Today I'm painting my Losi LMT, a solid axle Monster Truck. I have fitted a Proline Racing Ford F-150 which is intended for the Traxxas TRX-4, but is a perfect fit on the Losi chassis, even with the cage in place.
The theme I'm going with is "The Flying Dutchman", a trade ship that has gone missing hundreds of years ago and has been spotted at random ever since, haunting the seas and oceans. I'm originally Dutch, hence the weird accent, and seeing all the travel restrictions that are in place currently I wanted to travel, in spirit, to my former home country.
Holland is known for a lot of things such as cheese, clogs, tulips, but also a number of things that I would be able to incorporate in this bodyshell. So aside from a depiction of the ship on both sides of the body, on the top I will paint a typically Dutch scene with a windmill, some waterside towns with church towers, barn roofs and some reeds and reed cigars to further set it off. there will even be a guy rowing a tiny boat!

I vote this to be his best yet. Not only is his painting skill impeccable but the ability to translate a vision into a work of art on a body shell is a talent most people can only dream of having.
GMUMMY that’s incredibly nice of you, thank you so much! I truly appreciate your support. 😃
Your work deserves to be in the Rijksmuseum. 😎
I know you can't only paint bodies because people will get bored and not watch but this is why I subscribed years ago. Watching you paint is almost like therapy.
This is witchcraft! Never ceases to amaze, you Sir, are a true artist.
That is super kind of you, Steve! Thank you!
Stunning. Effing awesome. You make the Dutch proud. This makes up for leaving our little rainy country. Keep up the gold standard. 😜
Thank you very much! Dit was echt ontzettend leuk om te maken!
Hey ProLine I know you are watching this. How about a Hemistorm Flying Dutchman collectors edition body. That is awesome! Plus you owe me for buying all those clear bodies with hopes of painting something cool but inevitably ending up with yet another matt black body.
Haha, that would be rad! Thank you for watching!
Holy shit. U Hemistorm just did not say rad. Omg. I haven't heard that word In 25 or 30 years. I remember the movie. Haaaabaaaa
The flying Dutchman looks freakin awesome
This paint job is by far the best I've seen... Different and sick...
That is very kind and super nice to read, thank you very much!
Your music rocks as hard as your many talents. Awesome job.
I appreciate that, many thanks!
Amazing work! So much control over the PS cans.
Thanks! Always fun to try some tricks!
BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thank you, Brandon!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder 🎨 cannot believe how good of an artist/painter u need 2 be to be able to create and execute a Bodyshell scheme like this all of your shells look badass 👊🤘
Impressive work! Such intricate masking 👌🏼
Thank you very much!
That is sensational!
Thanks!
Wow that is just outstanding, I’m always impressed with your work. Appreciate you sharing is always.
andrew richey cheers! I hope you are well!
You've got an amazing talent when it comes to painting RC bodies. I can barely make a single colour look good.
I also have had a lot of practice and messed up plenty of times. Keep having fun, stay patient and yours will definitely surpass your expectations. Stay safe!
awesome as always Chris
Thanks! 👍🏼😃
Amazing work! All of your work is great but something special about this one. Deserves to be in an art museum👌
Wow, thank you! That is a super cool comment!
This is how it's done! Master at work. Amazing stuff Chris.
Thank you very much, Matt! Stay warm!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! I love it. As usual, the hard work paid off!
-Azizi
Thank you! I hope the count down is still going!
Mind boggling! You never fail to come up with amazing paint schemes! Thanks for the inspiration to up my painting game.
Nice! Have fun painting!
Awesome paintjob mate! Dope skills.
Thank you, I hope it comes in useful if you have a future project. 😃
Yay! Chris has some Tamiya rattlecans into hot water again! Nice paint coming... Another masterpiece added to your awesome stash. Keep it going that way, fantastic paintwork as always. Stay safe, cheers from Spain.
Heck yes, always have a huge thermos with hot water at hand when I paint, makes it a lot easier. Thank you for your viewership!
Awsome as always your attention to detail is out of this world and your patience is amazing. Great vid thanks for sharing it. take care and stay safe 🤙👍
You too, thank you so much for watching!
If there was car show for RC trucks I would vote your paint scheme best in show. The Go GO dancer in your intro fits the music perfectly.
Siiiiick!!!! and either side you are looking from the skyline is either that or the reflection.
The ship alone blows me away!
Thats outstanding! The colour combination reminds me a bit on that gta5 themed short course body 👌
Definitely took it as an earlier inspiration, these are fun to do!
Your opening footage with the windmill sketch was a given! Great video once again!
Glad you liked it!
Awsome !!!!!unreal did not think those colours would mesh so well...
Sometimes unlikely combinations are definitely worth checking out! Thank you for stopping by. :)
I love when you do paint jobs. 👍🏼👍🏼
I'm very happy to read that, these videos are very time consuming to produce!
You Sir are a master painter. I've not seen any paint job you've that I have said you could've done better. You are a modest when you say it turned out ok. You're awesome. Keep up the great work.
You must be one of the best painters in the hobby , using rattle cans is not easy to get crisp details , you seem to get better with every project
That is a real nice compliment to receive, thanks so much!
If I had a car with a body like that it would be a shelf queen, that is awesome, great painting skills as usual
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey man sharp work👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers Sean!
I love how you show how you paint the bodies.
Great work work man.
Looks stunning.
😎👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thanks for this, perfect timing. This should help me out with my upcoming body.
You got this! Have fun!
Holly Moley Chris you knock it outta the park every body you paint this one is a bit close to home for me too as I'm 1/4 Dutch, glad I got to see final theme on your LMT next level thanks for sharing your amazing hobby 😎👍👊
Thank you, Tim! Always nice to see you stop by. Cheers!
More than ok it’s freakin AMAZING excellent job every time WOW
Why thank you so much! :)
Stunning Chris what a fantastic paint job
Many thanks, Riley! Stay safe!
You sir, are a serious artist. Your stuff is amazing. Thanks!
Thank you so much, Michael! That is exceptionally kind, I appreciate you taking the time to view the video and leave a comment!
Awesome paint job and the body style fit very well with the monster truck.
I think so too, Losi did a great job in coming up with the right size and dimensions for this vehicle. Happy to see you like the paint!
I just want to thank you and your channel helps me a lot in my projects, your technical experience is very important!
Holy💩 Chris! You blow my mind sir with your talent. I love your painting videos and learn a little more every time I watch them. So please more painting videos!!!🙏🏼👍🏼🤟🏼🇺🇸
Many thanks for your kind words, lots of cool projects lined up, big and small!
Gotta be honest, THIS should be a real Monster Jam Truck from a Dutch team... This looks awesome!
You are “legende” Your work is the best in the RC world. Flying Dutchman is the best so far.
I'm always very impressed at your painting skills. Every time I think you've outdone yourself you do something like this. Pretty awesome
It is always a challenge to try and come up with a fresh idea, but sometimes an idea hits and turns out to be a real fun project, like this one. Thank you for watching!
@@hemistormrc simply awesome. Just the thought that you put into the theme of the bodies is well put together.
That is an awesome paint job. Love the way you mix colors together an turns out great
Thanks Scot, it can be a bit of a gamble but sometimes it pays off to take a bit of risk. Have fun and stay safe!
Dude bad ass, I’ve been watching your channel for along time & it never gets old! Great job!
That is good to hear! Thank you for the support!
The "Flying Dutchman" by the Crazy Dutchman!!! 😜😂😅
Chris - YOU winging it - is miles beyond the rest of our's AVERAGE!!!!!
This Video was great beginning to end. Music was COOL 😎, that Paint Job was DOPE!! 💯👍👍👊
The blending was beautiful, but that Roof Mural was EXCEPTIONAL! As always, beyond impressive!! 😁
Carmine ✈🚂🚙
You make it look easy my friend. Great work!
Thank you! Cheers!
That is one heck of a cool body for a monster truck! Your creativity with paint is awesome! Really enjoy watching your videos 👍👍👍👍👍. Great ideas and information
Thank you very much!
Love it, best one yet in my opinion. Also love your humble attitude where your skills are concerned. Your work speaks for itself, can't wait for the next one.
I appreciate that, thank you very much. Stay safe!
What an absolutely stunning bodyshell that is.
Thank you so much, that is most kind!
I am completely amazed and very inspired by your paint jobs. I have painted a 2 color CrossRC JT-4 but ended up with a bit of bleed under the masking tape. Now you have me wanting to paint a new scx6 Honcho body with the tri-color (yellow/orange/red) and a black background instead of white. Thanks for the great informative content!
I have no words. You just keep getting better!
Wow, thank you!
Really nice result, and the tutorial is spot on! It's definitely easier to follow than your earlier tutorials, I think I must have watched all your paint videos by now! My next paint job will be a truck, quite inspired by that copper G-Made you did earlier...
Let me know how it turns out!
Never cease to amaze that thing is awesome looking how do you always outdo yourself
That is very kind of you, thanks!
Excellent presentation - I particularly like how you added the small inset of the paint code as you used that color, it made the whole paintjob seem very achievable. Thank you for sharing and keep posting the awesome work!
Glad you noticed, I have actually done that in the past four paint videos I think just to break down the process a bit further. Happy to see it simplifies things!
@@hemistormrc I knew there was a chance I was not totally up to speed, but I thought it was way more important to provide positive feedback for a job well done. My wife really thought it was great too, and we will be catching up on older videos. Thanks for teaching us and please keep it up.
So cool to have you back brotha!
Stoked to be back!
Wow, just Wow, you did a great job. Bravo
Amazing work as usual, a work of art! To nice to drive!
Haha, thank you John! Stay safe!
It's a work of art!!
That is very kind, thanks Brian!
Fantastic work. Inspiring, I went further and got an airbrush, just to get past some of the spray can limitations. I'm always impressed by what you acheve with rattle cans.
Keep me posted on how it works for you!
Amazing work as always. Definitely one of the best spray can painters in the hobby.
Thank you so much, that is an awesome compliment! Cheers!
Kind of OK? More like freeking awesome Chris! Don't have words.
Finally getting to watch. Had 5 days of H painting racks for a factory. I hate dead lines.
Another masterpiece Chris ..... always going one step further man .... awesome
Wow. That looks so good. Excellent work
I'm disabled and take care of my 91 year old Grandmother. Have been painting shells lately and wish I had a.printer because i could do so much more with my photoshop. Beautiful work. I wanted to try and make some kind of sunburst like the Traxxas Bodies. Or just get into painting bodies. Ty for the vid
Absolutely stunning.
You got some mad painting skills great 👍
Unbelievable ,always such awesome bodies great work
Glad you dig it, have fun and stay safe!
Loved this one, I have just tried my first paint job by blending the paint like this, I can not wait to pull that clear of the body as see how it turned out
Totally awesome man, like the paintjob 👍👍👍👍
Amazingly good! I thought I had polycarbonate painting skills, but this is so far beyond what I’ve done! Great job man! 👍
Thanks a bunch! So much fun too.
Rik Smits the ''flying dutchman'', entire career as a Pacer. AKA the ''dunking dutchman''. I'm guessing you knew about this guy being Dutch and all. Hell of a player. Great job on the body pal, pleasure to watch. 🥇
Looks fantastic!
Thanks Steve, super fun this was!
Just awesome.... again...!
Thank you so much 😀 Stay safe!
Amazing job, I’d love to see you in action with a plotter and paint mask!! Very nice!
Nice that you put the ps numbers for us!
No problem 👍
Simply awesome, thx for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
This paintjob came out AMAZING!!! Thanks for the inspiration! I have so far only used spray cans and masking tape for the painting I have done , but was just given an airbrush kit for fathers day. I will likely still use Tamiya rattle cans for large areas and main colors, and use the airbrush for other things, like drop shadows, adding some details and effects , etc...to make things come out a bit nicer for the finished product.
Thanks again for the awesome channel, and this inspiring video. Keep shining bro!
Looks great as always. I just finished painting the body for my LMT roller, and I masked the lettering using the backlit method I learned from one of your older vids. Cheers.
Killer paint job and killer music. What band is that in the second song (started at 11:45)? Kind of reminds me of a little bit of Bad Religion.
The second band is called Coma Svensson. Glad you like it!
Talent. Excellent work
Thank you so much 😀
Amazing work as always. I look forward to making a fun body for my lose after the gravedigger is totaled.
You can do it! Have fun!
Great video. Really enjoy all the videos you make and appreciate them. Thank you
I wish I had the ability to draw and paint like that I can build anything from cars to cycles .house . electrics.allways was told grow up u don't need to pay someone to do it learn it and do it yourself and that drives me to try everything and built some insane things but when it comes to drawing and what color will clash gets me .just wanted to say hats of ser .you are a hell of a artist have a wonderful day.
Practice makes perfect, have fun trying and don't be afraid to experiment!
Badass paint job
Thank you, Steve!
Well done as Always 👏👏👏 still king of moving art !!!
Thank you so much, I hope you and yours are well!
Awesome paintjob...wow. :)
Thank you very much!
You have outdone yourself on this one Chris! This is deffo my favorite paint job so far. I really really like it. Keep up the amazing work and stay safe mate :-)
Thanks a bunch! That is really nice to read, Richard. I hope you are well!
@@hemistormrc I'm safe but my ME illness have doing plaing havoc with me since mid September, so next to nothing has been done really. But I try to do something rc related now and then. But at least is great for me see you having fun :-) And your health seem way better now after you quit smoking :-)
Looks a lot like the GTA body from a few years back. Very badass
Yes indeed, took a few styling cues from it. Have fun!
Je bent een artiest Chris! Super resultaat. 👊🏽😊🇳🇱
Amazing my brother!!!
Thanks for the visit, I appreciate it!
When you started off I was wondering how that overlap was going to look especially the overspray but it actually came out pretty good it doesn't look bad at all that's a good job there keep up the good work especially with cans 🤙🏻🔥😎🔥👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Glad you liked it! Experimenting with color and techniques is a lot of fun.
Stunning.
Thank you!
killer paint job
Very nice job mate it looks great 👍
Glad you like it, thanks!
