I'm so jealous that you got to see it! A few months back, I spent 7 days in Iceland, and it was too cloudy every night to see it... my only goal was to see it!
@JoeRobinetBushcraft I have been watching you for about two years now. It is cool and funny to see that you are checking out these guys perspective on that area since you have already been there many times.
You are so right! I've stayed at Killarney Lodge several times, and camped at several locations in the Park. Rock Lake, Mew Lake are my two favorites. The trails are awesome, and there's nothing like that soft water up there...🥰❤!!
This is clearly the best site on TH-cam if you like hiking and camping. Your video editing is on a professional level. This video, for example, could air on Discovery or Travel Channel with NO ADDITIONAL EDITING. That is just how good this is.
omg so many amazing things to say hahaha first of all, ty for always sharing the deeper moments and evening conversations.. yall are so wise and very spot on. second, what an amazing segment to thank the patrons haha and in comparison to the flavors haha that was priceless. well done and I see what you did there :)
HUGE bump in production value with this video. The evolution and growth of your talents is most evident with this video. Don't lose this momentum. From the great musical updates to the addition of aerial shots using Robby's drone. All of it really adds to he overall impeccable quality of the viewing experience. Thank you for all that you guys contribute. Keep the drive alive!
I watch this over wand over !!!! Just beautiful, I especially love when y’all see the northern lights, and at the end , sitting around the campfire eating stew , y’all are all sunburned, and look so good and healthy and genuinely HAPPY , and I love this video ! Love to hear Thomas whistle, and I wish he’d sing , oh POLLY again something 🍒🌺🍒💜💜😎🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄😎💜🍒🌺
24:50-25:48 Absolutely magical, breathtaking... Amazing work. I've spent many a night in Algonquin and have yet to see the Northern lights, consider yourselves blessed!
Thank you so much! We were definitely super thankful that we got to see the northern lights. It was funny too, because we were hoping to get to camp before dark, but it ended up working out for us really well, haha. Cheers, and thanks for watching! -Andrew
Scrambled O Hey scrambled Ooo don’t be bad mouthing America sucka!!! Lol!! Just yoking buddy I’m holding my breath because your big comeback is eminent. 🎙💨You needed the newlyweds wifey time, cat time, building time, Ohana time etc, etc!!!! ML&ALOHA your boy Kekoa (Just rousing you Homeboy style from the hood)✨🏚🏘🌖✨
Guys please keep these vids coming, beautiful work chaps! You need to be on mainstream tv with your own show. We love you in england and need more of you! Fantastic family viewing ✌🏻️✌🏻️
We'll definitely keep them coming :) Thank you so much for the high compliments, and so glad you like it! Hopefully we can travel to England some day and film an episode there! Cheers! -Andrew
As a fellow canoe tripper and backpacker, I enjoy the itineraries of your videos, the information and philosophical banter, the production quality of your videos, the gear lists, and commitment to adventuring. I share your videos with others, especially my adult kids, as tinder to spark a desire to get outdoors. As we say in Pittsburgh, "Yinz guys are awesome!"
I love this episode because it’s so different! It’s such a beautiful thing you guys do, sharing your journeys with us and putting into such a great work of art. Thank you!!!!
I thoroughly enjoy the lovely sights obviously, especially the beautiful northern lights....But those little philosophical moments where you think about the bigger picture really enrich the entire experience🌌🌠.
I spent a week canoeing in Algonquin back in the early 1970s. I was around your ages then. I enjoyed the sights and sounds of your Utube video. My memories are of the aurora borealis and the portage of canoes and gear . I went in August and I guess the Northern Lights were farther south than year for some reason. God Bless you.
😮 That night trip across the lake was absolutely glorious, I'm with Bryan absolutely incredible. Oh my gosh shouldn't absolute joy. I love the stars and the northern lights are number At the top of my bucket list oh my gosh that was wonderful. Blessings!
Hey everyone, there's currently a glitch that makes the video only 46 minutes for some people. Not sure what's going on but we're looking into it. Thanks!
We finally watched it and noticed it seemed short. Then in the fast forward view we could see there was more but it wouldn't let us watch it. It's good so far.
Can you try it on a computer? It seems to only affect mobile and playstations and apple tv's and the like. We're going to contact TH-cam and see what's up.
Even though you have a lot more videos since this was released, this is the one rewatch the most. It is the water, location and all four of you are in the video that makes it entertaining.
This video is so good, it could be episode #1 of a TV series. I wish you guys would get the attention of the right person who can make that happen. The videography and music selection is superb. The camaraderie between you is heartwarming - everyone wishes they could have close friends like that. And the subtle naivety makes one feel like you are a part of the group, experiencing it for the first time right along with you. How lucky you were to see the northern lights, but unlucky (maybe) for not running into the numerous bears the habitat the area. You embarked on a route I know well, which made your journey even more enjoyable. Best luck guys.
Loved this one! I’ve seen Bushcraft-type video guys camp and fish here and it I always great! But I can’t explain how much I enjoyed you 4 guys paddling around and camping and lighting fires with ferro-rods and enjoying being there in Algonquin Park. Just fantastic!!
The best part of Canada is that if you drive a couple of hours its like a whole new world, absolute different scenery, different trees, different lakes, different everything. I am so lucky to live in the #1 country in the world 🌲🌿🌳🌱
Sick video, one of my favourite places on Earth. The amount of sunny days I spent with buddies just screwing around on Burnt Island... Can't wait to go back. There's 1 campsite on that lake that beats all, and nobody even knows its a campsite. I'll probably vlog it soon.
Thank you so much for the kind words! Haha yeah, a lot of the credit really goes to nature. We got really lucky with the northern lights and that foggy morning. Cheers! -Andrew
please make dvds of all these trips!! i WILL buy!! the production value, especially when talking technology alone, is way above that of Dick Proenneke's legend of a self documented adventures... and we all love those!
Thanks guys I really needed this tonight this episode I've been going through a lot of mental issues of not being able to freely go camping and be out underneath the Stars so I really appreciate you showing scenes of the stars and the Milky Way and the light show and green is my favorite color thank you again from Ontario East part of it
The last time I paddles these lakes it was raining so hard I could barely see. Even still, it was one of my favourite trips. Canoe, Joe, and Burnt Island are such nice lakes as they are well travelled and maintained
Perfect weather, perfect timing with catching the northern lights and perfect scenery in this park. All in all, best one I've seen yet from ya'all. Makes me dream that I could adventure like this one day! ❤️
this was a great episode! I love it when you all take a break from the traditional backpacking vids. I love those, too, but I'm glad you're keeping it fresh!
Its also nice for us to take a break from the traditional backpacking trips :) This trip was exceptionally enjoyable too! I always love a good canoeing trip. It also allows us to be a little more extravagant with food choices since we don't have to carry our packs. ~Bry
Hope you enjoyed it! Haha, for a second I thought you meant you were at Algonquin to watch your friend's band play a gig - which is funny, because I think we heard a concert or something on our last night there.
Man! i loved this video. I am taking my 4 year old daughter camping in a few weeks! Taking it easy on her first time and staying in tea lake campground this year, just off of canoe lake but I hope in the near future we can back-country in Algonquin. I am so fortunate to live only 2 hours away in Barrie, ON from the most amazing park in the world. If you ever come to Algonquin again, stop by.... maybe I'll come along! Thanks boys!
Thank you! Man, I'm rewatching it now, and we got super lucky with how so many cool things happened. Like the aurora borealis, that incredible fog. It was an amazing trip. -Robby
It's winter up here in Canada now, and watching this video brought me back to the summer/fall. Thank you so much. This is by far the best one you guys have done. Every part from the cinematography, music, lighting, script, editing was perfect. My favorite shot was the one at 52:42 - just beautiful. Thanks for the video. You guys are my escape into the adventure in the middle of city life. Let me know when you guys go to Alberta, Canada.
So glad you enjoyed the video. I'm curious how the weather is up there now. It's been unseasonably warm down in Ohio, but I imagine it's a bit chillier up north, haha. Yeah, that foggy morning was so surreal. We really have to give a lot of credit to nature with this episode, haha. Hopefully we can get out to Alberta soon, that would be great! -Andrew
Beautifully done! We loved it! Fully appreciate all the hard work and effort that went into the filming and editing - well worth the early access. The shot at 52:11 is absolutely phenomenal, and I think it’s one of the most beautiful Algonquin shots I’ve ever seen. You guys did a stellar job of capturing the essence, and Robby’s sentiment at 45:40 really resinated… can’t tell you how many times we’ve thought the world be a more peaceful, kinder place if everyone could experience it once in their lives. We’re posting the first in a series of videos along the exact same route and up into Big Trout later this week… we’d love to collab with you guys at some point in the future! :)
Chris, thank you!! Yeah, that shot at 52:11 was just unbelievable. We can't even take credit for it, all we had to do was point the camera at it and nature did the rest haha. Would love to collaborate with you at some point! We'll stay in touch and eventually find some time we can all get together and make some great videos. And I haven't gotten a chance to check out your trip yet, but I am looking forward to carving some time out to watch them. Oh, and thank you so much for becoming a patron! Didn't realize you had joined up, thanks so much :) -Robby
AdventureArchives Awesome!! We actually just posted Day 1 of our new Algonquin Park canoe series today, filmed in 4K along the same route you guys took - you'll see some familiar sights :)
Thank you for your wonderful and funny videos you upload. Me and my girlfriend Yvonne is now sitting in a snowy Sweden and enjoying your summer movies :) Appreciate your wise words about humanity and how important it is to preserve and appreciate our land and natural :) Toni / Yvonne
Guys....Stunning! I love what Thomas says about being in Canada lol. 25 minutes in, I legit had goosebumps. I'm so glad you guys have great equipment to even be able to catch a glimpse of that on camera - Thank you! I hope to see more episodes of my beautiful country
Everything looked totally gorgeous. Camera shots were beautiful and the water was stunning. You guys go on amazing adventures and they never disappoint me. You guys are amazing and can't wait for the next video!
BRILLIANT!!! Love the footage. Thank you so much for posting!!! I stumbled upon this video by accident looking for new ways to enjoy my city/province (Toronto, Ontario) via kayak. I've been to Algonquin Park more times than I can remember but your video made it all feel new to me. Thank you so much. I can't wait to see more. Keep more videos coming (Canada if possible) please and thank you.
Thank you so much!! So glad you enjoy them, and thank you for watching :) We'll definitely keep having adventures, and we'll do our best to stay safe! -Andrew
Glad I finally got to watch the rest of this one, haha. I was up in Algonquin last summer for a canoe trip too, spent about a week up there. Good to see you guys all had a fun time!!
We really lucked out with this episode - so many amazing things that nature threw at us. So glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks so, so much for watching! -Andrew
This reminds me of our trips out of Achray, in the northern section. We would canoe Grand Lake, Stratton Lake, High Falls Lake, Ooze Lake, to Opalescent Lake. We would come back via St Andrews which have sandy beaches on one side and cliffs on the eastern side. If you plan it right, come through there on a full moon, and the wolves on the cliffs would be howling! Thanks for the video and the memories.
Sounds like an unbelievable time! I'm definitely going to have to head back there sometime and see if I can hear wolves. Thank you so much for watching! -Andrew
ON THE WAY BACK YOU COULD SEE EVERYTHING YOU MISSED IN THE NIGHT TIME! !AWESOME SCENERY! THE NIGHT TIME SKY WAS GORGEOUS & THE LOONS WERE BEAUTIFUL! I'M GOING TO HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO USE NATURAL MEANS TO START A CAMPFIRE TO THE NEXT TIME I GET A CHANCE TO GET AWAY! HOPEFULLY I CAN DO A GOOD AS YOU? THANK YOU AGAIN BE SAFE! HAVE FUN! GOD BLESS YOU'LL ALWAYS! ENJOYED VERY MUCH!
It's 3rd time I'm watching algonquin video.each time im enjoying it more and more.how could Someone catch this much beauty...? canoeing wasn't much interested to me, but now I'm added it to my bucket list. Now I'm suggesting my friends at least watch one video of yours, cause that will lead them to your whole episodes. The messages & music were remarkable. After watching your videos one can't simply sit in 4 concrete walls , calling it's home. Thank you guys for inspiring us .waiting for more💓💓👍
Thank you so, so much for your kind words! And thank you for sharing ;) Canoeing is definitely something worth trying - it's such a relaxing experience. So glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching! -Andrew
Hey! I just saw your film. Great. Wonderful! Not only did I enjoyed the scenery but also the dialogues and final reflections you all held. You encouraged me to do something like this in my Home Nicaragua, where we have dozens o lakes & lagoons. Congrats!
One of the things I love about the beginning of your video adventures is seeing that green Subaru! I work at the Subaru plant in Indiana. We travel in a Crosstrek, great adventure cars.
Great footage. Last morning with that magical fog must have been challenging but beautiful filming. Also really liked the patron dinner session. Loved the summary narration as always, but this time, yes it is life.
It was such an awesome morning. We had planned on getting up early, but we didn't expect to see something so amazing. It actually wasn't all that bad to navigate, either. Glad you liked the shout outs and narration, and thanks so much for watching! -Andrew
AdventureArchives I've watched them all! They've helped jump start my entire year of travelling and camping! I even kayaked Mammoth for 3 days shortly after that video, and saw my first bald eagle in the wild! I appreciate these videos! /Hello from Cincinnati and the Zoo!
Looks like you boys had fun!
super jealous of the northern lights sighting :)
JoeRobinetBushcraft man it was sooo lucky! Literally only lasted for like five minutes after we first spotted it. Crazy that we got that lucky!
I'm so jealous that you got to see it! A few months back, I spent 7 days in Iceland, and it was too cloudy every night to see it... my only goal was to see it!
That's how it was when I went to Alaska as a kid. So glad i finally got to see it. I'm sure you will soon, too! -Andrew
@JoeRobinetBushcraft I have been watching you for about two years now. It is cool and funny to see that you are checking out these guys perspective on that area since you have already been there many times.
Haha funny seeing you here! Just got finished with one of your videos!
it s this kind of contents that makes youtube worth existing.
If You're ever in Ontario, Killarney is another nice park, very unique scenery!
You are so right! I've stayed at Killarney Lodge several times, and camped at several locations in the Park. Rock Lake, Mew Lake are my two favorites. The trails are awesome, and there's nothing like that soft water up there...🥰❤!!
I've watched 3 episodes in 2 days. And while my leg hasn't healed yet, my spirit has. Thank you.
That literally made me emotional and brought tears to my eyes……when all of the sudden you were gifted to see the Northern Lights!!!!!
I’ve camped in Algonquin 10+ times and have never seen the Northern Lights. You guys are super lucky!

This video beats anything I would've watched on tv or Netflix. Thanks guys, you've gained a subscriber!
I have been on those lakes and creeks many times. Never gets old
I spent a week canoeing in Algonquin back in the early 1970s. I was around your ages then. I enjoyed the sights and sounds of your Utube video. My memories are of the aurora borealis and the portage of canoes and gear . I went in August and I guess the Northern Lights were farther south than year for some reason. God Bless you.
Our family used to live in this area 10 years ago. This is awesome content! Enjoy you guys so much.

AdventureArchives yes i cant watch the whole ep. Can you please re upload the vídeo?
Can you try it on a computer? It seems to only affect mobile and playstations and apple tv's and the like. We're going to contact TH-cam and see what's up.
Robby Huang my laptop, Sony bluray and iPhone all show just 46 minutes. On the bluray in fast forward I can see there is more but it won't play.
Even though you have a lot more videos since this was released, this is the one rewatch the most. It is the water, location and all four of you are in the video that makes it entertaining.
You guys will remember this little trip for a long time.👍🇨🇦 Cheers guys thanks.
Reviewing this piece of art at the third time... One of the best your archives, guys. Astonishingly peaceful enjoyment.

:D Thank you so much!! We'll definitely keep it up :) Cheers!
-Andrew
Wonderful shots and video, never stop to make this adventures!
Thanks so much! We'll definitely keep it up :) Cheers! -Andrew

+Slone's Wilderness Expeditions lol, that good ole subaru
I love the nerd references alongside the hiking/canoeing. I feel like we are kindred spirits in that way!
-Andrew
Another fantastic video.
+Rabid Squirrel thank you very much for watching :)
AdventureArchives I've watched them all! They've helped jump start my entire year of travelling and camping! I even kayaked Mammoth for 3 days shortly after that video, and saw my first bald eagle in the wild! I appreciate these videos! /Hello from Cincinnati and the Zoo!
Great video! So neat to see Algonquin through the eyes of an experienced but first-time visitor. Northern Lights too!
