One of my favorite lines ever is when they're at the American restaurant in Australia and the waitress says "someone's seated there, but if you purchase our manifest destiny package for 30 dollars, you can have anyone you want forcibly removed from the table," I LOVE THIS SHOW!
The background music is too loud, most of their "hidden facts & Easter eggs" are taken verbatim from IMDB's trivia page, the presenter is so bland that I began tuning him out after the first minute, half of his "facts" involve loudly describing his observations of straightforward jokes: OMG! Eleanor's "dream house" is actually a nightmare! [GASP] In short, I clicked the link for the title, but I'm leaving because of the content
3:06 The narrator calls the Good Place "heaven". 5:16 They end up in the Bad Place in the second season? Dude, they were in the Bad Place the entire time! The only time we see the real Good Place is in season 4. They didn't even watch the show... so here's my thumbs down. OSSA channel = 3:53
I live near an airport that lost its "International" status when an airline stopped the one daily flight to Canada. Being Jacksonville, someone probably just pointed out that Sante Fe is actually a domestic flight.
I live in New Mexico ans once I flew to Boston to rent a van to help a friend move. When I gave the agent my driver's license and credit card she asked if I had an AMERICAN driver's license.
The Good Place is a masterpiece. The attention to detail is great and the humour is on point! The only issue I have ever had about the show was that Chidi uses peeps to put in the Chilli. These are very much NOT a thing we have here in Australia, so might have been more appropriate to use something else??
Yes, exactly ! But he was indeed a writer and producer, but he definitely is not the Inventor of the office (that would be Ricky Gervais for the UK version)
@@mattjones6578 Maybe after the first season. I love the US office but refuse to watch the first season.... it's a worse version of season one of the UK version.
The color themes carry through the whole show. When they're in the good place, the chapter placards are green. In the bad place they're red. In the middle place its yellow.
Am I the only one that noticed John asked if 322 was a special number when Janet said that was the number of residents in the neighbourhood and then that was the name of Michaels apartment in the final scene/episode
In season 1 episode 12 There’s a flashback with Eleanor at the grocery store buying alcohol. It’s when she dies. While she’s checking out you can see a magazine of Tahani in the background
"Basurero" doesn't exactly mean "trash", but rather the place where it goes, such as a landfill. It also refers to the man that works picking trash up. It could actually mean any of those but, by context, it's more likely to be the first one.
I only clicked on this video, because I was surprised to see that over 238,000 people clicked on a video that treats the edge of a table as an Easter egg.
I wish that the world also give an attention to the show “One day at a time” too. The Good place has been one of my faves... thanks for sharing those details
"Inventor of The Office..." I almost stopped watching right there because if you can't get one simple fact right at the beginning of the video then how am I supposed to believe ANYTHING you say throughout the rest of the video.
Not even that.. more like a dump. Though I'm also Venezuelan and there's other ways that people use it, I suppose. For us, basura means trash and trash can, basurero is what you call something bigger, like those huge bins outside, landfills, or it can even be the name for a place that is just completely littered with trash to the point of it being completely disgusting. This actually fits even better for the character imho.
I caught pirates of the Caribbean 12 Easter egg and the parks and recreation Ron and creppy photo guy. As a bonus, any fans of portal 2 recognized wheatlys voice as the guy in season 3.
Inventor of "The Office". 🤣🤣 I think as an entertainment information outlet, you can do better in terms of facts like the above. Also, Parks & Rec wouldn't be possible without The Office, but kudos to Shur for making these two brilliant series after writing for The Office.
heres something you guys missed,,, the native American statue in the American buffet resturaunt is a possible reference to Tecumseh the native American statue that sat near the front door on "Cheers"

I kind of thought the Indian statue at the Cowboy Skyscraper was a nod to the statue at the entrance of Cheers. He was sort of a good luck charm in that series. Maybe I was off, but that came to mind when I saw it. = )
Every item on the menu is brilliant! At 7:21 pause the video and read the Ol' Faithful meal and Grand Canyon Dog. Not to mention the desert special served in a Chevy hub cap!
In the final episode when they're showing Michael living as a human, he's sharing his chinese food with his dog Jason. In addition to the reference to Jason, on Ted Danson's previous show Becker, his character's favorite food was chinese.
The Archangel Michael was also first seen as a healing angel, but over time became a protective being. He lead Gods army against the devil, just as Michael led the humans against Shaun, who I assume is the head Bad Place guy.
Of everyone that has watched it that I know, I think I was the only one who picked up on the Friday Night Lights references. And I might have even missed a few.
So...remember that thing about "the native American holding a saxophone..."??? Well, in Cheers, Ted Danson's show there was a carved statue of, you guessed it, a native American Chief...

i hate it when they just put random images with circles on them like they mean something
He did explain what they meant in the video tho
"Inventor of The Office"
The entire UK just stood up and shook their fists at you
Totally Agree and I live in Africa, total bollocks, inventor my a**hole
Not just the UK
I don't think he was even the showrunner/head writer on The Office (US). He was just a writer. Otherwise he wouldn't have played Mose lol
Correct....invented by Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant.
Just about to comment that lol
The narrator sounds like the good place accountant, Stephen Merchant.
rebotic response.
Yes!
In that they are both British? That’s about the only resemblance.

Neat how this vid went from subtle Easter eggs in season 1 to “did you notice Eleanor was played by Kristin Bell” obviousness in season 2.
Good video- albeit hard to understand the narrator over the background music.
Turn down the background music volume!!!
The American version of The Office was created by Greg Daniels, not Mike Schur

pretty good video too
My favorite Easter egg is when the head accountant was holding a mug that said existences best boss instead of worlds best boss from the office.

Did anybody else, when they first saw that Uncle Sam poster “I want you” get some serious captain America (the first avenger) flashbacks
1:25 i love it tooooo

The writer who is ‘the inventor of The Office’ looks nothing like Ricky Gervaise.
The tequila “el basurero” means The trash place, or the place where you dump the trash
So, “the bad place”
You see the drink special that Janet tells them on the menu
Basurero actually means landfill, not garbage, it's related but it's not the same.
"Inventor of The Office"?
Basurero ACTUALLY means garbage person sooo... (Like the person that picks up the garbage and stuff, idk if I explain myself, I am from Spain xd)
