One other thing, I believe big block Chevy headers are close and can just weld an LS flange on them if you can find an up and fwd set to work

Hey Shawn, you’re probably in the know already, but there are a ton of opinions out there on blocking off the heater lines on an ls water pump. I put together a single turbo setup this fall and had some overheating issues that I attribute to a bad stat out of the box, but I also had those ports capped as well. When I swapped stats, I also looped the heater ports so can’t tell if both were issues, I just know I don’t have overheating issues now. I’ve never seen a cutaway of the pumps to know for sure how they circulate.

I've never done a dry sump so I'm paying attention. As far as the headers cracking, where do they crack? Around the flanges by the exhaust ports?

Good question, probably has to do with turning orange with back pressure from the turbo?

I was wondering because an old race car fabricators trick that nobody seems to do anymore is to weld the inside of the tubes to the flange but then braze the outside of the tubes to the flange to stop cracking.@@mountainsgarage

Good morning sir. I have a quick th400 question. When in drive trans is not shifting into 2nd at full throttle conditions. However when manually shifting thru the gears wot it shifts fine. I recently added throttle extension lever to my sniper which moved post for kickdown stud forward, I am using lokar kickdown switch, if kick down switch is too tight would this cause my symptoms. I have replace modulator and ensured the modulator valve is not stuck. Under normal conditions trans shifts fine
Just have this one issue. Trans shop said everything should be fine since manual shifts work that means everything is fine hydraulically. Rev limiter is se to 6200rpm I have also bumped rev limit up to 6400 to seebif that makes a difference.
