Question of the day: My first wife had a real problem with my female figures, especially those who had somewhat provocative outfits. My second wife loves my figures even more than I do and has zero issues with any of them, male or female. That being said, I don't collect the really racy or “exploitive” figures. I find those to be pretty disturbing myself. McFarlane’s Tortured Souls, Twisted Oz, and Twisted Fairy Tales lines come to mind here. But hey, whatever floats your boat.
This is my favourite version of, Sheeva from her intro in MK3. This figure looks brilliant and very accurate. But. Her proportions look good to herself but in scale to rest of line in Storm Collectibles, she is far too big. In the game she is smaller than, Shao Khan, but the figure towers well over the figure of Khan. She’s as big as Goro as a figure when she should just be about Jax sort of height at best. Happy to see this review made and look forward to when mine arrives. I did order mine from BBTS and I live in the Uk. It was pushed back though as was meant to be released last year in August 2023. Finally on the way.
The package needs to be in good shape and it needs to have a proper window to show the action figure in the package. Of course, we need to open the package to enjoy the action figures. We should also keep the package to put the figure back in the package for storage or protecting the figures while moving.
If somebody isn't willing to accept you on your terms then they aren't willing to accept you at all. That's not love. Don't settle for anything less than love. We all deserve it. My partner collects Monster High Dolls, which is a hobby I actually got her back into when she found out that I collect action figures. I also got her into Nendoroids - which I think I just wanted an excuse to own because they didn't fit into my regular collection.
I'm out of box, and I'll keep the packaging if it's for import figures or lines that have more accessories. It helps keep the value somewhat in the aftermarket if and when I need to make room. Also, continuing off of other comments, it'd be hilarious if Jada picked up the license and did Liu, Cage and Sonya right off the bat. I do know that in a stream Juhn mentioned being interested in a UMK3 line if they did get it hypothetically.
Lol for the question, no one I know has any issues with the figures I buy and I don't mind putting them on display. Great looking figure though even with the issues. I'd definitely get Mileena since she's one of my favorites from mk but only if it's one of the older designs which I like more
Definitely. Mcfarlane does not do articulation well enough for MK, and storm collectibles is expensive as hell. Jada with a MK, kengan, baki, castlevania, and Marvel V Capcom license would be amazing
Absolutely, I don't care that much about Street Fighter, but I was tempted to get the figures from Jada because of how good they look, if they did MK figures, it would be an instant buy for me
I am hoping for this so much. These are not affordable to me, atleast not to collect any multiples of. It being compatible with the SF line would make it even better.
It's unfortunate that the MK license is no longer on the line. We'll never see Kitana/Mileena prototype turn into the full release product. Heck, they haven't made Cage and Sonya. But I hope Jada will get the license, I always wanted an MK figs that affordable for my wallet...
I was hoping and wondering when you were gonna review Storm Collectibles Sheeva. I will say the right leg is alittle loose on mine, but I thought maybe that was because of the posing and moving it. Thanks for the review and I have mine displayed out in the open, with no cares. :D
Question of the day 1: Nah, I’ve been pretty up front with relationships about collecting in general. I think it also comes down to the mindset of the partner or family you’re living with. Question of the day 2: The packaging quality matters very little to me. I like the window, and I like consistency on the box. She looks great! I’m just surprised there isn’t a black or slightly darker red line along her outfit. But then they’d probably have to add an outline to her back spots. If storm has indeed lost or done with the MK license I feel like these last few figures have been a strong note to end on. Especially that Shao Kahn throne set. It sucks to leave it unfinished but they did seem to be scattered throughout all the MK titles.

I'm glad I sold my MK line from Storm a few years ago. Seven to eight years later and we never got the complete roster from MK1, 2, or 3. We didn't even get the main character (Lui Kang) until last year! Inconsistent sculpts, wasting time on 500 ninjas, and the inability to fit them with other MK lines due to Storm's scale means this was a bad investment from the beginning. Storm Collectibles stretches themselves too thin with way too many product lines.

Agree about them having too many licences they are never going to complete any of them
Not only tons of ninjas, but seemingly short production runs, meaning Sub Zero and Scorpion are almost always crazy expensive. Sheeva is also the ONLY female they ever did; no Kitana, Mileena, or Jade (despite the obvious buck reuse there), not even a Sonya. No Johnny Cage. No Shang Tsung. I could go on. Great figures, but the roll out just didn't make sense. Oh, and DOUBLING the cost of Liu Kang by ONLY making him available with a giant dragon pack-in? That was just low. I mean, yes, the dragon is very, very well done, but damn, not everyone needs or cares about his Animality.
Question of the day: I haven't had any issues to be honest. I've had fanservice-y action figures in my collection since I was a kid. It didn't bother my parents when I was a kid, nor has it ever bothered SOs. It also doesn't bother my wife when I buy them now. It's probably what you said. As long as you're not weird about it, no one else has any reason to be weird about it either.
Anthony, it's not just your figure's hips. I think the majority of them have been loose. It's a bummer, but doesn't seem to hinder posing or stability once she's balanced.
No shame buying anything, shame is weakness👎🏻 Packaging quality varies on the figure itself, price, & rarity. Also I 100% cop this Sheeva love her classic design, outfit, and that face is beautiful👌🏻

The loose hips bother me but im finding that many of my other storm figures dont want to stand after awhile even my new goro who took a tumble the other day so i put them on doll stands . Very annoying . Having said that since i have goro ,kintaro and motaro i feel some what obligated to get sheeva to finish my shotokan shelf . But perhaps not as much as a priority as she once was .
It’s hard to see any Storm Mortal Kombat figures and not feel a level of disappointment, they had the license for over 10 years and they didn’t come close to pushing out a complete MK1 let alone a MK2 roster, they did give us about a dozen repainted/retooled ninjas and they re-released Shao Khan a lot though.
@@AnthonysCustoms idk I’ve seen a lot of talk about Storm cancelling their MK license since they removed the license from their website page. The waist, the butt and the chest look really muscular lacking, almost like they are parts of a different figure. They don't match the legs and arms at all. Guess Sheeva was skipping those days on the gym
I'd say at the beginning of the relationships I'd be worried but more about the nerdy and expensive hobby of collecting figures rather than the figure. Still, anything Anime is pretty bad, but my girlfriend knows I just like most knight/armored figures or classic game ones like Halo, WoW or Mortal Kombat.
This does not look promo pics. Totally lack of paint. Even if this not there last figure. I think it’s my last storm mortal kombat
Lack of paint? The whole thing is shaded
