“Be still, and know that I am God…” Psalm 46:10
“Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.” Job 37:14
God knew that our lives could be hectic and overwhelming at times and we would need to occasionally pause and listen; to refresh, recharge, reconnect. Getting out in nature rejuvenates both body and mind. Through nature, God speaks to everyone in a language that knows no barrier; a language of order, beauty, and harmony. Like an artist whose work is recognizable, God has placed his signature on everything he created. Through nature we can reconnect with God and be refreshed and recharged to return to our daily routines.

Park Avenue ~ Arches National Park (Easy Hikes in Utah)
✝️ _“Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. They will perish, but you remain forever; they will wear out like old clothing. You will change them like a garment and discard them. But you are always the same; you will live forever.”_ Psalm 102 verses 25-28, New Living Translation
Utah is a fascinating place to visit. Our main object for visiting Moab, Utah was to explore Arches National Park. One afternoon adventure included stopping at the Park Avenue Viewpoint and walking the 1 mile trail to the Courthouse Towers Parking lot (2 miles round-trip). It’s short and easy, but next time we'll start at Courthouse Towers and walk to Park Avenue. Hiking the trail this direction seems like the better choice -- get the uphill over with first!

What an amazing and gorgeous journey and destination. When we reached the open hillside and began climbing knobs, knolls, and rock slabs, the lyrics of the Gospel hymn “Heavenly Sunlight” echoed in our minds as we basked in the morning sunshine and marveled at the panoramic views. 🎶_"Walking in sunlight all of my journey, Over the mountains, through the deep vale; Jesus has said, I’ll never for...

Your video is absolutely mesmerizing! The landscapes are captured so beautifully. Thanks for sharing these amazing views! 👍
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
The scenery looks fabulous. God's creation is simply wonderful.
Great spot. Hiked there several times back in the 1980's. Too bad that cloud obscured your view, but it happens sometimes.
What a beautiful and unique scenery my friend! These shots are amazing!
Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad you enjoyed the views with us!
_Park Butte Lookout is breathtaking! Your video captured the beauty of the Pacific Northwest perfectly. It's inspiring to see that adventure can be found in the simplest of places. Thanks for sharing._
Dude. Great video man. Great vibe. Great sounds. Great scenery. 10/10
Looks like the perfect adventure. The scenery looks so beautiful out there!
It was indeed spectacular! Thanks for watching.
This area looks absolutely amazing my friend. Fantastic work 🥾🥾
Glad you enjoyed the scenery. Thanks for watching!
Great video, thanks for the elevation gains and drops explanations. Kind of an unusual topology for a hike around here up and down pretty symmetrically.
Nice video. 👍
Thank you for a beautiful and relaxing informative video.
O, people! Worship your Lord, Who created you, and those before you, so that you may attain piety (21) He who made the earth a habitat for you, and the sky a structure, and sends water down from the sky, with which He produces fruits for your sustenance. So do not set up rivals to Allah, knowingly. Qur’an 2:22
Greetings from Venezuela, here supporting your channel with likes 👍 and subscription ✌. I also do hiking and I published them on my channel.. A hug 🤗
Only 17 switchbacks?? It felt like 50 of them. I hiked Church Mountain twice in my 20’s, that’s was 50 years ago. I hope to do it again next time I’m in Watcom County again.
Wishing you good health and enjoyable trips, greetings from Vietnam
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement.
You kids need a drone, it'll follow you, less stops, although your footage is beautiful😊
Amazing people are finally starting to figure out this beautiful place is merely pockets of survival of Majestic building ruins. There's so much more "megalithic wall" and arched brick tunnel above and below the trails it could really frighten those who first realize what they're looking at. I plan on hiking it more next weekend😊😊
Beautiful colors!
This is very helpful, I wasn’t sure about taking our toddler thank you!
Went there the other day and lost the trail 900 feet from the lake in a boulder field 😢
We did get off trail a few times by following some misplaced flagging. It was a challenge to stay on trail in places. But coming back was much easier, only missed one turn! The lowest lake is an interesting area we will probably return to some time.
Thanks, wonderful.
Glad you enjoyed the scenery. Thanks for watching.
beautiful hike, on my list
loved the video!
Wow, so stunning! I live out in New Jersey, so we do not have the sort of landscapes you have in Washington. I enjoyed living vicariously through you, even for a few minutes. Thank you for sharing.
So glad you enjoyed the scenery. Some of my family lived in NJ -- they shared some beautiful photos of NJ with us. My favorites were the cheery blossoms and beaches.
What type of camera do you have please?
Thanks for your comment. I alternate between my phone and a small Sony point-and-shoot camera, nothing fancy or expensive.
Beautiful hike! Where is this?
Thank you for your comment. I did not tag or mention the exact location because I do not want this location to show up in any searches. I do name the location if the area we visit is in guide books or is an established location with maintained trailheads, adequate parking, outhouses, or other features that accommodate more people. With a little sleuthing, a viewer will be able to identify this location from the land features.
@Romans1verse20 I understand completely. As a young teen in the 60's, I've hiked beautiful trails in the Sierras and many are ruined by overuse. May I ask the name of the book(s) please.
The scripture is perfect and so is God's creation❤️
Ermygersh!!! We were totally there at the same time! (6th - 8th tho…) I have to admit I’m still kind of emotional. We had so much fun and peace there. Anyways, for next time: there is a trail behind the golden west visitor center. It’s called the “imus” loop. If you go up to the first bridge, there is a little path that goes back into the vegetation and you can see the very peaceful imus falls. Then, if you go all the way up to the end of the road, you can see the glorious car wash falls! (That being said tho, you do have to make a bit of a sketchy step over a giant gouge that got pounded into the rock by a flash flood to get there.) in my opinion? Best place to cool off in some water. Just standing under those falls. The water isn’t frigid and the falls themselves are just beautiful. Thank you for sharing this video. I really really miss that place already.
Thanks for the tips, we'll definitely add these to our itinerary for next time.
😮😮😅😅
This is very beautiful, what time of year was this hike? I am looking at going this weekend but am worried about snow. edit: I just saw in the beginning of your video it says late july, i'll save this for my mid summer trips :)
I go here all the time! So lovely to see all the spots I recognize captured in film. Beautiful more "hidden" spot.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Like 👍
Glad you enjoyed the scenery. Thanks for watching!
Thank you. I love looking at butterflies because it makes my soul smile.

I helped as volunteer on Mountains to Sound & DNR workparty on this trail. June 22, 2024 is next workparty.
How cool! Thanks for your time and work. The trails in the Teanaway are very unique and fun to explore.
I got lost on this trail when I came to a bunch of dirt roads wasn’t sure which way to go should’ve downloaded the AllTrails map
Yes, a map is very helpful in this area. There are so many trails and roads to explore. Thanks for watching.
GAIA GPS is free app. Great topo.

Very nice little loop. I need to check this one out! Thanks.
So this is not the top of Black Mountain? Rather a knob? I see on topographic maps that Black Mountain is apparently about 4400 feet above sea level. I wonder if there’s a way to get up to that
Correct, this was only part way up Black Mountain. We could see the top (or at least the false summit). Logging roads appeared to continue up the hillside and it looked like it would be many more miles to reach the actual summit. There is a geocache near the top with maps providing details on how to reach the summit (look up "Black Mountain Traditional Geocache GC52JC8"). It looks like it is about 15 miles round-trip.
Very nice video. Thank you for sharing. 👍
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
Beautiful hike.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching.
