    As someone in the regulator manufacturing field, this video is very good. Highly recommended.

      @@TeamNinjistik I forgot what specific question I had :( I need very high flow nitrogen gas at 175psi from a tank (3000 psi?). I found some high flow regulators from Concoa, i.e. 1/2" NPT in and out, up to 24,000 SCFH flow, part# 67B2321-01-580R. The problem is the valve on the tank (CGA 580 connection) only flows 1500 SCFH. Can I put a tee on the tank between the tank and the stock valve so I can connect the regulator directly to the tank? If I do that I assume I can put a full port ball valve on the output of the regulator to shut off the flow. They also have 3/4" NPT in/out with model 67B232B-01-000R but that's getting a little crazy. Another company with an ultra high flow regulator is DK-LOK with part# 092-0350C-1 for 1/2" NPT and DR702-SP-025-NP2-H1 for 3/4" NPT. Let me know about the ball valve option on the output to stop flow, or if that would be bad for the regulator over time. Thanks!

    Can I use oxygen pressure gauge on LPG gas cylinder ? I WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH GAS IS INSIDE THE CYLINDER. METHANE PRESSURE A CYLINDER AND OXYGEN PRESSURE CYLINDER ARE THEY THE SAME?

    What if there is no flow control valve the regulator? What is used to control flow?

      Your question will have to be much more specific and is best addressed on a forum. If the regulator is a "fixed" regulator than pressure/flow is preset. If you've an old regulator find out who made it and contact their tech support for a manual if you don't have one which is common.

      Knowledge is power so study the subject of industrial gas safety. Many workplace briefings are insufficient. The stuff isn't magic but should be treated with respect. READ. Videos are a start but text fills out useful details.

    Does the output pressure decrease as the input pressure decreases?

    • @megmail9536
      @megmail9536 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It depends on the regulator used. A double stage regulator does a better job at maintaining output pressure as the cylinder pressure decreases.

    • @obfuscated3090
      @obfuscated3090 ปีที่แล้ว

      The purpose of the regulator is to prevent that but it's wise if your process requires full output pressure not to run the cylinder until it has none.

    • @David.5035

      I would use higher pressurised cylinder to avoid that or atleast minimise it. I would not take my advice without 2nd opinion.

    On movie you can see teflon tape wrapped around the screw :-)

    • @obfuscated3090
      @obfuscated3090 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Roadster1215 Plain Teflon is best used on low pressure fittings but thread sealant is better (less likely to unscrew) and Krytox sealant is available. Oxygen-safe Teflon tape like Blue Monster is preferred for high pressure oxygen connections like nipple to regulator because all it takes is a tiny crumb of the wrong material (or even regulator brass) for particle impact ignition and an oxygen regulator fire. I've rebuilt my own oxygen and other regulators and torches for many years and worked with GOX and LOX on USAF fighters. It pays to be more careful than what many people get away with...
