This just popped up in my feed and made my day. My first ever exposure to bmx was a 2 hip king of vert competition that my parents taped off tv back in 1988. During that show, they also had footage from other 2 hip events including this event. I loved the street riding section and thought it was so cool. I was always finding pieces of wood and trying to jump them in some way or another. Blast from the past.
This contest was in the 1988 video vision's mondo skate,i watched that it so much as a kid,i love that 360 wallride 4:44 (that guys fist pump right before)so sick, thanks for the upoad.
Unreal, absolutely love this shit. A Manuel gets a cheer, bmx at its finest! 540 wallride? So good!
Wall ride 360 in 1988 that trick is sick now in 2020 !!!
I'm pretty sure it was at least 20 yrs til someone did that trick after Craig Cambell.
@@LoneWolfed Ruben did it in Road Fools Europe and Ian Morris said it was the first one they'd seen since Campbell.
Leigh Ramsdell did one in the early 90s out of a quarter to a wall. He was very progressive.

Then your watching the right stuff!
@Snakebite BMX I'm almost considering putting front brakes back on so I can learn some old freestyle tricks on decks and banks

Wall 540 @ 4:45 ! 👍
Does this spot still exist? I can't find it in Santee now.
Totally RAD!

First attempt at a sprocket stall ever @ 3:50
The shit!!! 😁🚴
R.L. was too dialed
Back then “street” meant just doing the same park tricks on shitty ramps with no landings
“Back then” there were hardly any parks to do tricks on…
