    hi Yes u can buy a pre-balanced rotating combo from many places in the USA but rarely in OZZY .
    Internal balance is best , 6 inch rods are better .A better rod will give block /sump /cam clearance
    Stroker Scat rods in "I" beam . Hyperutectic or preferred 4032 forged street type .
    The forged pistons , I beams are both light so less or no expensive balance weight required .
    I used forge Scat crank , light drilled Scat forge stroker H beam 6 inch , Weisco Pro TRu Street pistons

    G' Day Mate. Your Chevy 350 V8 looks and sounds awesome. Got plans to do a similar one with an old Holden ute when I can make it to Australia. Been trying to move to Australia for more than 40 years. I applied for immigration status in 1988 and got accepted. I chose to become an ESL teacher after completing graduate school in 2001. Moved to Japan for 6 years which was great. Moved to Oahu in 2008 which was. and very much is horrible for me. Made a friend from South Australia who returned home as I wish I could do. Keep applying for a job in the desert and not getting accepted. Wish I lived in your area or WA for surfing. Good on you, mate

    Mean! That shift set up is cool.

    Excellent budget build
    400 sbc things I found cracking and corrosion . Have whole block crack tested ,valley , head gasket area ,cyl bores . Have the bores sonic tested ,most likely they will be thin .
    A 400 needs a bigger radiator than one used for a 350. The rads used by Holden were very small vs USA

      All to be done in future plans.

      @@Joedennett69 After reading and speaking to few people yes I found out the issues with a 400 . And if its to be believed machine shops in the USA have been rejecting 350 blocks also . Combined age and poor/thin casting over heating will occur

    Great job
    Rear disc conversion dual diaphragm 9 inch booster and disc disc proportioning valve desirable to install . But if it brakes well I`d call it done . Factory h/brake is different in the HZ/WB models .

      I just cobbled together what i thought would work and what i had. Seems to work awsome.

    Glad to see the project on the road!

    Good job mate looks bloody magic. You might know this already but assuming you’ve got clearance under the Bonnet if you put the carby on a 1 inch spacer it’ll run a lot better….. more power…

    • @Joedennett69
      @Joedennett69  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have kicked the rear of the bonnet up for extra clearance and the top of the wing nut on the air cleaner still manages to just rub the underside of the bonnet. I have absolutely 0 clearance.
