Thank you for this video. Such clarity and faith!

Hey thanks for the comment. I don't think that I'll be doing a video on that currently. Also I'm not sure that I could do a better job than the one Inspiring Philosophy has already done on that. Please check out his video here th-cam.com/video/RLcNTAi0Cw4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UTL1wdyk238tYyrF. I have no affliation with him. I just think that this is a high quality video on that topic of the Origins of Young Earth Creationism.

Young-Earth proponent here. Interesting to hear you point of view. I respect that we shouldn't create a binary view and have salvation depend on it. I do wonder how you interpret God's words in the Sabbath commandment when He says He has created everything in 6 days and therefore ... So I just want to hear your perspective on that. Regarding the time problem, I believe dr Lisle has an interesting answer: The average speed of light is known, but the one-way speed of light is arbitrary between instant and 2. Veritasium also did an episode on it. What's your thought on that? And can you perhaps point me to a good book or preferably a website that goes into the young vs old creation debate that you find best to read? Many thanks and God bless

Hey thanks so much for the comment. If you are interested in a little more on all of that I recently did a debate on why I believe the Bible does not teach Young-Earth creationism. th-cam.com/video/XJpV1ol-yME/w-d-xo.html

Concerning resources on the age of the Earth debate there are many great resources. Today, if you are interested in the science side of the discussion then you can look into reasons.org/. This is quite a large topic. And yes, I have heard Dr. Lisle on his views concerning the speed of light. It is a very interesting view.
But yes, concerning why I do not believe Exodus 20:11 proves a young earth is answered in my debate. I will be having two more debates coming up soon as well. One more on the topic of does the Bible teach Young Earth Creationism and the second one on is there animal death before the fall.

How does one in one fell swoop deny Geology, Anthropology, Genetics, tree rings, volcanism, and basically all of scientific knowledge based on a few words written down by a Bronze age man? And those words promote the worship of a God that condoned slavery, animal sacrifice, genocide, and homophobia.

And skipping over the parts of the Bible like Lot impregnating his daughters after God salted his wife, Jephthah's Daughter, Exodus 21:20, Leviticus 25, and even Jesus didn't condemn the ownership of people as property.

Old earth creationist = You trust science and call God a liar.
If God created suffering and death long before man sinned, then God is the sinner and an abomination.
Why would you trust his word that we need salvation for something you think he did?

      1. God is truth. All truths are God's truths.
      2. The Bible is true because it's from God.
      3. However the Bible does not contain ALL truth. It's meant to pass in God's Message to us. It's not meant to be a science textbook. The message God is concerned with is to do with Man, the highest of His creations. Not the rest of creation. Did animals eat each other before Adam and Eve ate the apple or were they all herbivores? We don't know because the Bible doesn't say
      4. Study the origins of young earth creationists. They don't come from People with both scientific and faith backgrounds.
      5. There are many believing scientists speaking up now. Dr. James Tour is one. Go educate yourself instead of falling for the eisegesis of the young earth creationists. You are making the rest of us look ridiculous to the atheists and agnostics.
Educate yourself. Finally after all these years the SCIENCE is now firmly on our side. Darwinian Evolution is dead and buried. The atheists have no answers any more. Even Richard Dawkins is now reduced to 'there must have been some sort of...' without providing proof.
