  • Welcome back to the channel! We're doing things a little different today. We're gonna go back in time.....back to the beginning....back to the days before ‪@lonestarlows‬ was a thing and before the channel. This was the first build I ever did in the shop and the start for many things....I learned how to do paint & bodywork, framework, sheet metal work, and so much more. Watch the video as I take you through the build!!

    Awesome video! I have both a 62 and 63 project that I’ve been wanting to restore for years now. Your an inspiration bro. Maybe I’ll just start doing the work myself instead of paying someone hundreds per hour! Keep up the great work!

    REAL TALK. THANK YOU LONE STAR!!!!
    All your videos gave me da balls to start body working my own 62 Impala. After having painters flake out on me. I said fuck it…. I
    Can do this. An ur videos helped me so much with knowledge an understanding how to actually do the work. Now I’m almost done with 62’s body work. Thanks lone star

    Awesome work that’s my dream car. That’s when I started watching your channel. Waiting on Bobby’s car to come back to the channel. 68 coming out great I know I have some skills wish one day I have the chance to do 62. And these and you guys are an inspiration to me thank you and keep them coming. Can’t wait on the 60. Right now I have a 2000 gmc nbs I want to work on. With that same scheme black and red. Want to learn how to weld with it. 🙏💪👌

    Putting together my 61 right now. It's my first project car ever at the age of 27. Your channel helped me out a lot when i was taking my fenders on & off! Hoping to have her back on the road running well before the summer. Gonna be somewhat of a ratty, hotrod build since it's a 4 door (or at least that's my excuse for not wanting to do/pay for body work right now haha

      Yessir. They are still out there but, won't find them on IG or Facebook. Alot harder to find a good deal. Everyone wants a bunch of a money for a car that still has single reservoir master cylinder and original brake lines.

    Super nice work for your first try. You had a lot more things going on which made it more than just a Stock restore.
    Were you Drinking when you came up with all this ideas 🙂
    You have a great skill level which a lot of people do not and never will.
    Having people you can ask questions is a big help.
    So I figure you ran into Red Rocket at a Car Show but Bobby just followed you Guys home 🙂
    Bottom line is you just have to try and you can figure out most things.

    • @lonestarlows
      @lonestarlows  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ed is back! Actually yes I was probably drinking. How I met red rocket was he called me one day, not sure how he got my number. To ask me about a tilt steering column and we just kept in touch. Yes bobby followed me home haha

    • @lonestarlows
      @lonestarlows  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually Ed, bobby has been around before rocket. I remember me and my buddy had Bobby get in the trunk of this car and tighten the hinge bolts as we adjusted the deck lid. He's no stranger , and has great work ethic 😎

      @@lonestarlows That fits, most Welders are great workers but are a little nuts for sure 🙂
      My neighbor was Joe the Welder, we did so many crazy things and built so many things it's hard to remember.
      He did not have a Son so my Son was his Son and he learned a lot about Life.
      You have a Great bunch of Guys around to help out and come up with ideas.
