An absolute masterpiece. Linkin Park and Jayz are legends in their own right but their collaborations are on a whole new level. RIP Chester Bennington 😔
@@purphexyon It makes me think of Whitney Huston and those powerful high notes she would hit. When her cocaine addiction was in play she said that was what helped her have the energy to continue to belt out her songs..
So they did an EP called Collision Course it has 6 songs I think this is the most popular but if you check out Big Pimpin'/ Papercut or Izzo/ In the End you won't be disappointed.
They did a whole mash up cd. The whole thing is absolutly AMAZING!!! There is also a video that JayZ did as a tribute to Chester and you can tell how much this collaboration meant. Truly great music.
Mike Shinoda is a freakin genius. You have to watch the making of this collab to see what I mean. This beat is Numb, almost all the way through, Jigga did Encore over it. Collision Course is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Words cannot describe the awesomeness of this collab
This concert was a surprise for the fans. Jay Z fans knew Jay Z was going to be there and the Linkin Park fans knew Linkin Park was going to be there but didn't know that the other artist would be there. There was 200 Linkin Park fans and 200 Jay Z fans there. This was for MTV for a show they were originally going to do as a series called Ultimate MashUps but only did 1 in the end. This was done in 2004.
I always get chills and goosebumps when I watch and listen to this. Epic collaboration. I love it.👍👍 There are some great Linkin Park live concerts(one that's amazing is the iTunes 2011 concert and yeah that's incredible) on TH-cam.
So glad you took my suggestion! I Yes it was a very small venue, but a secret concert. Members of Jay Z's and LP's fan clubs were invited to something but they didn't know the treat they were in for! I got the DVD at the time and years later I still love this collab.
You have to do Points of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer. For me, best one the album!! The look on Jay-Z's face at the end alone is worth it. Lol Also you can watch the making of the Collision Course album. It's really awesome.
*Please react to LINKIN PARK:* 1. Don’t Stay 2. Lying From You 3. Pushing me Away 4. LP x Jay Z - 99prob/Authority/closer 5. LP x Jay Z - Lying from you The two LP x JAY tracks are from this same concert that you’re reacting too. They’re amazing.
You've always loved a good collab, Jay! Believe me, I had the same smile on my face you had when it came out. Definitely check out the audio - I have it in my playlist always! 🎵❤
RIP Chester. I took his suicide really hard, almost personally. This was amazing to hear two completely different genres of music come together so seamlessly. You can't go wrong with Linkin Park. Period. Chester put lyrics & meaning to my all my feelings & what I was going through. I miss his voice everyday. Please listen to One Last Light 🙏 🥰💜
I love this. I can't remember if you've done Numb yet, the official video, if not, it is definitely one to listen to. Also for more Linkin Park, Papercut you will love and The Messenger is really special.. amazing lyrics. My favorite version of that is the live from Madrid version.
4:35 jay-z is super duper good live i saw him and beyonce during the first on the run tour in 2014 and even tho I’m a big jay-a listener I hadn’t prior it never really paid attention to his live but I deffo should’ve he was a beast during the concert. Ofc beyonce too but it was expected from her but he, had crazy energy and sounds exactly like the CD.
There is no studio version of this so the audio would be pretty much the same thing, but you should do the reaction for this whole freaking concert. It's great stuff.
check out Dirt off your shoulder/Lying from You and Jigga What/Faint next please :) this was a very small venue called the Roxy Theatre wich has a capacity of around 1000 people. But they actually played with Jay-Z in Madison Square Garden too a few times :) (not the whole set)
I havent heard a genre crossover this good since "Walk this way" between Aerosmith and Run DMC.
We need this much more often in today's music scene.
If you're into "symphonic" metal, Xzibit did an epic ft with Within Temptation called And We Run.
I agree I’m surprised not many know of the Aerosmith run DMC
The whole show is outstanding. The songs blend so well.
The WHOLE show. 100%.
Also check out JAY-Z & Linkin Park - Points of Authority / 99 Problems / One Step Closer
This!!!
Yes!
Yes !! 👍
RIP Chester... channels like jay keep the memory going...
Ya they collabed a couple times for live shows. Jay-Z even did a tribute for Chester with this song.
Yes at BBC radio
And some other tributes also
One of the best crossovers...ever....was actually nearly fkn perfect tbh
An absolute masterpiece. Linkin Park and Jayz are legends in their own right but their collaborations are on a whole new level.
RIP Chester Bennington 😔
I've always LOVED this collab. So unexpected. I love when genres cross over for songs like this.
Crossover AND sound all the better for it.
People went nuts when this was released. Great performance 🤩🤩🤩
true story🙏🏽
I love Chesters growl when he does it. I can only imagine how hard that was on his vocal cords to continue to it.
I heard he would go so hard he would throw up after shows. I wouldnt be surprised if that was true. He gave his all in their songs.
@@purphexyon It makes me think of Whitney Huston and those powerful high notes she would hit. When her cocaine addiction was in play she said that was what helped her have the energy to continue to belt out her songs..
@@Tiger-Lilly Oh wow, I never knew that.
YESSSS Linkin Park!!!!! Love them!!!! Jay Z did his thing too! Rest easy Chester, you are So missed 🕊️...
Love linkin park! they also did a really great version of "burn it down" with Timberlan
99 Problems from that performance is also amazing, but then again the whole Hybrid Theory collab is legendary!
When this song came out, it felt groundbreaking! I still get chills and a little sad to see Chester singing. Wish he was still here.
So they did an EP called Collision Course it has 6 songs I think this is the most popular but if you check out Big Pimpin'/ Papercut or Izzo/ In the End you won't be disappointed.
I second that. Collision Course was great.
The whole mash-up (Collision Course) was produced by Mike Shinoda. That man is so underrated.
They did a whole mash up cd. The whole thing is absolutly AMAZING!!! There is also a video that JayZ did as a tribute to Chester and you can tell how much this collaboration meant. Truly great music.
They were on a collision course and in doing so they created something incredibly unique!
I miss these days... miss u chester...
I love this collab! I miss Linkin Park!!! RIP Chester.

Yes he is. And does not get the recognition he deserves.
So happy you found this song. Still rocking this one 15 years later and it never gets old. Masterpiece.
Love this version RIP Chester Bennington great collaboration 🎶🎶🎶🎶

One of the best collaborations ever 🔥🔥 Glad to see you're digging it! ✌
First time I heard this, I got goosebumps. Still get them.
the entire album (collision course) is awesome. definitely worth a listen.

The entire Linkin Park album "Reanimation" is stuff like this (not with Jay-Z though). It's awesome and well worth listening to.

99 Problems/Points of Authority/ One Step Closer live. Even BETTER!
