Monarch Butterfly Migration, Santa Cruz, California (Nature Observations)

What a beautiful experience - to watch the monarch butterflies huddle as they cling to the Eucalyptus trees' branches and then flutter about on a warm, sunny day as they winter in California during part of their migration.
The migration of monarch butterflies is an amazing study. Links below explain their unique life cycle. We spent two days walking the butterfly sanctuaries at Lighthouse Field and Natural Bridges State Beaches in Santa Cruz, California.
