I did! Just to clarify, the bolts do not need to go back in though? I am worried about water coming in through the holes
@@maxmaxed2887 There are plastic covers on the rail. I haven’t used the bolts, not sure they would fit? I guess if they fit it wouldn’t hurt?
Excellent Video!!! I was able to order covers and pack away my cross bars in a box for safe storing. I even referenced the torque settings on the storage box for future install. I greatly enjoy how thorough this video is. Much appreciated!

Interesting design... seems like all kinds of rain/snow/dirt would get past that plastic cover with no gasket.
thank you for making the video, very helpful. Where did you order the garnish covers from? I bought my prime and it only had the one plastic socket but no covers. Thanks for the part numbers. Just wondering if they came in a kit somewhere?
@@richd7468 The plastic covers were included when I purchased the vehicle (new from dealer). They were in a plastic bag that included the tools). If yours are missing you can probably get them from the dealer.
Does the cover have its own gasket? Worried about leak risk.

Ordinary 13mm nut.
Can I use this for a snowboard or do I have to remove it and I stall another type?
I’m sorry I don’t know the answer, hopefully someone else will have more knowledge about that.
