I live in Michigan and ride all year, lots of snow pack roads, and real gravel roads, freeze thaw so pot holes, freshly layed down big rocks/gravel, fresh loose graded gravel, in winter the tire you missed in your line up is the Specialized Sawtooth, it grips snow packed roads like its made from Octopi,, I mosty ride Mountain bike in warmer weather, so I run the Sawtooth 700x42 year round, on pavement, gravel, dirt, I've even had it on the Mountain bike trails, I put over 1,000 miles on it every winter, the Sawtooth came on my 2017 Sequoia, I like the bike for training, and I won't be switching the tires as long as Specialized keeps making them..they last, grip, roll good, I hope they never stop making them.. Happy Trails..

What's a good tire for dirt roads that can get pretty sandy at times?
I have an old tricross with 622x16 wheels. What is the widest tire recommended?
