My second guess is that she could be a Nightsister from Dathomir (a different sect from Mother Talzin’s clan) who were also a people slain during the Clone Wars.
I have no idea what Pre was trying to prove when Death Watch did this. To not let the weak tell you what to do is one thing, but there was no honor behind this action. I know Mandalorians in the past have done some unbelievably shitty things in galactic history but their ways as warriors have changed throughout history. Some of those generations would probably condemn this. If Ahsoka didn’t reveal herself, this village would’ve likely been erased over one small incident
So Deathwatch kept a bunch of young woman hostage for an unknown amount of time.... that implies some nonconsenual things may have occurred thank god the Mandalorian brought back some honor to them cuz they kinda screwed up here
Suddenly, Mandalore getting glassed makes a lot of sense. Palpatine, Moff Gideon, Revan, the Jedi Exile, the Empire and the Republic, they all slaughtered the Mandalorians like dogs, for a very good reason.
“The Mandalorian” creator breaks bad in Clone Wars A creator... can destroy. Even the First Director of the MCU and the visionary Mandalorian creator can become the feared leader of a fearsome terrorist group of Mandalorians.
It's a different side of the mandalorians. I can understand why most of the people see the mandalorians as some ,,terrorist, cold-blooded killers". Actually I like the mandos. The mandos like Din Djarin and the ,,True Mandalorians" (Jaster Mereel, Jango Fett). Because they were mandos and dangerous warriors but they didn't kill anyone without reason. Not like the Death Watch or after them the ,,Maulorians" (mandos of Darth Maul)
The maulorians didn’t kill anyone without reason they just followed maul and during the siege of mandalore there were defending their planet against the republic and bo katan and her traitorous night owls who helped invade their own planet and overthrow the legitimate ruler of mandalore.
Agreed with everything you said except the last words, maulorians were bond by strengh, which i could say that since they came from death watch they at least follow one rule of the mandalorian creed, "the strongest shall rule mandalore", that code has been there for centuries, and they follow it. Even thought Maul wasnt born as a Mandalorian, they follow him cause he understood their culture and fought and won using mandalorian ways. Unlike Bo katan 😒... I love the Maulorians cause they show what made them different from the other factions, they werent born to follow orders like clones or program to follow orders like droids, they follow orders of the strongest, they were bound by strengh, they didnt care if their leader was bad or good, as long he was the strongest among them. Clearly bo katan didnt show that.
@@rekanagy8903 well yes ofc, the weak shall perish or be manipulate, that is one of the sith way... innocent or not they would kill them either way, but at least we know that Maulorians stay loyal to the strengh code haha. And they didnt have some shitty redemption like Bo and regret everything and pretend to play the good character despite their past. At least Maul knew he was evil, he was raised by sidious, cant really blame maul for doing evil. It stills bad no matter what, but well, maulorians follow their evil intentions until that got them killed. I know i am not good at giving explanations But what i am trying to tell you bro, is that the maulorians fought and die with their beliefs, which is good, they werent manipulate. They die for what they believe, now we, public, determine if those beliefs were bad or good.

oh, the irony. Bo-Katan got what she deserved. her home was destroyed as she destroyed theirs. I'm a very fair and understanding person...but, I have no sympathy for her.
I liked Mandalore under the rule of Satine - she was one of my favourite characters and I agreed with her wholeheartedly - war leads nowhere, just brings death and suffering for the innocents. Everything fell when she died. Now... I really don't understand people defending Bo-Katan... she was burning innocent people's houses and murdering them 😱😡 she didn't like Maul ruling over Mandalore just because he was an outsider, otherwise it was perfectly fine. From what I have seen she didn't even show a sign of remorse. It's beyond redemption for me.
Satine saw the constant cycle of infighting, inequality between warriors and non-warriors, and murdering their own people and decided to work towards reform... Bo saw the system that destroyed their world, had the warrior cast dominating the non-warriors, and determined leadership by killing the old leader and thought "this is great"
A leader promotes peace but is ready for war. If Satine was a better leader... This wouldn't have ever happened. This was apathy. Satine wanted to just sit back and moralize as lives were in danger... Much like the Jedi.
@@ghostface4404 I totally understand getting ready for the defensive and responding to the attack but not propagating war. The old Mandalore was a nation of warriors and pro-war attitudes. Satine saw first hand what such attitudes can lead to. There's nothing wrong with resolving disputes in a non-violent way. It should be everybody's goal.
@@thebluemoonlady but, not be naïve about it. peace needs requires the protection of warriors. how many died like this because of her weak leadership? in the end--she was outplayed by her own unwillingness to act. there is certainty something wrong when you understand when it's clearly not working but you do so, anyway--Satine was just as guilty for this as as what happened later as Bo-Katan was--this is a time to show strength. strength needs to be tempered with compassion and compassion needs to be tempered with wisdom.

Death Watch operate on a "Might makes Right" principal. The leader of the village dared to defy Pre and because he saw him as weak, he and the other Death Watch thought they had to put them back in their place. Basically, they don't like "the weak" ordering them around and decided to assert their authority through a massacre.
I hate to say this, but in my opinion, this episode was by far one of my most hated episodes in the entire Clone Wars show for a number reasons. The first is that Death Watch in this episode including Vizsla were portrayed as "murderers" and kill those Ming Po for fun, FOR FUN, especially when he tells their actions in front of Lux's face before he was about to kill Ahsoka Tano saying, "It's like you said, this isn't murder at all. It's JUSTICE!!!". Second, how in the world did Ahsoka know about Death Watch if this was her first and ONLY time meeting the group. Now personally, if this episode never existed, I would've appreciate Pre Vizsla as an awesome Clone Wars villain. But seeing this episode, left a bad taste in my mouth and I grow to detest him and his Death Watch group compared to the other Clone Wars villains (Almec, Garnac, etc..). I'm honestly glad Vizsla got his comeuppance at the hand's of Darth Maul the following season for all the bad things he has done in the show, he deserved it.
+Ernesto Chacon actually what Death Watch did is pretty tame when you compare to what Jango and Boba's ancestor did Cassus Fett forcing a colony of Catharr to drown and almost push them to the brink of extinction and why did he do this because he hated how weak they were and punished them for that
+Travis Kopplinger To be perfectly honest, I seldom read any of the expanded universe stories regarding Death Watch and the Mandalorians actions. Most of the Star Wars stuff I watch are from the films, select episodes of the Clone Wars show, and Rebels.

And you will KNOW my name is the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon thee!
Killing the innocents.... is this their idea of honour!?
This girl went through to damn much
I have no idea what Pre was trying to prove when Death Watch did this.
When ur at ur lowest anything can insult u. Also gangsters. This is the norm for them especially the cartel
I forgot the animation was this good.
A real massacre !
The forces of evil raged.
But also, from pure cowardice.
So Deathwatch kept a bunch of young woman hostage for an unknown amount of time.... that implies some nonconsenual things may have occurred thank god the Mandalorian brought back some honor to them cuz they kinda screwed up here
Kind of screwed up? Understatement.
who would of thought a society that glorifys war, places warriors on top, and emphasizes rule by the strong would be so fucked up?
Din Djarin would be disgusted by this guys.
1:24 I don’t know why but I laugh at this scene where Ashoka throws a pole and impales a death watch member above the groin 😂
No children for him! 🤣
@@JB-yb4wn Lol
They probably should invest on articulated joint plating.
1:10 "This is not the way "!!!
Suddenly, Mandalore getting glassed makes a lot of sense. Palpatine, Moff Gideon, Revan, the Jedi Exile, the Empire and the Republic, they all slaughtered the Mandalorians like dogs, for a very good reason.
“The Mandalorian” creator breaks bad in Clone Wars
A creator... can destroy.
@@mistergasparazzi2356 yeah, but even they got an order from Maul to kill some innocent people they would do it. There is no honor in that.
@@rekanagy8903 well yes ofc, the weak shall perish or be manipulate, that is one of the sith way... innocent or not they would kill them either way, but at least we know that Maulorians stay loyal to the strengh code haha. I cant justify their evil, but i can show how good their loyalty was.
I know i am not good at giving explanations
But what i am trying to tell you bro, is that the maulorians fought and die with their beliefs, which is good, they werent manipulate. They die for what they believe, now we, public, determine if those beliefs were bad or good.
@@mistergasparazzi2356 yeah, sure I understand what you mean. I just said that what I originally wrote that I don't agree with the Deat Watch and the Mauldorians to kill innocent people. I didn't say that Mauldorians weren't follow the way of Mandalore. And don't ,,bro" me, please, I'm a female😅
R.I.P innocent villagers, you have been avenged.
They've been forgotten unfortunately
oh, the irony. Bo-Katan got what she deserved. her home was destroyed as she destroyed theirs. I'm a very fair and understanding person...but, I have no sympathy for her.
R.I.P. Tryla.
Bo saw the system that destroyed their world, had the warrior cast dominating the non-warriors, and determined leadership by killing the old leader and thought "this is great"
@@weik-2936 both were right... but, both were far to extreme to see it.
I fucking LOVE the colors in this setting! The fire, the snow, the animation, the interstice of light and dark. So pretty, so gloomy, so ambient. FUCK!!!
1:24 Was it on the nuts? OOOOOF!
Primexus no, u can see it is in stomach not in nuts
Oh well .... Almost xD
@@Primexus yes, xd

good work Bo Katan this is your people 😤😎
Vizla‘s armor/helmet are beyond fire
Bro‘s drip was immaculate
1:25 What I want to know is, did Ahsoka hit him in the stomach, or the... you know what?
You can clearly see where she hit him, it is at least 2 inches above where you think it is.
He was a few inches from experiencing unholy amounts of pain
Oh yeah it was definitely stomach, I don’t know how 4 years ago me thought otherwise
Right above the groin, that’s gonna hurt
She impaled him right above the groin. Mandalorian armour has a codpiece, and the lower stomach is exposed
Does anyone else notice that the jacket disappears in the next frame. It feels like there's a lot missing from this scene
Pretty sure she shrugged it off in the split second she went flying.
So, Ahsoka ever heard of force healing? It’s a fun concept.
This is not the way! Din Djarin wouldn't let this to happen, If he knew about this...
NOO, WHY BURN THIS BEAUTIFUL JAPANESE ESQUE VILLAGE
They are more like manchurians
WELCOME TO DEATHWACH
@@lillith3159 yeah. I recognize their clothing and especially headwear.
0:36 shouldn't his long sword impale the both of them?
Anyone here after clone wars s7 e8??
Me!
i guess this was the kind of thing that happened at 10 times the scale during the mandalorian wars back in the day
It remembers me at Avatar and Asoka is Aang
Bo Katan and Sabine's mother are both complicit in this. Never forget.
Most mandalorians were at least a little bit better than death watch, they at the very least knew better than to direct their killing at innocent villagers. (What I just said does not apply to all mandalorians)
All mandalorians were like this up until the mandalorian civil war.
They have rhombus on their faces...they are Mirialans?
What do you think would happen if Anakin was there
1:52 imagine he actually killed Ashoka right their
Anakin would come and kill them all

Clone Wars: 0:35
This whole "Clone Wars is for kids" thing is only said by idiots who think animation =Kids
Thus how they were in KOTOR
That might take place in Ancient Japan.
This was where we see genocide in a Clone Wars episode
I love the deathwatch
What culture was this village inspired by. Is this Japanese inspired or...Hmm...It's something. Do you know Harleen?
+PSYLOD_3 Well, I had no idea, but I did some research and find out, that their species is called "Ming Po", which is chinese word, so it might be inspired by Chinese, but can't say it's 100% true. If you're interested in them you can try to find more, their planet is called "Carlac" and name of the village is "Ming Po Town". :-)
+Harleen Quinzel I think it is a Chinese village. Ming Po is actually the name of a newspaper in Hong Kong.
+Harleen Quinzel I guess you can think of the villages as Chinese farmers, and the Mandalorians as Mongols.
I am a Hong Konger and it is a newspaper's name. But i feel it has both chinese and japanese influence, tho mostly japan due to the cherry blossom trees. Also chinese-japanese like clothes and chinese like houses with a bit japanese to it
Looks like the ancient japan.
This reminds me of the beginning of TFA
*the beginning of TFA remind me of this
mandalore reminds me of japan in the winter
This is is on a different place
How many death watch troopers are there?
1 too many!
1:29 wanna see a magic trick remember her lightsaber being on her person
Yeah neither do I
Oh look there it is
*Next scene*
Oh did you see a lightsaber nope it's gone
Why are they doing this?
Death Watch operate on a "Might makes Right" principal. The leader of the village dared to defy Pre and because he saw him as weak, he and the other Death Watch thought they had to put them back in their place. Basically, they don't like "the weak" ordering them around and decided to assert their authority through a massacre.
Where was Anakin? ( I never watched the whole series)
Anakin wasn't with Ahsoka when Lux (sort of) kidnapped her.
Watch the series
Deathwatch could have easily restored mandalore to their old way through politics but instead they chose the option of bloodshed and violence.
China vs Japan (1938; colorized)
Me and the boys when we find a village in Minecraft:
1:09 welcome to deathwatch!
You are not Mandalorians, Death Watch! You are thugs in Mandalorian armour!
Don't forget dishonorable killers...
They kill without honour.
cosplayers!
Mandos are thugs.
All mandos acted like this before the civil war.
This is NOT the way.
I don’t care what people say, Deathwatch are NOT Mandalorians, true Mandalorians don’t attack unarmed innocent civilians, only cowards do
Dar'Manda -- wretched cowards! such a'' grrrreeeeaaart and honorable warrior'' HA! he couldn't even handle one padawan.
They do though or at least ones that follow the old ways do.
The Carlac people looked so damn weird
Big Cathar vibes
Why do people keep mentioning bo Katan like she even appears in this scene?
@SpiderWolffe78 and smiled beforehand--she fucking knew good and damn well what was about to happen.

RICK LONG CANBERRA NERDS INC SAYS JOSH LONG IS MY BROTHER !
Damn Mongol massacre. How gengis Khan does his shit
Where the fuck were the Disney mandalorians when these dudes were backpack bombing people on The Daily. Retcons and bandwagon disney plus content
They were a different, more extreme group that were more reclusive
+Travis Kopplinger Didn't Revan take the mask of the one Mandalorian soldier who protested that slaughter?
+Thoralmir yes and was the helmet he wore until the end of the mandalorian wars
Maul did the exact same thing in the season 4 finale.
This reminds me of bumblebee
With the way this universe wanks Mandalorians I'm surprised she lasted even a few seconds against them.
Bruh China in a snow planet?
Its more likely inspired by Manchuria, a region northeast of China
@@lillith3159 Yeah. Manchuria is cold and the clothing in that planet resembles Manchurian traditional clothing
