Looks exactly the same as all games have looked past 2010. Its very far from any kind of "photo realism" untill game engines will at least start supporting realistic animations and water interaction.
I feel the similar way. I wouldn't say they look the same, there is a huge difference in, for instance, water between HZD and HFW alone, but I feel like the graphics is adding extra detail, but not animation quality. The grass still moves the very same way it did in 2010, there's just more grass blades that move independently in the wind. The lighting is a lot better, but photo realism? Still far, far from it, despite numerous claims.
@@becausebuzzbomb6133 you guys need to relax, even real time path tracing will not make games look like the hollywood movies, for these kind of graphics you still need render farms because graphics can always pushed more, the more power you give them the more they will eat
@@JBIGroup3D Yeah, the fun part is that for animation, you don't need that much graphics. You need general computation because you have to calculate the movement and only then you need to render the scene. For instance, I'm still not quite sure as to why multi-core processors aren't fully utilized in games. Or, actually, I think I'm quite close to being sure - the games must run on underpowered and generally quite dated consoles that get updated way less often than computers. I really wish some games utilized the full computation power of any machine, very much like back in the day the first Crysis did, becoming an unintended performance benchmark. But it's understandable that studios won't put the extra effort required just to have a graphics mode that will only run on 0.1 % of current computers in the world, even though the number will be progressively larger by the year.
@@becausebuzzbomb6133 it's not a issue of consoles, both ps5 and Xbox series x/s have very modern CPUs with 8cores and hyper threading, games are multi threaded the thing is it's real time graphics, you should always sacrifice something vs the offline rendering
This is just a gorgeous game always. Think i might have to reinstall it and do a 5th playthrough of both zero dawn and forbidden west.
Ray tracing mod not hardware ray tracing
