Just as others have mentioned, it does need a dab of oil before you use it th-cam.com/users/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e - put a few drops in through the convenient screw cap and you are good to go! I have fished several weeks with a couple of these, and I will be getting more in the future. I put these against my Abu Garcia Pro Max reel, and they actually perform a bit better than the Abu with some of my lighter cranks, and definitely just as good with the rest of my lures. My Abu is a bit more low profile and fits my hand better, but these are definitely not bad at all. You can almost get 3 of these for the price of my Pro Max. My only complaint is the thumb bar sits pretty high compared to my traditional profile Abu. Bring that thumb bar down a little and I’m sold on these all day long.

The hardest part of the challenge is finding 5 lures for $25 at bass pro.
The xps crankbaits are $2.99 on sale from 5 bux. Poppers are $2.99. And their bps jerkbaits were 4 or 5 bux I believe. I got 3 lures for 10 bux the other day.

I’ve got 2 bad pros within 2 hours, but I generally go to the one in Springfield, MO, which is the outdoor world, the second largest bass pro in the world. This might have something to do with the prices since it has more tourism?
I always have a hard time determining when I have a bite when fishing with soft plastics. What does it feel like when a fish bites the soft plastic? I feel like I’m always thinking it’s weeds or seaweed instead of the actual fish and I end up missing it.
