    Fantastic tour! My hope is to one day have a large greenhouse/conservatory, with a beautiful Persian rug in the centre on which I can do yoga, and be overhung with a giant canopy of large-leaf aroids & palms whilst listening to J S Bach cello suites. We can but dream!

      Here in india .. we dream of having Tulips,Daffodils, Lavender flower fields :) Ariods grow like weed, grow everywhere

      @@madhavidegapudi08 Yes, I guess what is a common plant to a person in one part of the world, is a desired exotic plant to another person elsewhere. We all seek that which is different...everything in life is enhanced by contrast.

      Make sure it’s a small Persian rug, so you can air it outside and not have it develop mould 😀 I hope it happens for you real soon

    My string of dolphins turns into orcas or mantas when they don't get enough light. For example, when a strand starts to get long and grows into a shady spot that string will be a different shape than the rest. I keep mine outside North Facing balcony in the California Bay Area.

    I never see the immense selection of terra cotta pots in the range of colors at any garden center near me. I would just buy pots even if I had no specific plant for them in mind.
    Interesting to learn more of the business side of things and what goes into keeping a thriving plant centered business competitive. They seem to have it all!

    What a great plant selection. I am curious though at pricing, it just feels like the average houseplant grower is being priced out of the market. I know that is what is happening here in the Denver area.

    • @3WolfMoon
      @3WolfMoon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s generally 2x the price of the same exact plant from Home Depot. But Terrain does have a ton of selection that isn’t offered at one of the big box stores.

    The place looks great. That lady with all the corporate speak made me feel icky. For example, Logees is a big place, but they still made me feel like they are still people and not a want to be Walmart.

    I didn't like the fact that all you guys did was talk about plants as products for consumers and how to make more money off of them. I think this was my least favorite of all your tours. Business and making money should'nt be the motivation for having plants and collecting. come second.

    Love the plants and seeing the sources. But come on... I can't be the only one. That was the craziest corporate jargon I've ever heard. So many crazy euphemisms and ambiguity. She (the company spokeswoman) seems like a hard worker, but this is the plant community. Not the space to speak commercialese. Sorry to be negative! It was just a bit hilarious and jarring

      Besides, it was just a minute or two.
