- Near orbit space is still the vacuum of space as the X-Men quickly find out as they try to escape a Sentinel controlled satellite and get safely back to earth.
CCXCC is a weekly Comic Club where we take a look at Claremont's run on X-Men, issue by issue. I have never read the whole run and John has it engrained in his DNA. I'll be looking at it from an artist's POV and John will analyze them as a writer. Join us every Wednesday as we go through the 292+ issues of Uncanny X-Men written by a master storyteller and drawn by some if the finest talents to ever grace the comics medium.

One of my favorite Classic X-Men backup stories. Great stuff!
This issue was interesting as it focuses on Colossus and his fear of being up in space due to losing his older brother Mikhail. I also love how Storm can control Cosmic weather while in space and when Colossus challenges Cyclops to look for Storm she manages to get inside and he is happy to see her.
I agree that the addition of an older brother cosmonaut is really interesting for Colossus. And the developing Storm/ Colossus dynamic is fun to see.
