    Just wondered if Shelley would also share a packing list for the girls. Doesn’t have to be a video just a list with specific items. Thanks!

    What did your duffel weigh when fully packed?

    great video! I'm wondering how reliable is it to find laundry machines in accommodations while on safari.

    I have an RFID wallet where I keep my yellow fever vaccine card, cash (local and foreign), credit cards, ID, Global Entry card, airline tickets and passport all in one place. Of course, some cash and credit cards are also separated in a different location.
    Don't wear black or blue outfits because it attracts the tse-tse flies. Definitely, earth tones such as green or brown or beige are the best.

    Thanks for this helpful video. Any idea what your duffel weighed when packed? I have a limit of 15 kg due to light air aircraft transfers.

    Do you mention anywhere how much your duffel bag and backpack weigh, when fully loaded?

    Hey Jeff ,
    I thought we had to avoid dark and colourful clothing.
    But some of your items are rather dark. Thank you

    Hello, this was a very helpful video since I'm going to Tanzania in few months. I have one question regarding photography since I'm also a photographer and this is my first time travelling to safari. I saw somewhere that you may need to have a media permit to photograph animals. Is that true or is that permit just for those people who go there to film movies and such? Did you ever apply for something similar to that? Thank you for the answer.

    What month are you traveling? I'm going in July Kenya & Tanzania, but only bringing one sweater.

      I traveled during the months of April and May. I'm glad I had a few sweater options while in Tanzania for early mornings!

    Do you recommend the 17 or 25 oz water bottle? I couldn't tell on the video which size you have.

    80 litre duffle as a “carry on” item. 😂. I’ll donate $20 to the charity of your choice if you flew economy and they let you on the plane with those two “carry ons”.

    I see your cash is in plastic bag. I thought the plastic bags are not allowed?

    • @Jeff_Hyer
      @Jeff_Hyer  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Good question! In countries like Rwanda, plastic bags are banned. I ignorantly brought a few plastic ziplock bags with me for packing purposes, I had no intent of disposing them and planned to keep them with me at all times. During my trip I never was penalized or flagged for having small plastic bags as part of my packing, but I’d for anyone planning to travel there I’d now suggest avoiding plastics if you can to any avoid potential issues.

      I do! It’s a great, tactile resource for studying wildlife - searching on your phone isn’t always reliable in remote locations where I tend to venture
