Looks nice but I usually prefer to use my Denon prime go never know with Bluetooth or WiFi and not comfortable with playing off my iPad and take my RCF evox 12 to give the beautiful sound. For quick and easy setup & break down perfect. ☝🏽❤️🙏🏽
Input 2 is also a Hi-Z input so you could plug a unbalanced input into it without a DI box like a guitar or bass. That’s a pretty standard feature on most powered speakers nowadays but thought I’d mention.
EV 8 is an amazing speaker. But for the price, I like the Mackie Thump Go. They sound really nice also. Not as nice as the EV8, but sound nice. You can almost get 2 for the price of 1 EV 8. I do like the power outlet on the EV8. But I use a Jackery to run the wireless mic system.
Thanks for the great content as always. With the Sennheiser EW-DX being so expensive ($2k+) I am looking at the Audio-Technica System 10 Pro Digital Wireless Digital Lavalier/Handheld Combo (ATW-1312/L) which is a dual channel receiver set up (also half-rack footprint) but at half the cost. Wondering if you've had any experience with the Audio-Technica System?
Never bought anything AT. Always been EV, Shure and Sennheiser. Might be good though. Have you asked Ben@nlfxpro.com? He is the man when it comes to mics.
Hey Joe, did you issues getting the bag to close with the shelf attached? I’ve seen a few other videos mentioning that they could not close the bag with the shelf installed.
OK, so I ordered a special cable from the site that you recommended… I hooked it up to my sure microphone receiver, direct up to the Evers, but I’m not getting sound
Not if you chain two using the mix out and use both inputs. But tbh I’ve setup Zoom Recorders on top of these for ceremonies and the sound is still captured great.
The power on the everse is only 500 ma, the ew-dx has I believe a 750 ma input It works 98% of the time but technically the receiver requires more power than the speaker has
Bro what? this complicated too.. lol .. Let me help... 1 .One JBL mk 2 with the roll bag 2. One sanheser mic with the link receiver for officiant & Put it on a mic stand & That's it! Completely Wireless & only one thing to lug around. Bluetooth the music from your phone and call it a day.
@@DJJoeBunnfalse. What I just said has absolutely zero wires to it and no extra connections. The receiver I'm talking about for the mic is the size of your finger with no extra wires. And the JBL MK2 doesn't need an extra pole to hold the speaker up so I highly disagree. I have an incredible amount of respect for you but this setup that you've put on video is still way more complicated than what I proposed. 🙏

the best thing about this is the controlling the mixer from the EV app
Should have mentioned that for sure. Duh.
??
Ev8 is great just hard to see the gain screen when the speaker is too high or too bright from the sun.
Ha! You finally did it. You got the EW-DX. Enjoy! I’ve been in love with this setup all year.
Now you need the gator tote 8 bag and it will hold the speaker with the microphone receiver on top.

everse is the best thing on the planet. got mine a while back and i use it to practice. even did a small wedding reception with it.
Very best choice for weddings in 2023/2024 love mine
*laughs in Comica*
This has been our ceremony system all year. Cake.
@joe Not sure if it was mentioned in the video but I would love to know the white speaker stand brand and where you got it from.
Where did you get the white poles? I have looked and looked. I will gladly click on your affiliate link!
I think they are ProX. Try NLFX.
Hey brother! Love the Everse 8 and love your channel
I use a Gator bag with the Everse fits everything pretty well 😁
Share that link!
I use the Gator bag as well. Kits speaker with mic receiver attached.
Share that link!
I wish they had a white mic receiver to match

Yeah but the mackie has no low end. It sound hollow
How about when you got a groom that wants a lapel too?
Most weddings in my area require 2 lapels
You are incorrect about the included jumper power cord only working for EV mics. It worked for my shure QLXD have used it many events just a heads up.
correct. We use the same cord to power up our QLXD mic as well.
Which exact cord is that? I need to order one.

Cool. Thanks for the reply. I will ask him now. BTW great job with Crate Hackers. It has given me so much time back. @@DJJoeBunn
Don’t trust 2.4 mics. I have. I use for short distances.
oh no! Well, I plan on using for just ceremonies and generally we are close to the officiants...It just may work. @@Grapevine_DJ
@@DJJoeBunnI talked to Ben and he said that’s his goto now for wireless speakers. I almost bought a set but have enough options I couldn’t justify it.
What mic was used with the Everse I liked how compact the set up was.
Sennheiser EW-DX
Hey Joe, did you issues getting the bag to close with the shelf attached? I’ve seen a few other videos mentioning that they could not close the bag with the shelf installed.
It's tight. You can't close it with the mic on top.
OK, so I ordered a special cable from the site that you recommended… I hooked it up to my sure microphone receiver, direct up to the Evers, but I’m not getting sound
That cable is only for power, not sound. You need an XLR.
@@DJJoeBunn I know that bro lol I haven’t hooked up to XLR no sound
Does this setup have an output for the video/camera guy to take a recording?
Great question. Yes, XLR
Not if you chain two using the mix out and use both inputs. But tbh I’ve setup Zoom Recorders on top of these for ceremonies and the sound is still captured great.
Hey Joe, what kind of speaker stand do you use with it? Looking for something lighter and more compact than what I use now
Lately been using a white ProX
Would love to know which stands are being used in the video
I can't recall the brand. I think the white ones are ProX

As someone that has used this for 2 years and 50 plus weddings, it works flawlessly.
Joe, how are you ringing out the system for feedback though?
It doesn't feed back.
hey Joe you've forgot the iPad stand link

how would you run them in stereo ?
Not sure I get what you mean.
Just sucks bout the price tho 😅
@DJJoeBunn would you mind sharing the iPad holder?

could you adapt a regular O-Clamp to they iPad holder?
anything's possible@@tayloredentertainmentllc

Yes there are a ton of features in the mixer. They all work great. Check the manual for specifics

I would never rely on Bluetooth for playback, especially for a Ceremony.
yep , ceremony is my least favorite part of weddings as well.
