I don't know how u define good woman. i dont think Kalani is a bad woman, but rather a woman with very weak will and lacks the wisdom to make the right decision in life. She failed in setting a solid foundation in marriage by accidentally getting pregnant with a random stranger and married him without knowing him much. She failed in parenting when she couldn't even afford the finances in raising her kids and has to rely on her parents. She failed in leading Asuelu to become a better man, as he remained the childish man-child who couldn't share her responsibility and satisfy her in the bedroom and only told him he sucks in bed during the last resort. She lacks the wisdom to change him for the better, so she should just let him go and be with whatever mystery man. All these mistakes start from the day she made that stupid mistake of sleeping with Asuelu and now she's in this huge mess and don't even know the way out.
I only feel bad for their two sons. Having two parents struggling with their relationship is hard enough, but it is harder when one parent is present. Kalani is the only hands on parent while Asuelu acts like a man child.

Getting pregnant on vacation is a dumb idea, I don't care what any woman says, we definitely can take birth control if we feel the man we're dealing with is a knucklehead and we'll forget condoms. Maybe it makes the cheating harder to take. I was a virgin until I was 24 and married the guy. When he was cheating about 12 years into our relationship and accused ME of cheating and giving him an STI, it really hurt me because I knew I had never been with anyone. We'd moved outside of the US and when we split up, I drove him to the airport to go back to the US, then drove myself to the hospital to get an HIV test, all the while upset that I had only had one partner my entire life and I could have HIV. Luckily, I was fine, but for me, it compounded the pain since he knew he'd been my only partner, yet took risks with my body.

I kind of stopped watching 90 day in general but last I saw Kalani and Asuelu they were talking about helping with the kids. I’m a stay at home mom so I very much relate to Kalani like sure, I don’t work but being a stay at home mom is a full time job with no breaks when you have little children and when your partner provides no relief when they are home, it’s incredibly frustrating.

Honestly, at this point I think they would probably be better off just ending things. It’s very obvious that Kalani is not getting what she needs emotionally, sexually or physically from Asuelu. I once listened to a woman talk about how shocked she was by how fantastic sex was with her second husband as opposed to her first. With her first husband, she didn't have a comparison, but her second husband opened up a whole new world to her. This is one of the drawbacks of being a virgin when you get married. More often than not, it is the woman who gets the short end of the sexual incompatibility stick and has to live with the frustration of it...or not.
I think being a virgin in general is a drawback. It sucks and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. You need to know what you like and how compatible you are before marriage. I really don't care what anyone else has to comment right, Asuelu is a lot of things but he's pure - he's obviously got some kind of learning difficulty/autistic trait that hasn't been picked up on in Samoa due to the difference in culture/lifestyle - now he's in the US and the things that he lacked that he might have been able to hide before it's way harder to do so now. Kalani was older than him, seemed very sexually/relationship backward when they got together - she wanted someone to mould, that was her primary goal - and she got that. Asuelu's family are nuts, true - we can't deny that. But Kalani notably abused Asuelu over, over, and over again - gaslighting, quips, making him constantly feel ridiculous, and not good enough. Like when he met her in the airport and danced for her and she was so turned off by him. There's so many examples of her looking at him like "you are so pathetic". BUT THEN. That's also the man she wants, she wants to humiliate and make fun of, that's why she's still with him. She doesn't bring out the best in this man, and there IS a 'best' to bring out as there is in most men, she brings out his shadow side because he always feels unloved and stupid. He came from another country and the day he set foot was the beginning of a slow erasure of everything that made him what he is and everything good in him - a campaign started and enforced by Kalani and her clan.

Asuelu and Kalani is probably one of the few couples I rooted for since their appearance on 90 day. It's heartbreaking to see how they have decimated their marriage. In short, Asuelu is extremely immature, he doesn't know anything about being a man, a father, or a lover to his wife. Without question, perhaps his father and I would guess the culture is the culprit in Asuelu upbringing. Kalani a young inexperienced woman, which is okay by the way, got caught up in the whirlwind of romance when she met Asuelu. Can they come back from all of this, perhaps. It will take hard work and realistic expectations from both of them without her and Asuelu family interference. What happened between these two people isn't unusual. Unfortunately this happens more than we know it's just we're seeing it in real time on television. I truly hope they can get through this because if they do, I imagine they both will be stronger as couple. If not, as individuals their experience will set a stronger foundation for their lives in the future.
It always looked like Kalani took advantage of a young, naive island boy. It backfired on her really hard. Asuelu was never ready. Their poor boys deserve better.
