Hi Jeff...I want to thank you so much for all your helpful videos and introducing me to Gorilla O`Clock. I had my step daughter contact them and set up our trip. We made a few changes along the way and they totally accommodated us in every way. June 18 2025 begins a lifelong dream! Thank you for steering us in the right direction!

@@Jeff_Hyer I saw your video on how to plan and it makes sense having someone who`s been there or is there that knows everything you need to know help you plan. We are not going until sometime next year but when we do decide I will definately contact you. Thank you!
@@Jeff_Hyer Hi Jeff . The check I paid for my passport has been cashed! YIPPEEE. I have made my list of "want to`s" and having my step daughter do the same. While deciding I have 1 question..I read when places in So. Africa do not need a travel visa. We are in the USA. Can you tell me where we do and dont? I don`t believe everything I read on the internet. Thank you!!
Hello Jeff. Thank you for all the hard work you have put into the videos. It is much appreciated. But I have not heard you mention the places my wife and I are going to next March 2025. We are going with a group called Amazing Journeys which a friend of ours went on and absolutely loved it. So we are following her recommendation. But we are scheduled to go to Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Johannesburg. Are there any insights you can bestow on us about those places I mentioned above at that time of year? Any advice or help would be so beneficial for really getting the most out of this amazing upcoming trip. You are so knowledgeable and we would appreciate your reply. Thank you. What we are not looking forward to is getting all the required or suggested vaccinations, especially for those areas. And those might be for yellow fever, rabies, hepatitis A and B, and malarial meds. Any thoughts on these? We also heard that one should not wear Blues or Blacks around the animals also? And as for shoes- how man different pairs should we bring if the may get really dirty- can we clean them off somehow? And lastly- where do you store the layers of clothes that you would need on the game drive on that vehicle. Thanks again.
Brilliant video, were going to Tanzania next week from the uk. Weve got U.S dollars for cash, but is it best to get shillings? If so where can you get local cash. Thanks !
Thank you for watching! To answer your question, there are several safari destinations that boast incredible elephant populations. Here are some of the most renowned: 1. Amboseli National Park, Kenya: Famous for its large herds of elephants, “big tusker” bulls, and Mount Kilimanjaro backdrop. 2. Chobe National Park, Botswana: Home to one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Africa, especially along the Chobe River. 3. Kruger National Park, South Africa: Offers excellent opportunities to see elephants roaming freely 4. Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe: Known for its scenic beauty and abundant wildlife, including elephants that can be seen along the Zambezi River. 5. Tarangire National Park, Tanzania: Renowned for its large elephant population, particularly during the dry season when they gather around the Tarangire River
Hi Jeff - Hope all is well. Do you have any recommendations for camera gear insurance while traveling on a safari? Basically insurance for drop and spills and theft/lost/stolen?
It’s not impossible, but generally not recommended, especially if you plan to travel during the high travel season when availability is limited. To ensure a higher quality experience and guarantee availability, I would look into options ahead of time.

Great video. What months and parks are best to see elephants?

Is it possible to just wing it once you reach your destination? Like go around the city and book a last minute safari?

@@Jeff_Hyer good to know. Thank you very much. New subscriber here!
Do you have a recommendation about what shots are needed if you will only be in Kenya?
There are no required vaccinations needed to enter Kenya 🇰🇪
Are you allowed to ride the zebras?
