You just missed us - we were on that site Sep20-25 (5 nights) where we listened to the moose rut during the mornings and evenings. Magical. We didn’t realize the road led to that flowing creek. Thanks for that tip for the next time. We had day/night calm waters and fog like you did for 6 days. Magical 🌲🫎🔥🚣🏕️ thanks for taking us along on memory lane.
I will have to consider extending our stay next year, the morning and the evening where so beautiful. I was also hoping to see or hear a moose, but we got wolves instead, still pretty cool. Hopefully, next time, we will cross paths. Thank you for watching.
It's always refreshing to see a familiar route from a new perspective. The portage between Rock and Louisa is stunning in the fall, although a bit shorter would be nice 😆. I also noticed that the campsite appears much cleaner now, thanks to the park rangers, I suppose. A couple of days is not sufficient to fully appreciate all that the lake has to offer. Well captured! ✌
Lake Louisa is a stunning lake and will definitely be returning. The portage is long but not difficult. We did one this year that was a little shorter but almost complete mud the whole way. It was a good challenge. As for the campsite, it was very nice and hopefully it stays that way, the park ranger did a good job.
Hello, The canoe is a Keewaydin made by Swift Canoe, the length is 17', weighs about 45lbs and cost about $6000.00. The one in this video is a rental, however, i just bought one a few weeks ago. I'm thinking about doing a video on the steps I took to purchase my canoe. Thanks
Great investment to some new gear to cut some of the weight. Nice fall trip!
Day trip into stringer lake..great brookie fishing..
Stringer Lk is a no fishing lake!

you will not be disappointed in this route.
Beautiful Autumn colours & a nice canoe trip. Lovely to see all the beauty out there, cheers
Algonquin Park always amazes me, especially the fall. Thank you for your comment.

Also, I hate it when I request a vacant camping spot, and the office says it's taken, only to get up next morning, and no one ever moved in. 😩
