Being from the UK I may be biased but once you drive a Mini you do love them! Obviously not a Kei though! I think Will was some sort of marketing project that Toyota was part of. The Moke is basically a Mini kit car and very cool.
Buy the Rover Mini! I just bought a 97 and would love to see American content which seems rare! I’d even do a port pickup with ya assuming they come in around the same time (still waiting on a booking date).
Austin/rover mini are ridiculously good cars. Up to.1275 cc four-cylinder engine, four speed. And the wheels are at the corners.. you would be very much impressed at the sport of those car.
At 18:40 that’s a Mini Moke which was the sort of Jeep beach buggy version of the classic Mini. It’s got the same engine and suspension as a classic Mini but a different body. That’s a genuine one which was built from the mid 1960s to the early 1990s. But there are fake ones being made new in China and also with electric drive trains. They look pretty much the same, but there are subtle styling differences and they are not going to be as fun to drive as the real thing.
The Mini Mike was originally either an Austin or Morris branded vehicle originally developed for possible military use but the UK military turned it down. You saw the engine...basically a Mini Minor with an open tub body and soft top. There's some outfit now making electric Mokes that I think just suck and blasphemy the name. Lol. But true. Very cool. I've driven one and they've a blast.
The red car with the soft top next to the White Samurai is called a Mini Moke I believe. I have not seen those in ages. The Mazda Familia too, was really an awesome car, it was comparable to a Toyota Corolla back in the 90s. I believe the Engine was done by Ford though. Awesome videos though, I am loving how they have those cars in pristine condition just sitting in a lot.
18:40 red car is a Moke. (say it the same as Coke) it’s like the mini mechanically, just a different body. Probably way lighter because of no glass or roof
@@Waybeforethefame pretty decent. You have to remember it never changed much in the 50 odd years of production. Rust kills them in the U.K, so finding a rust free example in Japan makes them a great proposition. Decent JDM imports in the U.K easily fetch north of 10k GBP.
The VW is a lupo they have 1000 , 14000 or the GTi 1600 so half an R32 . Minis are 850 , 1000 , 1275 & 1300. I don't understand anyone would buy 1 from Japan when their English & won't get the American tax that Japan seem to charge extra because it's going to the states.
@Waybeforethefame Minis are cool cars , I'm sure once you drive one , you would want to own one. They are rare here in the UK , most have been crashed , or rusted out. But the ones in Japan are in good condition.
Nick, 3 years ago I imported a Honda Beat in great condition with just 38,000 kilometers. But I ended up getting rid of it because it was not as fun to drive as my classic Mini. The Mini rides better, definitely handles better, and is a lot more fun to drive. The only 2 things the Beat had was the great engine that reved to nearly 9K rpms and it was a convertible. Overall the Honda just seemed to be a cheaper made car.
@@Waybeforethefame that's what I said auto expert - automatic - post-November 1995, CVT was replaced with auto transmission. No problem, take me along next time - your experting needs supplementing.

Mini Moke. It's a Jeep like version of the classic Mini. Highly desired.
I wonder what it sold for

I’m in the U.K. I’ve had 2 Mini’s. The most fun you can have on 4 wheels.

Not sure, but think you could get Honda conversion kits for the mini mokes to change out the motor.
K swap MOKE 😂
That crown probably still rides like a casket on a cloud.
looks real good
Bro, I owned a Volkswagon Lupo but not the GTI version, it is indeed a fun little gem..1300 Auto and 1600 5 speed GTI
I really like the way they look
wow you need to get the mini driving it is smiles per miles
I like that four cylinder yellow Toppo. I'm not sure but it seems the ECI version has more horsepower than the carburetor.
Yeah me too its one of those nice inexpensive kei cars
@8:17 that looks like a Smart Fortwo 450 seat!
Interesting
60s mini pretty cool.
The crown car looked clean!
It was one of the best
Hahaha I was just looking at that crown wagon online 2 hrs ago
😂
I've been thinking about buying a Daihatsu Mira 2006. could you show me one if you can find it somewhere
12:09 it’s so odd looking it ends up being cool
R2 typically means that the frame has corrosion holes in addition to being an R grade. 100% pass unless youre gonna part it out.
Sad part is someone is going to buy it in America and try to flip it

Oh wow I never heard of it , I wonder if it’s cheap
15:39 thats a volkswagen polo
red thing is a moke
Why is it that every time I see something in your video's that I like, its an automatic? That white Jimny for example.
Automatics ain’t that bad
The moke was nice!
Toppo let’s go
That’s a mini or Austin moke!
I would take toppo too, than other cars from there
It was one of the best
Minis are awesome ..
In Japan some Minis have a Honda engine dropped in them
Minis with v tec engines
Red car , again another Mini, Mini conversion...
Where was this auction?
I need to drive one and see if it’s worth it
@Waybeforethefame

Drive a mini. Here cars won road rallies in their past. Way sportier than kei: you’ll love it.
Is it faster than a kei ??
