This 'car' is on another level, ford, yo have seriously outdone yourself, amazing looks, amazing sounds, incredible speed, and above all, it's a ford, a fast ford, who doesn't like a fast ford
Accidentally found this road when driving to flamingo land what an experience it was we were only in a vw touran r line but we still loved it there was sheep all over the road when i drove it though had to keep stopping for them....
I took delivery a couple of weeks ago of my Focus RS. On my doorstep in Beachlands, New Zealand there are plenty of twisty undulating 'B' roads (but not as epic as Blakey Ridge) and I'm having a ball. This car is great. But I nearly cancelled my order at the 11th hour having read the more recent reviews - not the raft of glowing reviews immediately following the car's launch. In hindsight I now realise that many reviewers of late have been compelled to sidestep the superlatives this car rightly deserves and instead amplify whatever imperfections they could detect. Accordingly they warned of a too-high seat, uncomfortable ride, wide turning circle, steering too highly geared. One reviewer even implied that the car suffers from bump-steer. I'm in my late sixties. I enjoy my creature comforts yet I enjoy a car that panders to the yoof in me. The Focus RS is perfect for that. I can always move to a Jaguar XE when I get older.
Glad you're enjoying it Pete. If you feel so inclined share some pictures in the Ford Photo Community of your RS on those twisty B roads. bit.ly/PhotoCommunity
Great to hear mate, Im awaiting arrival in Australia, on a side note did you bother with paint protection, trying to decide if its worth it or just get it professionally polished 1-2 times a year. Happy RS driving mate
This is on my doorstep, if you are making the journey I URGE you to do the Helmsley loop which starts in Guisborough, A171 turn right onto Smeathhorns road, Right at Castleton, Past The Lion Inn, the B1257 and A173 Past Roseberry topping. he isn't bulling this us the road isn't ideal for low cars, its a full blown hoon road with jumps, bumps and hidden crests. but the B1257 is incredible.
Wonder if the engine on this car lasted more than 10000miles without going sick and having a new one like many others of the early build. Great roads though Steve.
I love those open landscapes. Glorious scenery here.
That is a beautiful stretch of road and beaut scenery to match.

I owned a 2010 U.S. version of this; that car held it's own; what a nice drive. One of Ford's best.

Thanks for the Mk3 FoRS, from America, w/love!
Brilliant video guys. More of this please Ford!
given the food and drink in the UK I give it a five and for the car........ a 10!!
I live in Whitby and my dad has the Mk3 RS and let me say this is a very good road, easily reaching 100 mph or some parts.
you mean.... 60mph ? 🤣😉🤫

Have you done the road that follows the Esk rail line between Goathland and Whitby? That is underrated.
