    This is the best content I've seen on the topic of air rolling. So many people are just like "oh yeah air rolling helps you get the touch you want you should learn it" or "don't try to air roll so much its useless". You're actually teaching why and how you would do different air rolling techniques and when you'd want to do it. Definitely earned a sub from me.

    Well explained. I think an important point often missed is that air roll left got rid of that ‘heavy’ feeling. It can be hard to adjust and cancel out your momentum turning to the right if you want to correct yourself and turn to the left. Air roll left will used that momentum in the spin to quickly adjust your position of the nose of your car. It improved my car control and the difference is night and day!

    This is the best information I've heard out of many videos not only on air rolling but air dribbling included. A thing that I tell myself is that failure is getting my closer to success and I wish that everyone would think that mindset too.

    Finally, a description that really hits home with me. I've noticed that no one likes to explain exactly why air rolling is or isn't good, they don't include how it can mess you up, and generally they say to use one air roll or the other and not both. I find both helps me a lot. It's actually more intuitive to me. Thanks for the great video. I'll definitely practice this pack a lot.

    i have around 150 hours in rocket league, im currently c2/c3, my advice is: start using air roll, always, even if you don't understand what you're doing, your muscle memory will eventually grasp each minimal movement of the analog stick, which will enable you to air roll in the direction you want. Best practicing for this is going from one net to the other trying to air roll in the direction you want to. Watching pro gameplays also makes you understand when to use it and how to use it. Also, try learning flip resets, they need your car movement to be perfect for it to land, so you have to get good at car movement in order to get them.

      @@ryancrules623 I know it sounds cocky, but i'm naturally good at games, i don't need much time to grasp the mechanics well, i've been playing games since i was 5 years old, so i guess it's the price to pay for spending so much time on them xD. (Btw 100? are probably just practice mode, and then 150 of gameplay)

    • @ryancrules623
      @ryancrules623 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Nix-wf3pv There's stats on ranking in rocket league regarding hours and you wouldn't just be a minority, but a large outlier and probably the fastest c3 in history by far so I'm skeptical to believe that you hit it in 150 hours.

    • @Nix-wf3pv
      @Nix-wf3pv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ryancrules623 i have had 3 accounts: first one on PlayStation (Plat 3, 35 hours); second one i started playing on pc (ID is Triggered Player, i peaked c1 i think, 80 hours); third and currently is c2 (i would rank myself as c2, c3 was when i tryharded and put myself into it), 25 hours. Now, i assure you i have training hours as well, but i don't know if the stats tracker includes them in the total hours. So yeah, around 150 gameplay + i guess around 100(throwing a big number to make it look fair i guess?) in practice?? Not sure. Btw i watch A LOT of pro gameplay as well, so i guess i get a lot from it as if it were personal gameplay and knowledge. I don't get how you get the ball so much height or distance off that first touch. I can air dribble off walls for the most part, but off the ground the ball just doesn't get enough distance off my first hit so I have to perfectly air dribble right away just to keep it off the floor. I must be hitting it wrong every single time.
    I can do it fine without air roll. I get it high enough to where i can control an air dribble, but when I air roll I can't get a good bounce, but also my car ends up going in a different direction to the ball. I know I've only been playing for like 2 weeks now but I'm pretty solid on all the mechanics up until air dribbles. I can beat dribble courses and ring maps pretty quickly. Air dribbling on the other hand is just something else...

      Ideally you want to be good with left and right airroll. But of course a lot of pro players only use 1, so it is definitely possible. Me personally, I try to practice both left and right airroll off the wall as it gives me more options. In the last shot of the video, you see me do a flip reset with left airroll and a musty double tap with right airroll for example.
