Sonic Merch Hunting in Japan - Summer 2019

- I'm back! Recently been to Japan and came across a lot of new Sonic and Sega goods throughout my travels there. I give you a show of exactly the goods I come across! I also visited the International Tokyo Toy Show while I was there, which Sega was attending promoting the upcoming Mega Drive Mini. You'll also see the incredible find of finding a really good condition Sonic Waku Waku Patrol Car in an amusement park up a mountain. Video footage too. Apart from its steering wheel missing the thing is in really good condition considering its age and that its been out in the open weather for so long. I attended Joypolis a couple time and you'll get a look at some of the new merch they have for sale there and a look at some of the birthday event that was going on as I attended on Sonic's Birthday (23/6). It's great to see Sonic still has a strong presence in Japan
Just a little, Sonic is not that popular in Japan, only in Tokyo, that's a shame.
My dream is to go to Japan just to buy sonic merch and art supplies. Oh- and to buy canned bread from a vending machine. Be like squidward

I know Japan 🇯🇵 🗾 is slightly bigger than Germany 🇩🇪 and slightly smaller than California, USA 🇺🇸 but Japan is actually the world's tenth largest country by population, with 127.3 million people so despite having an area slightly bigger than Germany and slightly smaller than California, USA.

Sonic merch is hard to come by in the Philippines. I am so going to save up as much as I can so I can visit Japan and score some merch.

those mini sega genesis are interesting. It's likely for looks but one has a cartridge in it; I wonder if they considered cart emulation for it as well? Similar to many of these emulators, so you can play your favourite games in it; along with those included.

Sonic merchandise is always great in japan. I got some of my sonic merchandise from Japan. Japan’s merch is GREATLY better than America’s. Depending on the items :)

On the segasonic police arcade ride, are those scan lines still there off camera? Or just while filming?
If it's still there, I'm worried the screen is broken; I've seen screenshots and footage of it with the full screen displayed.
Nah it was because I was recording a CRT screen, have you tired to film something from your phone camera on an old TV before, you get scan lines come through. The screen on the ride was perfectly clear :)
