books if there was any, and just took a shine to who was highlighted as the main or mainish characters in the movies. I love alot of these characters now, but to me they were just extras

Why did General grievous die so easily in R O S ? Ok let’s say that Anakin grew in power with his anger and that’s how he defeated Dooku but Obi wan and grievous have duelled many times to much more higher stakes than that fight so I don’t understand how he was defeated so easily and at the perfect time. What if Grievous didn’t die and “abandoned ship” would Palpatine have to dispose of him himself? If so why didn’t we get that instead of what we did get?

Grievous is more than a match for most Jedi knights, but most masters can overpower him by using the force.
Although legends grievous is obviously much more powerful, his ‘shock and awe’ strategy is still the same. As Dooku says ‘when fighting Jedi, you must break them before you engage them’
Fisto and Obi Wan weren’t afraid of Grievous at all, so he his main strategy had already failed.

Somebody please tell me why a force-sensitive would have any problems with somebody like General Grievous when they could just grab them with the force and take away all his weapons. Just like the Scarlet Witch did in endgame to Thanos. If Thanos didn't rain fire she was going to crush him telekinetically. That's the reason Grievous cough because Master Windu use Force Crush. If he would have used it any longer it would have killed General Grievous easily. Intimidation should not work on a Jedi. The only way Grievous could be with lightning fast. I mean even the slow Jedi are 10 to 20 strikes a second. He would have to be fast enough to dodge for e attacks. General Grievous would be great if you had a lot of problems like others firing at you he could go through you when you were dodging somebody else's Blaster fire but one-on-one anybody with the skill of an advanced padawon could just take his lightsabers away from him and pull his arms off!

He usually ambushed and used fear intimidation etc on them usually targeting the weakest if facing multiple this hinderd the Jedi connection to the force he was also extremely quick 12 attacks a second so doesn't give you enough time to use the force and he did have some resistance with cybernetics I.E his legs it was possible to use the force on him yes but very difficult as he would just be relentless or he would just retreat if he couldn't keep jedi off balance

This is actually why Dooku emphasized that Grievous must “break them before engaging them,” since many Jedi will have difficulty calling upon the Force if their focus and concentration has been disrupted through whatever way possible (e.g., Dooku using the taunts of Dun Möch to instill doubt within Obi-wan during their duel on Geonosis, or Grievous launching a surprise attack and using his chaotic attack sequences to make of Ki-Adi-Mundi’s Jedi allies through shock and awe during their duel on Hypori. However, Grievous has shown to come up short primarily in situations where his opponent assumes a more defensive approach instead of trying engage him directly, such as during his training duel with Dooku in the Clone Wars (2003) and his duel with Obi-wan on Utapah. Honestly, whenever he comes up against a Jedi Master they tend to clap him pretty badly. His tactics work on Jedi Knights because they simply aren't as skilled/centered, and since Grievous is demonstrably good enough in a duel to hold his own against a Jedi Master he can keep them off balance and claim another trophy.
As to why the masters don't just field dress him, it's probably worth noting that crushing someone's torso or ripping their arms off with the force isn't a light-side technique, strictly speaking. It's a step Obi-Wan is willing to take in the end, but it's definitely not something most Jedi would even consider, just from the moral/slippery slope implications.

It's really the philosophy of the Jedi that may hold them back in some aspects and also fear and the element of surprise really helps him in many engagements.

And this my friends is why it is handy to have people on your side that hyper specialize in roles.
The real readon is that they know the end from the beginning and then fill in try to make it into a story after the fact. No way Fisto could beat Grievous and lose to Ventress based on this explanation. Grevious knew all forms, including 2. They knew the end and had to make a story that they thought was entertaining, until it does not matter anymore, like him losing to Sideous without even making a single move. Like any of those 4 Jedi could not have used the force to have anticipated anything Sideous was going to do.
Bruh, what movie did you watch? In that tiny sequence, Fisto and Sidious's lightsabers make contact with each other 3 seperate times.

How is he general and have such a strong/scary reputation yet he’s not even top 5 Jedi master strong… I think it’s cuz the Star Wars clone wars show really contradicts the books and even the revenge of sith depiction. The counsel only thought obi wan was capable/best at fighting grevious over anakin but canon Disney Star Wars has him ranked really low…
Because Lucas and TCW didn't care about the EU for the most part and just pick and chose some things they liked. Lucas wanted Grievous nerfed but it didn't agree with his vision, so he was nerfed in TCW.
I'm going to sound dumb here, but... why didn't the Jedi just grab Grievous with the Force and smash him against a wall a bunch of times? Yoda did that with Palpatine's guards. Windu used the Force to squish Grievous' lungs, giving him that cough. So what's the deal?
There are two answers. In-universe it seems that Grievous is super good at simply dodging Force techniques due to his natural combat experience and training with Dooku. The other explanation is that it makes Grievous a non-threat when nearly any Force user could OHKO him and so for the purpose of the story/action scenes they just don't use the Force on him.

There are few issues I have with Dave Filloni, and this was one of them. There was no reason to Nerf Grievous as much as he did. If you wanted Kit Fisto to win this battle convincingly it would have been better if it was in the water, where Kit Fisto's biology assists in his advantage. OR state that Kit Fisto's abilities and oneness in the force was most potent when he was in a water environment.
When the Clone Wars Minis series came out leading up to Revenge of the Sith it was implied that Kit Fisto underwater would be more powerful than even other Jedi, as it appeared his force abilities were on another level underwater. This would better explain why Kit went out so quickly in the actual Revenge of the Sith movie, and it adds another interesting layer to the force and unique advantages and disadvantages certain users had that wasn't strictly related to light saber forms.
The nerfing of Grievous is thanks to George Lucas, who preferred the idea of a comic book-esque villain Grievous, rather than the advanced and terrifying Jedi killer like Vader. Lucas didn't want another Vader, so the cyborg general was nerfed.
