Mike great video and insight like always !! Thanks 🙏 MIKE . I actually called him left VM and he got in touch, he got right back to me !!!Great advice from him I just settled a 🏡homeowners claim and I actually settled thanks again Mike you’re the real deal, great guy !!!
Is there a time limit on claims? For ex, we had a pipe burst in our garage washing machine over a year ago. My adult kids took care of clean up, fans, replaced part, sprayed bleach on mold that grew, etc. because we were out of town. We now know we still have mold via a ERMI test. Plus 2+ years ago the water filter under our sink exploded (can still see the mark under the cabinet). We just removed it and don't use a filter any longer. Third, have some effluerescence on the tile right outside the glass door of our master shower. Don't know how long it's been there. Is there a time limit to call in all these claims at the same time?
I refused mitigation saw where that was going, I just let them see the damage make a report and we go from there, think in CA we can sue though so probably a lot different from Florida.
I understand, however, the possibility of mold development increases and you could be in a position where your damages are not properly documented ending up in a significantly lower payout. Kinda trapped between a rock and a hard place
I bought a condo. I have never bought property. I trusted my realtor blindly who i knew and he used his inspector. I was out of state.. I had a four point inspection but i belive i was mislead. I need to know how to approach this situation. DO i get my own mold inspection< another four point... im already going broke.. i dont want to sell this place like i bought it ..or have anyhting like this happen to anyone else.. It could go to arbitration ... i would like to document and just expose the situation. Its not about the money this was my friend i worked with... and it could damage other brokers. I prob signed off on it.. i m disgusted but I want to know and educate others
Hello. I live in California. Thank you for your videos. I need advice on how to handle my claim, that hasn’t been filed yet. I have a 2 story home, I noticed a light discoloration on the ceiling of the 1 floor bathroom, which I’m sure is a water leak from the bathroom above. Should I allow an insurance adjuster to see the discoloration? Should I inform the insurance company of the discoloration?
Crap wish I saw this 15 days ago. I live in a rural area where water mitigation couldn't make it out here to help for 2 weeks. And no local licensed plumbers. My husband is handy and can fix it on his own. What do we do?!
I would call the claim to insurance company but hold them off until you can get a plumber and water mitigation company out. Just tell insurance company when they want to come out that you will let them know a day and time because you have a lot going on
I have already filed a claim with my insurance and they sent out a water mitigation company that have been on site since Wednesday night (it’s Saturday) - they have a leak detection company coming out Monday. Should I cancel and hire my own leak detection company?
Wait, I have homeowners insurance so that when I have damage to my home, I depend on my insurance company to pay the claim because that's what I have a homeowners insurance for, but oh no, you're telling me I should actually pay for all of the cleanup and mitigation out-of-pocket, and then I'll get my claim paid! I've done it both ways, and it doesn't work that way, and in fact, I called my insurance company right away, and they started sending people out to mitigate the problem, which is how it should go, but these insurance companies are dishonest, and I'm starting to get the impression that it's all about collusion and nothing about the policy protecting the homeowner! Homeowners insurance is a total scam! Then, unfortunately, we have incompetent Public Adjuster's who don't know what the heck they're doing, and most of them are charlatans, and some have made off with checks that belong to the homeowner!
I think you misunderstood the video under no circumstances do I recommend paying out of pocket for anything. Also, you should never use any company the insurance company recommends for you
The problem is... Customers won't look for this information until after they have issues with insurance.
.. lol

What type of damage did you have?

Hello, doesn't even sound like there's enough damage to make it worthwhile to file a claim.
