This was around the time when Prince decided to drop his name and just use a symbol to represent himself lol. Then he says what others are saying about himself “to do black music so selfishly, to use it to get myself wealthy” to which he responds “ a million other white rappers emerge but no matter how many fish in the sea it’ll be so empty without me”. Then of course the Bin Laden references because that was after 9/11 and the war with Iraq was going on. So there’s all the references y’all. It’s not really that complicated.
Man, the pure joy on your face when Em drops an especially complicated bar with flawless beat... that's why I'm subscribed! Another fun and super crazy video where Eminem's potty mouth goes off is A$$ Like That. Would love to see you shocked and confused over that one XD
Love, love, love this video!! You see many pop culture references like the old E! True Hollywood Story (the Elvis bits), The Real World, Survivor, Moby (an EDM artist in the day, Osama Bin Laden, Dick Chaney, Chris Kirpatrick of 'N Sync, and Limp Biskit. My favorite Eminem song along with Lose Yourself (a much more serious song that won an Oscar).
Eminem caused waves in a lot of ways. He caused so much controversy with his lyrics. How he spoke about his mom, poverty, society at the time, the government but teenagers related and loved him for it. His music videos were also controversial as in this video at the end he is dressed up as osama bin Ladin hiding in a cave. His mom Debbie also took him to court due to his lyrics about her and his childhood. Due to his lyrics a lot of people wanted him censored and not on mtv ( the main music channel at the time for last music) or anywhere really. And this was in the uk at the time. He was a underdog who spoke about things that a lot of people wasn’t talking about.
I'm a 60-year-old white woman, and I've loved so much of Eminem's music. He's brilliant. He got a lot of flak because his lyrics were filled with violence against women. Lots of his music is based on his rocky history with the women in his life. I don't hold this against him, women can be terrible, but kids shouldn't be hearing it without some analysis from their parents. This is certainly his funniest video, but they all tell a story. "Stan" is heart-shattering. "Rap God" just tells it like it is. "Love the Way You Lie" lays out the co-dependency in domestic violence. Just amazing.
His lyrics are epic. I'm a 66-year-old English teacher and I always refer to Eminem when teaching my students elements of poetry. My students really enjoy it.

Then of course the Bin Laden references because that was after 9/11 and the war with Iraq was going on.
So there’s all the references y’all. It’s not really that complicated.
When I'm driving jamming to him, I'm all OVER the place. Those beats! Gotta watch that speed too😄
He had the best videos! MTV used to have a show “Making the Video” and this video was featured on the show and so much fun seeing his sense of humor.
I'm an old lady who has loved Eminem from the beginning. Him and 50 Cent, get my blood racing with their kinda dangerous style, great stuff...
He is so right, it feels so empty without him lol
Man, the pure joy on your face when Em drops an especially complicated bar with flawless beat... that's why I'm subscribed! Whether it's lyrics, melody, video or instrumentals - it's so much fun experiencing these musical pearls for the first time with you.
Another fun and super crazy video where Eminem's potty mouth goes off is A$$ Like That. Would love to see you shocked and confused over that one XD
I clicked this SO fast
I remember 2002 it was on the radio 10 times a day
so catchy
Love, love, love this video!!
You see many pop culture references like the old E! True Hollywood Story (the Elvis bits), The Real World, Survivor, Moby (an EDM artist in the day, Osama Bin Laden, Dick Chaney, Chris Kirpatrick of 'N Sync, and Limp Biskit.
My favorite Eminem song along with Lose Yourself (a much more serious song that won an Oscar).
So much talent
Lol so fun! Everything from Em is fire ! Enjoy his catalogue 😉❤️🇨🇦
Welcome back Jay hope you are rested
Looks like he had a lot of fun making this video 🤪 I like the song 👍🏾
So fun to both listen to and watch!
The bagpipe sound you're hearing is a saxa phone homey 😃
I LOVE EMINEM! First time I heard him I thought my heart would beat right out of my chest. 🤯💞🔥
I remember this video coming out. Great fun and the song is a banger!
"The way i am" is probably my all time favorite from him!! " "Renegade" (w/JayZ) & Cleaning out my closet" Real good ones too!
Love this song forever ❤️
Something in Spanish 💃🏽💃🏽💖💖🎵🎶 Senora Dinamita! Que nadie sepa mi sufrir* means that no one see me suffer"💋
Oh the memories :)) I always LOL so hard at Dre's moment 4:23
Elvis pulling that sandwich from the toilet is probably the funniest thing I have ever seen in any video. 🤣
This is one of the most popular songs on MTV back in the days :)😊😉👍
Eminem is quality. My favourite album is The Slim Shady EP but Rap God proves he's still got it..he's a genius..
rap in the 90 or early 20 is the real deal and real feelings.
Tom Macdonald- Sober! Its so uplifting and true! And Dear Slim! Produced by Eminem
Just amazing.
cant beat a bit of eminem. love they guy.😁😁😁
Eminem!!! Love him!
Liked that he put in part of the bat man tv series theme! Lolol
My fave sing of his!
