I actually moved off of NCAA14 back to NCAA 11 and it's been a blast. It was the last NCAA version where you could play defense. It did have the super jump LB, but if you threw a touch pass you could get it over them. Great video... a lot of great memories playing these games.
How you feel about 12 or 13
I’m 33 yrs old I used to always get madden as a kid. The first NCAA I got was 06 and the following year 07(PlayStation 2)Some of the best sports gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Love building small schools and getting attached to my recruits and even drafting them in madden. I didn’t get the next ncaa’s after and eventually went off to college not having a ps3. My friends in college had ncaa 14 and we had some great times playing each other. But won’t ever forget my sweet childhood memories of NCAA 06 & 07
One of my favorite traits of the old NCAA football games was the presence of the fans. If your team sucked the stadium would not be filled it was always cool to start off with a really bad team and dynasty and then a few years down the road have a totally packed house.
That's real shit 💯💯 so much fun. I literally don't mind hooking up the ps2 and 360 out often to ONLY play the old NCAAs 🤣
Late to this video, but man this was my entire childhood. I was born in 96 so I remember vividly playing all of these from NCAA 2003 till NCAA 2014. My dad’s friends would come over and we would play tournaments. Also I remember entering in an NCAA tournament our local high school had when I was 6 & making it all the way to the semi finals 😂
Damn the graphics have improved sooo much over the years, I think NCAA 13 was the best over 14 mostly because they kept the original recruiting. I hated that they changed it in 14
13 was so epic and replayable
I played 13 for like 4-5 months straight when it came out lol didn't play anything else 🤣🎮 10 and 13 had the best recruiting imo

you say 2002 was a cash grab due to less features but check the player movement and graphic development from 01 to 02. huuuuge improvement! 06 was my childhood favorite because of the hesiman moments and playing with vince young/reggie bush. 11 was so hyped because of the tebow package and that fake run pass feature + that was the year the added team builder and you could create your own uniforms online and import them to the game!! 12 was a huge difference though not just lighting, player movement was a little more fluid plus they added the thin arm and leg bands and hand warmers! 14 definitely the best tho, man great memories over the years
Plus, this was common with EA sports titles moving over to next generation consoles

2000 04 06 10 11 13 14 were all amazing for their time and continue to stand out
06 had the best soundtrack period!
Also 06 had the dynasty mode megazine type thing that was super dope
NCAA Football 2003 was the first college football game I ever played on a gaming system I purchased for myself (Nintendo Gamecube). After said game, I also purchased in the intervening years...NCAA Football 2004 and 2005 for the Gamecube. NCAA Football 06 I purchased for the original XBOX then after that, 07, 09 and 10 were all purchased for the PSP. NCAA Football 11 I bought for the PS2 which wound up being the final college title for that system and one year later made the jump to PS3 and acquired NCAA Football 12 and 13 and that was the end of my NCAA football gaming experience for awhile at least. All in all great memories
06 and 14 are my Favorites. But 06 is sentimental because I was playing that during the time my son was born. Best time of my life perhaps!

I'm super late to this video.. by a few months. Great stuff man. I can only hope the "New Ncaa" game EA is working on isn't trash when it comes out. 06, 08, 11 on the PS2 and 14 on the PS3 will always be my faves.

Man U brought back so many memories with this video lol I forgot how amazing ncaa 06 and 07 are but ncaa 11 is when things started gettin good for the 360 then seeing u play revamped is like crazy how they redid the game and the gameplay is smooooth!!

NCAA 07 was my favorite. I miss having the slow down when a key moment happened, the crowd noises effecting the play calls, being able to see the noise level - all were amazing! They took out all the key features that made ncaa football fun and exciting in the new generation consoles after that.
Its so funny to think about playing any of these games and being like "oh my god it looks so real!"

2012 with mark Ingram on the cover is my favorite, that was coming off the cam season I’m pretty sure so this would’ve been the summer before and while he was in the game as they qb nobody knew what was coming from that team. And like u said with tcu boise and Oklahoma that was just a fun ass year of college football compiled with a very solid fun game, thank u dawg this was good nostalgia. I can still hear the school anthems from they marching bands as the soundtrack that was the best

im from the UK so these games weren't really available for me, thanks to emulators playing the PS2 NCAA 06 I just love it & have had so much fun, like those games are made before the ultimate team boom so are made for the single player experience

You’re right on ea money grab in early ps2 days Just like ncaa football 2002 on ps2 nascar 2001 had arcade feel but fantasy tracks was took out from ps1 version due to ps2 first time engineering games for football and Racing
Tekken tag tournament on ps2 was one of those experimental physics games for first time on ps2 but I liked it

Too be honest I tried most them and I have to go with 06 and 11 for 360/PS3. 06 has the dept and sound track. 11 just the graphic, presentation, and movement it just a little bit more realistic. Plus the grass looks great!!!
if 14 had the grass and road to glory from 11 w Erin Andrews it would be the greatest game ever! my only problem w 14 is that road to glory is so dry! nothing makes it feel special as your player has amazing performance during the season or break school records.

I played evety College Football game, PS1 1996-2001 ( EA Sports and Gamebreaker) PS2 2002-2011 I edited every roster FBS, FCS and Hustoric schools on PS2 2002-2011, (Dreamcast 2002 College Football, EA Sports, Gamebreaker, and 2K3 College Football). PS3 and XBOX 360 2007-2014 (EA Sports and XBOX 360, Doug Williams Black College Football 2009). Maximum Football 2019 and 2020 I created every FBS school on PS5 and every FCS school on PS4.

I started playing ncaa 10 on Xbox 360 then went and played ‘07 and noticed when playing defence I noticed you can’t flip the camera view like you can on 10’ by clicking the left joystick down. I’m assuming ‘07 didn’t have this feature yet ?

@@bluntroastin i think it was 09. Think that year they added a lot to the running game. In 14 they added a new system too where you hold L2 and use the stick to do a number of moves which would also take away stamina. I never even really attempted to learn because it would’ve taken to much time lol

I really loved 06 . The sound track was awesome along with the roster at the time ! Best of the ps2 / original Xbox era ! I prefer the Xbox version cause the graphics pop a little smoother along with Madden 09 on original Xbox beautiful looking and playing game that know one knows existed very few made and sold

The graphics in 14 look significantly better than 13, too bad it costs so much to get 14 nowadays. And yeah, I wanted to love NCAA 2005 but it was a broken game with all the dropped passes. The graphical look of 06 I always hated and I thought the graphics got worse from 2005
On the PS2/Xbox version, NCAA 2004 I turned Princeton into a national power, their uniform back then was awesome in that game and I would put all my players in dark visors, it looked badass coming out of the tunnel. In the 360 versions can you use Princeton?
I know this comment is over a year old, but to answer your question: Princeton is an FCS team, so it's not in the PS3/360 versions. The last time FCS teams could be used was in the PS2 version of NCAA 11.
