I think the more I learn about the Mason´s the more I am convinced that they are what we historically know as the Knights Templars. When the church disbanded them they decided to continue in another form. When I was travelling around central Portugal and seeing Templar symbolism, many of them were very similar to Freemason symbols. Just my thoughts
@Fox As Freemasonry's origins are all unknown, but are likely to have been well over 1000 years ago, it is very unlikely that that is true. There is no documentary evidence that we are connected to the Templars.
I think I agree with you. I live in a city that has tons of Masonic symbols on old buildings and to this day I always get this ominous feeling when I go around them. The knights Templar era fascinated me in high school and it would make perfect sense to hide in plain site as a “secret society” and recruit as many as possible.

No my friend, it is NOTHING like a religion, in any way shape for form. If you have Masonic brothers who are Jews, Christian's, Muslims and Hindus, then WHAT type of "religion" could it possibly be, not all "doctrines" of religion are compatible with each other, because a "religion" is a "way of life" to some very religious people such as Muslims. I’d like to join, but from what I gather from others is most Masons don’t care about any of the mysteries taught from older masons as Manly Hall and George W. Carey. Most seem to have joined for financial reasons and connections instead of the ancient mysteries and what would be considered the great work.
So does that apply to members of a religion? I don't kow any Masons who gave up their minds.
@@vaultvizion Not a Mason, but my father was a 32nd Degree Mason and while I never asked him that specific, I suspect that just as some members of any given religion are lax and belong to a church mostly for social reasons, there are those who are fervent belieing people. I would imagine that that holds true for Masons.
