Cleaning the ocean, carbon captures, reforestation, forest maintenance to limit fires, not using the cheapest manufacturing routes but the more expensive environmentally friendly manufacturing process and so many more. Even for people like you who are negative and pessimistic you shouldn’t want them to not even try. Why do you want them to horde their money? The richest people have a carbon footprint 10-100 times bigger than normal people so they should do more to offset it.

The problem with the rich who has these survival shelters is if the world is destroyed due to some catastrophic event, when they come out years later, who will plant food, build homes or know how to filter dirty water so it’s can be consumed? They haven’t thought this through. It’s better to come together and prevent the catastrophe than to wait it out and hope for the best.

I've seen doomsday preppers with a better sense of community than these rich tycoons.
Maybe it might be better to be at ground zero with friends and family.
I prep a bit, it's come in handy several time's, weather it's power outages, having water turned off for multiple different reasons, empty shelves at our grocery store, covid, I had 50 n95 masks from my construction business that came in real handy. I was able to help family and friends a few times especially through covid. Preparedness is smart thinking, ya don't need a bomb shelter, just necessities.
Even in the unlikely event of a world wide doomsday event, the ones most likely to survive would be the groups that work best together in order to rebuild society.
Because most preppers do have the knowledge to get what they need to survive.
It is about knowing stuff like making up a fire, create traps for small wildlife and produce ash soap.

You wouldn't survive long in a bunker once your oxygen runs out, you can't filter irradiated air with filters which means they would need many many oxygen cylinders, the chance of survival in a bunker in a capital city is not very high. A person or a farmer in a country regional area would easily survive even an off gridder with just 4 acres of land with his own water supply and self sufficient

I have been living in New Zealand my whole life I live in a rural town with mostly Maori and European people and within the last 10 years I started noticing alot of Americans coming over and buying large amounts of land not only them but Russians aswell I never knew it had to do with something of this scale .

What's even funnier about all this is that absolutely none of these super-duper-rich weirdos are ever going to get into these things. These converted silos and bunkers are nowhere near where they live. What Pilot is going to fly you all the way to New Zealand when he can just grab his family and do it himself? And that's "IF" the plane still works. All they did was buy and continue to finance a luxury bunker for the people who either built them or maintain them. They don't have any skills outside of speculating stock markets or sitting in air-conditioned rooms. Farming? Animal husbandry? Plumbing? Carpentry? Hunting? Mechanics? Canning? You name it, they can't do it. If disaster strikes their screwed because now they are at the bottom of the food chain. No one will take them in.

Not gonna lie if you watch don't look up, the post credit scene in the movie does a great job of showing what will happen to the ultra rich who use their wealth to beat their odds of survival.

Don't underestimate the power of a person in despair and extreme chaos. Plenty of people in the world know how to hack literally ANYTHING. Try and tell a starving father that his kids just have to die because he doesn't have enough money to get into a bunker. See how well that works out for you.

I was also imagining the earth being covered by water for a long period of time, with those people underground. That water has to seep in somewhere along the way. We might not even need the hackers, because water has a way of damaging great creative bunkers too. I couldn't eat properly to know that others were starving. I agree with your comment 100%

Your biggest form of defense is secrecy and these monstrosities are beyond that. Most people may not realize it but even the construction of a simple home involves hundreds of people down the line who are directly involved. A construction projects like these involve thousands if not tens of thousands of people. The dig crews, concrete layers, masons, electricians, plumbers, welders, carpenters, heavy equipment operators, the foremen's for all of them, supervisors, building inspectors, safety supervisors, permits and the clerks needed, city inspectors, planners, lawyers for the contracts and their clerks, truck drivers, warehouse personnel, garbage men for the large onsite dumpster bins, porta potties drop off and the waste truck drivers that regularly clean them, HVAC crew, onsite security, gates, scaffolding, shoring, the companies that provide the raw materials and their employees, etc. etc. etc.
Sure you can try to hire as many out of state contractors as you can but that only gets you so far. Maybe the general labor. But the facilities? Catering companies? etc. Yeah right.
Your talking about a small army of people that are aware of this and they'll tell their friends and families who will go on to tell theirs as well about "the crazy expensive super duper doomsday bunker this rich asshat is building in (insert nice part of town)." If SHTF you know damn well you're gonna have a problem since all it would take is a handful of men from the dig crews and two of the diesel pneumatic compressors they use and they'll peel it open like a tuna can in less than a week. Those compressors are non-electric since you have to worry about gas lines so E.M.P's wouldn't affect them.
If you own a doomsday bunker the last thing you want is for people to know you have one.

None of these bunkers can make long term breathable air. Find the the air intake/exhaust system and the occupants suffocate like bugs in a sealed jar.
Exactly. Look at the experimental Biosphere in Tucson Arizona. They had to pipe air into it as the scientists were dying from lack of oxygen. Some think it was from the curing of the concrete floors which takes approx. 100 years to cure.

I am a hydroponic and indoor growing expert and if these guys don’t have lots and I mean 1000x of each of extra nutes, growing media, seeds, bulbs, ballasts, pumps, air pumps and bubble stones, fans, propagation equipment, water filters, timers, power strips, electrical breakers, ph chemicals, air conditioning and furnace backups plus repair equipment, air filtration equipment, pesticides/fungicides, spraying equipment and gear, co2 production/tanks/regulators/controllers and equipment, diesel generators and backups and repair equipment, with very very large amounts of fuel or solar which wouldn’t work, nuclear would be ideal the they would have a chance, Lab equipment to check safety of product, then they won’t be growing much for long.

Well they work 1,000- 10,000x “harder” than hundreds of their employees COMBINED so they should be okay. They should have no problem doing everything themselves and not have to deal with the inefficiencies of lazy employees. I’m sure they will use this hard work when infrastructure gradually breaks down and they run out of food and health services and have no more lazy employees to get in their way of doing things.

The best way for the rich to keep their Navy seals on their side is to offer them spots inside their bunker as well as their families ( There navy seals will have to have accommodation inside the bunker anyway to survive so you just add their immediate families if they have any in the first place )

Most of these bunkers have an air filtration system that can be taken out. Once that happens it’s only a matter of time until they have to open the doors and face the music. The people that will survive such an event will have to continuously move to survive. Unless you’re in NORAD, anyone who thinks that they’re going to be able survive by staying in a bunker is just fooling themselves.

You have to get inside the bunker to take out that Air filtration system and I guarantee you allot of the bunkers use air scrubbers like subs doo so they don't need vents. If they are using vents then that's a different story.

There’s an old Air Force bunker in my city that was built during the Cold War. I can imagine that’s where the elite will hide during an apocalypse.
