Your free stall barn and bed packs are extremely clean. It really shows that you go to great lengths to keep them that way. It's nice to see the calves wearing their blankets. Thanks for the tour of the farm and all the information. Not much you didn't cover. Thank you, Farmer!
That's what I have for water. Energy free Richie. If it gets much below 0 the balls will freeze. Push lose with your hands. Last year was a little colder for 4 days and it froze the line. -30 at night. We normally have 2-3 ft. of frost. NeKs I like that calf shed. Thanks for the videos.
We have at least 8 of these all together. 2 of them are outside at the end on the dry cow barn. On really cold night we started to pile sawdust all around them. That seems to help a lot, but we still have the balls freeze tight once in a while.
For the new born calves do you leave them with there mother to nurse for a few days or do you milk the cow and bottle feed the new born ones? I noticed they'll be a couple days old and you leave them in the calving pen.,

@arlofarms it's the water that runs down their mouth. that gets the balls l It takes a good flow to keep it from getting inside.
Very good videos. I hope u enjoyed ur visit to Wisconsin when u bought ur bull a while back
Thanks! We actually met at a cow sale in Ohio. So we didn't have to go the whole way to Wis.
