Always nice to see the unibody vehicles offroad!
The torsional rigidity is still pretty darn good.
Nothing wrong with a wk2 out in the wild. 😎
I’ve been watching all of your videos over and over again while waiting for a new one. Very excellent. I can’t wait to do Rausch Creek off road when I move to PA
Thank You, your welcome to join us anytime. We have a group on FB called Northeast 4x4 Off-Road Club. Let me know when your in the area.
I will also note the independent suspension / chassis and its elements of the grand cherokee, it is very durable and hardy, allowing it to withstand heavy loads / impacts! The thickness of the front and rear levers of the trailhawk is incredibly thick!!! Applies to all suspension elements
Yeah, just look at the tow rating. Says a lot.
Monocoque Body with Built-in Ladder Frame
They say that superior off-road handling capability could only come at the expense of on-road smoothness. They have obviously never driven Grand Cherokee . By incorporating a lightweight and highly rigid monocoque body with a built-in ladder frame that provides added resistance to torsion and flexing and fixing them atop a dynamic independent suspension, Grand Cherokee achieves an unprecedented combination of all-terrain control and luxury-sedan comfort. For added durability, grand cherokee now makes more extensive use of galvanized steel body panels, while the new aluminum hood panel reduces weight for better handling.
This is a great video. Nice work
How is this being recorded? By a leading camera vehicle? Cause it looks quite smooth. Curious what that car is then.
c'est beau!
In your very first scene (attempt at climbing that hill) more momentum and throttle management would have helped tremendously!
Nice video, I hope to have a jeep V8 trackhawk someday.
What drive mode were you using in these shots? Or which do you prefer? Sounda like youre in 4Hi some times!
Love the v8 thump though! Awesome vid.
I have a v6 limited lifted on 33s and it shocks me how capable these wk2s are. Grateful for my coil suspension though, rides amazing and flexes way more!
Rockmode is my go to offroad.
Nice what trails?
Try only lifting the suspension to off road 2 for when you need to clear an obstacle then switch down to off road 1 for added suspension comfort.
Nice Video, more pls
What modifications were there on this Trail Hawk?
Curious if your transmission overheated at all during this?
I like these, airing down a bit wild help
did, from 33 to 21 ;-). Not exactly stock tires either ;-)))
Momentum gets you over the top, quit driving slow
What kind of roof rack is that?
Is it stock suspension or lifted? Air or standard? Thanks
All Trailhawks come with air suspension as standard equipment.
These jeeps have rear diff lockers??
yes but only while using low range
They have an ELSD
@@justanotheryoutubeuploader not true. They can lock even on high. Try sand or mud mode
As Hartmut said, they have a limited-slip differential at the rear; not a diff lock per se
The pro about air suspension is the ground clearance the con is the ride quality sucks.
yeah, OR2 ride quality is about as bouncy and bad as it gets.
Also con is when the rig is lifted there is almost no flex
Terrible driving
Struggling
