jajajaja, I was 12 years old when I watched that movie in theaters, that movie was more like an action film than a martial art movie, It was a really great film anyway.
Despite some behind the scenes issues I think this is JCVD’s best first attempts being a serious actor rather than a action hero. This movie would work with or without the action scenes because the story is very heartfelt and moving. 15 years later JCVD would distant himself from martial arts action roles and would do more acting than fighting and he has proved himself to be a fantastic actor
I would also run to Rosanna Arquette. :-) Lovely movie from are Belgian hero Jean-Claude. Also with the great Joss Ackland and Ted Levine. Is in my impressive dvd collection. 'Excuse me, i'm gonna steel Rosanna's salt now.' ;-)
