21:07 About that, remember the last video where they said DC movies were making bank after Justice League? Yeah, that aged like milk because after the Wonder Woman sequel, DC films have been bombing left and right to the point where WB decided they were gonna reboot the whole universe with Guardians of the Galaxy's James Gunn being in charge of the whole thing. The first movie in this new universe will be Superman Legacy coming out next year.
One final thing, in defense of the black Superman suit, that is comic accurate. During the whole Death of Superman storyline, Sups did come back rocking a black suit with a silver S symbol.
And it not really Snyder learning from the mistakes of the theatrical cut and more for him finishing his original vision. In fact, I don’t even think Snyder even seen the theatrical version since both his wife and producer Christopher Nolan warned him to steer clear of it. Which makes sense since he worked so hard and only 25% of his scenes were left intact.

About the Jumping thing at the beginning, Superman originally couldn’t fly.
Instead, he could jump really high.
Hence
He could leap tall buildings in a single bound
The old lady with Darkside is 'Granny Goodness;' she's originally voiced by Ed Asner in the cartoons.
When the superman comic was first published , he was not able to fly only jump. The flying did not come until the fleischer cartoons in the 40's. This is because having him fly was easier to animate.

I remember the MCU being known for recasting a few of their roles in some of their films (Bruce Banner and Rhodey) as there were some problems with the previous actors back then. But even I don't get why Warner Bros were refusing to recast their roles in the DCEU, with the exception of Amber Heard who everyone wanted gone from Aquaman 2 and even Jason Momoa said he hated working with her. But controversies aside, I also wished Eisenberg was also recast as Lex Luthor as that was mostly due to bad casting.
I enjoyed the hell out of The Snyder Cut. And after watching Josstice League, I appreciate The Snyder Cut even more than I did on my first viewing. For me, The Snyder Cut and James Gunn's The Suicide Squad are the best films in the DCEU. They are the films I go to whenever I feel like watching something from the DCEU.
Funny the 4 hours thing is what blew your mind despite seeing Lord of the Rings before. Return of the King alone is over 4 hours. Unless you got the initial release.

The reason we won't get answers or see the other characters in the future is because the DCEU is getting rebooted into the DCU by James Gunn (director of The Guardians Of The Galaxy trilogy, The Suicide Squad, the Peacemaker series, and the new co-CEO of DC studios).
Originally Superman only jumped great distances. Flight was added onto his skillset later. Weirdly enough both were explained by Earth having lower gravity, which makes jumping the more realistic power.
- Just to be clear had Zack stayed this still wouldn't had been the version of JL we got. Not only would a 4hr film been stripped to like 3 at most, the original was going to be a 2 parter. Apparently one of the plans was to have Batman die and have Sups son, Bruce Kent, take the mantle.
- 21:08 After Black Adam bombed (Flash, Shazam 2 and Aquaman 2 bombing also) they decided scrap the Snyder verse and reboot the DCEU. New Superman movie with a different actor coming next year.
- So should check out The Flash review next. It kinda ends the Snyder verse (Even though Aquaman 2 was the last released)
I think Death Battle brought this up in the "Thanos vs Darkseid" fight.
(With exceptions) Marvel is about humans becoming Godlike figures, and DC is about Godlike figures becoming more human.
That's why a lot of Death Battle mashups are Marvel vs DC.

I'll be honest, while I love the Snyder Cut, I haven't actually watched it in years.
I saw it on the movie channel when my dad and I were on vacation in Queensland in 2021.
I really liked it and bought the DVD early 2022... but haven't actually watched it since, for one specific reason: Ezra Miller.
Ezra's in so much of the movie and, after learning what a horrible person Ezra is, I just haven't been able to convince myself to rewatch it, knowing I'll have to put up with Ezra for so much of the movie.
At least Ezra's screen time in Suicide Squad last last than 30 seconds. I can easily tolerate that

Zack Snyder did had plans for Darkseid in later movies. There was alot build-up and showing a future timeline of Darkseid killing half the Justice League and brainwashing Superman to be his slave. Batman forms a resistance with Joker, Deathstroke, Flash, Cyborg, and Mera. Flash goes back in time to warn present Batman that "Lois is the key". However, that didn't come to be when he stepped down and he was only to be asked back to finish his cut of this movie.
When Joss Whedon took over, he removed everything about Darkseid and made his underling, Steppenwolf the main villain, while removing any references of his master. Back in the original release was out, we wondered why an obscured villain was the main baddie.
You asked if the box office tickets were the same, it wasn't. It premiered on HBO Max in early 2021 during Covid.
The guardians of the sky that were mention in a past battle set thousands of years ago are Green Lanterns. They were in the movie for like 2 seconds.
Also, you should do Flash next week. Because I don't know how you were unaware of Supergirl being a thing between being heavily promoted in that movie, having her own show on primetime TV, being on the front cover of Chef Boyardee' cans, to be on the front cover of those Injustice games.

You should react to Nostalgia critic’s review of the flash point movie, it’s the last DC cinematic Universe movie since the whole universe is getting rebooted, the only movies that will remain part of the new universe are Wonder Woman, Aqua man, and Shazam.
