this is my favorite build in grounded ever! been rocking this set ever since 1.3 came out and loved it ever since!

The NEW patch changed the battleaxes. The "Flake" Axes no have Stamina Surge NOT the attack speed buff, The "Edge" Axes have the attack speed buff!

Same, it looked so cool and was so fun from almost the beginning.
The sour battle axe was always op to me.
Tbf it was one of the coolest looking weapons in the game
Yk I was unironicly using it before either of its buffs, just bc I liked chopper mutation and two handed weapons, then it just happens to casually become the best weapon in the game
Please make a crit bulid with the mantis scythe
Would you swap stuff around to use termite armor instead of broodmother helmet against infected broodmother since she is immune to venom? Or is it more for the defense that u get?
Can you make a how to get trinkets guid, I feel like in all your videos the trinkets are the big thing. I know you probably duped them before but I’m wondering what is a good way now through different NG+’s
If you want to get the Go big again and Super win trophies do you need to complete the bosses again in ng+?
The bosses are needed for 100% but is that including defeating them again in ng+?
Would there be a good substitute for the motherdemon mask? If I am just going for plain hit damage and crit chance
For brood mother I ways take a spicy staff cause it destroys all her spawns

For mutations, I personally put chopper, buff lungs, cardio fan, trapper peeper, and coup de grass. Constantly being able to swing with buff lungs is really good
buff lungs isn’t really good once you get a lot of milk molars though
Buff lungs and cardio fan are horrible because chopper already gives you a buff that negates the exaustion time on phase 3, making you instantly regenerate your stamina, you can use damage reduction depending on the enemy or more damage increase

I would say another way to make this build better is to get a trinket with implant weakness of whatever element your battle axe is (fresh is most common).
Not too sure how the implant weakness works right now. Some say its bugged others said not so i decided not to add it in here
Some fresh implant trinket are displayed fresh but are actually salt or sour. SO it requirees hard testing. That's why cdinky chosed to not use them.
@@CDiinky ah ok, thanks for the info. I did think it was odd because sometimes I absolutely shredded through certain enemies that we resistant to fresh, and enemies who were weak did not die as quick.
@@Armchairtuna717 just a guess, but maybe it doesn’t add weakness to already weak bugs to the element, it just gives bugs who aren’t weak to the element the weakness

I feel like every one of these builds all include fire ant armor, broodmother armor, and mantis armor. (Not in a bad way)

Why not keep theBM helm for the poison venom and swap out the chest for termite armor and legs with fire ant? You add some giddy goop in a trinket and you have de buffs galore while doing really good damage.

Try a trinket with samurai, finale fury and increased damaged with the sweet swords, coaltana, katanga, coldtana or any of the reskins
Are there any other trinkets that give samurai or finale fury that aren’t in ng+?
Would the frosted flake also work well for the mantis/wasp queen since she’s not resistant to fresh? That would save lots of fusion crystals
Yep. It works great against them.
Do you have any good builds for non bosses... I have my base in the upper yard and it still takes a good fight to get id of some of the creatures
All builds i create are also good for around the yard. I just use boss fights to show the damage

I've always been curious. Why not broodmother chest and fire ant helmet for the same effects and max resistance?

I found a cone that adds Implant Weaknes: Fresh, Fresh damage up: Major, and Damage Resistance. Now it's the only cone I use with my Frosted Flake. Highly recommend trying to find something like that!
I got a fresh damage up best, implant weakness fresh, aaaanndd summon thorns. The last one sucks.
make sure you check that is a real fresh weakness. because currently both sour and salt weakness display as fresh weakness.
@@zerochan2915 I did not know that, but considering it can take out a ladybird on ng+2 in a single combo every time, I think it is truly a fresh weakness.
imagine finale fury, implant weakness, and elemental damage up best
Not sure if finale fury stacks with the axes. I was thinking boss damage or defense event.
What mutations do you have with this build?
Did you get the mantis trinket
The dots don't look like they are doing hardly anything. I can barely see the bar moving at all when you aren't actively attacking. Makes me think only the corrosion is worth it.
Edit: I would definitely rethink your armor setup, especially against the Infected Broodmother since her resistances make the dots useless.
i love battle axes but i would go full fire ant i think the set bonus and sleek bonuses are underrated and i dont really like damage over time and acid procs so often with how fast the battle axes are but thats just my opinion also broodmother is resistant to chopping by 25% not 50% and with chopper she is resistant to chopping by only 5%
This is a good set but not needed too much imo, i prefer more extra effects and debuffs to the creatures

Bet you're happy now with the new patch that allowed the hedge broodmother's scream to be perfect blocked. I sure am.

so the bug trophies wiki page says that the head mounts give 25% bonus damage, and the status effects wiki page says that +creature damage gives 20% bonus damage. where did you get the +10% damage number from, is there a 3rd wiki page with a different number?
I always remember it being +10% but could of changed

Why do you use bulky on the fire ant and assassin armor is it better than using it down sleek? Currently ive been using the assassin's mask sleek chest of the mother deamon sleek and fire and leggings sleek with a lvl 9 sour ant lion great sword and its been tearing the yard up
The sleek effect for fire ant does not work unless you use the full set, the sleek mantis crit stun is not needed as the stun on the battleaxe is already max
@@CDiinky does the + acid damage that you get from wearing an individual piece not work with sour damage or have I just been assuming wrong this whole time
@@orochimaru7o226 +acid damage only works with the set bonus of fire ant gear.

Mother demon chest gives more defence but style points!
Me running around with one weapon. The salty morning star. With a trinket containing starcrusher, salty damage up best, and implant weakness salt. Nothing resists my weapons damage so I have no need for any other weapon. Just obliterates everything and I use barbarian with it.
I think Starcrusher does nothing if you don't switch to a different weapon

@@literatemax I’m sure it deals generic too cause orb weavers are resistant to generic and the second hit obliterates their health compared to the first.
@@sneakygoliath2568salt morning star does tiny damage. The axes are much better even after the nerf. If you used salty COTMD it would do much more damage.
Can you make some 1.4 base game builds? I know NG+ is the hot thing rn but a lot of the builds you have are for 1.3 and idk if they're outdated or not. :( Us new PlayStation players need all the help we can get!
No areas have changed so its all the same

Yes and no im not a huge fan of clubs so i wouldn’t recommend them

Problem with this build its completely luck based. I have gotten extremely unlucky with my cones and the grind it takes to max out a weapon is crazy
That is the problem with most builds.

You can get them from black ox in ng+ but it’s only a 5% chance

I don't understand the insistence of so many people to use the broodmother mask. Poison doesn't scale so even by NG+1 poison barely affects the damage. I'd rather use fire ant helmet and termite chest plate or full widow.

What, no mention for the biggest contributor to damage output of your gear set? That being the timesink and grind necessary to level your axe/axes. Picking the right ng to focus you weapon level grind is also important. NG2 minimum but better if you push to 3.
Ofc if your underprepared this build will be much weaker
why go into higher ng+ to grind? surely thats when enemies get stronger
Once you master parry games is easy….unless it’s broodmother 😱

@@finnpugsley5662 by every ng+ you get an epic +1 infused ooze per infused insect + chance to find cones on more insects, yay!
that is if you can kill the insects with infused sour orb / venom / fresh staff / spicy staff / explosive attack / cluster bomb / shockwave attack hoping it doesn't have all the effects at the same time while having extra health and damage per ng+

this literally doesn’t work anymore i’ve been doing it for hours.
My guy keeps saying infected broodmother because in his streams he fights it so much and the other bosses are kinda irrelevant

@@felixamin598 Yeah, no idea why they're even in the RNG pool. Quite possibly some of the most useless effects except maybe Black Widows but even then you can just get a trinket with a bunch of Sour roles and it'll out perform it. If it was 25% then I'd see them being more usable but this whole update needs some major balance changes so anything could change in time.
The crucial aspect of these builds is the trinkets. Ultimately, Grounded success now mostly comes from RNG, not skill or accomplishment. Sucks.

How do you guys playing this game? I try to play and everytime I got raid (i didnt get out of the base in more than 3 days, because of building) and now I have red ant raid that are immortal and cant END THE RAID.
It's a game bug, turn off faction reactivity
Save quitting will Cancel any active raid in progress and sometimes its required due to the immortal bugs.
@@steelslide9601 Not everyone plays on custom difficulty so may not be a possibility.

@@ifs-wolves9034 I did it at least 5x and all the times came invencible bugs... I temporarily fixed it by luring the bug to the water and making him surrender the raid (don't work with flying ones)
