It's not being hateful, it is about sharing God's truth in love. We are to pray and not support sin.
She said it at 21:00. "He loves you just like you are, but He's waiting for you to love Him just like He is." We have to fully surrender our lives and our sin to Him.

Out of all the ex-gay videos that I have seen, this woman has been the most inspirational! All of the other videos were inspirational as well, so i don't mean to demean everyone else's testimony, but the way she broke it all down was touching. I am not and I have never been a homosexual, but to hear how she was able to break out of a lifestyle of sin inspires me to do the same with other sins that haunt me in my life. Charlene Cothran, you are truly blessed!
Because she eloquent, precise and with conviction. She speaks from her heart, is what makes her different from other born again gay videos.
Being a gay Christian has really been a giant struggle. A huge thorn in my side. I have tried to love God and be gay. It doesn’t work for me. I had to choose Christ as the most important thing in my life. When I finally did that. The gay feelings began to become less. The gay lifestyle became ugly and superficial to me . I’m still gay but the closer I become to God, the gay feelings gets smaller. I don’t know where this is going but I know God is in control now, not me. I’m now at the point to where I don’t need to act upon the gay feelings. They are there but Jesus is there more. It is a constant and daily struggle but the love of Christ is so much more that any struggle I have.
So good for you, S M, and don't give up on yourself, ever. Just trust in Him who is mighty to save. Trust and be patient. All will be well.
What I especially love about Charlene's testimony is when she tells that many homosexuals that try to exit fail BECAUSE they only focus on being released of their homosexual sin, but Jesus wants it ALL. It's like the hymn "I Surrender All", we have to bring all of it, our anger, our rebellion of every kind, our unforgiveness, our deceptiveness, our weaknesses and failures of every kind, bring the whole package, all of it, to Jesus, come to Him right where you are and surrender it all to Him at the cross of Calvary. Don't continue to try to fight these things in your own strength because you will fail, but when you surrender the whole thing, and say "Jesus, you make over my life the way you want, I release it all to your wisdom and strength and power, help me to believe you and trust you, fill me with your thoughts, your Holiness, your forgiveness, and your power to overcome everything the devil puts in my way" surrender it all to Jesus.

The truth near the end of the video is amazing. Yes, God loves you, but do you love him the way he is? Do you accept that he is righteous and holy, and he is not ok with homosexuality? Do you still love him knowing that?
I so agree. Never heard it put like that. I have never lived or struggled with homosexuality but this woman spoke right to my heart. Especially with that line.

Sean I lived life as a homosexual, I walked in the same air that you did, there is a reason why you are not comfortable and you do not like it, because it is the Spirit of God that is calling you out of that lifestyle. You may believe me or not, but the evidence remains that I am no longer a homosexual and that I have been sexually pure. The word of God says this in Romans 1:26-28
"For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done."
This is your chance and God giving you an opportunity to repent and believe on His Son Jesus Christ who could heal you of ALL sin, homosexuality included. He will come again, that day is coming, and you may decide not to repent now, but you will be brought to understand that in the Countenance of a Holy, Awesome GOD, no sin can stand.

In a confusing world, this testimony is such a blessing, compass, and light.
It's a lot of deciet and back stabbing I the gay community. Been their, done that, wrote a book about it. Deciete it every where true but in my mind it was magnified in that community. I was "turned out" in ATL when I was very young. Thank God, I've been delivered for a very time. I've always wanted to be a wife with a traditional family.
What incredible testimony. You are so brave to stand up for our Lord. The most difficult thing for many Christians to do is to defend their faith in the face of adversity, but I don't know of anyone who had to face a more hostile audience. The Lord has truly blessed you with courage.

This is so true! I too lived as a lesbian for almost 20 years and have left that lifestyle with Jesus at my side..I can testify as one who has been there and KNOW what it's like, that it is misery, i was lost inside,in a lot of pain, depressed, didn't know who i was, trying to medicate my pain with alcohol and drugs. I don't ever want to visit that place again. I hope with people like this speaking out, it gives other people trapped in that place the courage to look at it for what it is and turn to Jesus.

WOW! I am SO blessed by her obedience!! My goodness! I pray and believe she is still on the path God placed her on, what an awesome testimony!!
You have encourage me so much. Hearing you tell your story when you had to STAND for His Truth and say what God told you to say among all those gay folks, I felt your fear and do feel your fear. I have not yet openly on social media testified how God delivered me out of that lifestyle for maybe 20yrs or so. I was still in it when I first went to a Pentecostal Church and I saw the Power of God in that church thinking it was still ok, that God loves me and made me who I was. In this church, I heard people speaking in tongues, falling out in the Spirit, dancing in the Spirit, things that I have seen on TV church shows in the 80's and I was seeing it live! And I wanted it ALL...ALL OF IT, all the God had...so, one night I prayed this prayer, "Lord, if this what I'm doing REALLY isn't right, then You have to change it because I can't." And that was it. Have NEVER gone back to it. The thing that folks don't get with living a life with Christ is when you accept Jesus into you life, He dwells IN YOU, His Holy Spirit LIVES in you and will guide you into all truth. He will not let you fall back without that CONVICTION in your spirit. I have never gone back to that lifestyle, but I have tried to go dancing at a straight club. No drinking...just to dance. I figure what's the harm in that. Well, once I went inside, I FELT all this evil around me and I tried to shake it off. When I went further in, surrounded by more people, I saw evil. I felt evil so intensely that I had to leave. The point is if you accept Jesus into your life, He WILL keep you. Thank you for your awesome testimony!!!

I am praying for all the people who are down rating this video. As I myself had Satan put this stuff in my mind for over a year, this is what the entire LGBT community needs to see. I love this testimony. Only Jesus frees from bondage and only Jesus saves!
If I call myself a Christian and love Jesus then I want to do what Jesus says is right and not do those things which He says are wrong (Luke 6:46). I'm sorry Matthew Vines, but you can't have Jesus and continue to live in unrepentant sin, no matter which sin you want to keep. God has made Himself very clear, like it or not.
Lesbians and gays can be converted. The devil knows that and that is why wherever and whenever a man or woman of God shows up to show Jesus as the way, all kinds of forces such as government, false prophets, and so forth rise up to prevent them from hearing the truth of salvation. In Christ all sinners can be saved, for the Bible says that Christ died for our sins. The only requisite is that we respond to the invitation of God in Isaiah 1:18. If you know that you are a sinner and desire to be free, please go and confess your sin. You will have a new life, for God has promised to make you a new creature in 2 Corinthian 5:17

Wow! What a wonderful testimony!!! She hit the nail right on the head when she said that at one point she had to decide ("choose this day who you will serve!") This is a powerful statement when you are coming to the crossroad of either choosing the wide road of your gay/lesbian lifestyle, or choosing the narrow but right road of leaving everything behind for Jesus Christ!

I was once an elder of a Christian church fo nearly 10 years. Then I got into homosexuality and hid from God. The message that we must give our entire self to God rather than asking him to limit his change to our same sex attractions was eye opening. Praise God for freedom in Christ, forgiveness and a new life. Thank you for this video.

I want to learn how to understand and love gay and lesbian folks where they are (I'm a middle aged, married Christian woman), and Charlene's testimony made me want to jump up, hug her, and cheer. Thanks for sharing your journey, and I love your picture about loving God for who he IS, and how that changes our response (we are so keen on being loved as we are--that puts it in perfect perspective). I can't relate to same sex attraction, but, my goodness, there are plenty of appetites in my life that aren't in submission to God's holiness. Thanks for magnifying his grace and truth.

Charlene, today I wake up looking for encouraging words of people that have been set free from lesbianism. I noticed that in other videos the gay/lesbian movement started insulting and descouraging the lady in the video. You were very clear that this has happened to you as well, however, after you have explained and unveiled so clearly the plan of the gay/lesbian movement and God's plan...what can they say? The seed that once was planted in you, grew. Praise the LORD!!

I too have been set free from homosexuality through faith in Jesus Christ and through the Power of His Holy Spirit . 2018 will be 20yrs!! . It hasn't been an easy journey, but I know there is Victory in JESUS!! Luke 9:23 says that if we choose to follow Christ we must first deny ourselves and pick up our cross DAILY. It is a daily decision to follow Christ, and nothing we deny ourselves will ever compare to the price Jesus paid to save us FROM our sin, not in our sin. Dear Charlene, I will pray for you so your testimony is heard by everyone that is trapped in this life style of deception. The enemy came and knocked on my door and captured my son. I pray for him so he can met Jesus and be liberated. I feel I am going against the current and has been labeled by some family members as a parent that does not love her son that I am denying his nature. I love my son so much but I know this is not what God intended for him in this world. I have prayed so much to The Lord for knowledge and wisdom to speak with my son with the correct words and for your testimonies to get to him. Every opportunity I have I remind him who he is...a SON of GOD and his mission will be revealed to him soon. It is difficult to speak to him as he feels he has all the answers since he is a law student. I tell him that I know who he is and after God no one else knows him more than I do. I tell him that I will never give up on him and how much I love him and that I will continue praying for him so God can reveal the truth to him. Your testimony and the hundreds of testimonies I have heard show me that that God can also transform my son. The Lord gives me the strength needed to wait patiently for His work to be completed on my son. My son and I used to have a beautiful relationship and when he got to the university everything changed...I know that the university was not entirely at fault and there were some deficiencies in our family for this to happen. I have taken it upon myself to speak with other parents and adolescents about this topic. Now, I also know that The Lord has also given me a mission. Charlene, I thank God for you. You said what I have been compassionately telling gay and homosexual students that I have taught in the past. My message to them was simple: You will never be completely happy. Joy, pure joy would elude you until you give in to Jesus. I am a musician and have contacted many gay and homosexual students whom I loved and enjoyed working with. I was always compassionate with them centered on the theme you mentioned. Just not being happy. At any rate, you must work the work of Him who has sent you while it is day. Be blessed. May you gain many victories for Jesus.

I have tears of JOY for what God is doing. ..God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not die but have everlasting life. John 3:16.
