    That looks like an incredibly fun trail. You made it look pretty easy too. Good job.

      Thanks! It’s a blast, but this was probably the hardest trail due to the ledges.

      Definitely, just not sure where yet. We are thinking maybe Arizona if we go in the fall, or SW Colorado again if we go this summer. Hopefully, we’ll get it nailed down soon!

    We did Top of the World a few years back in a JKUR. There are for sure some places that will challenge the Trail Hawk but as you can from this video, it can be done. We havent been able to get back to Moab for 3 years now and I miss our yearly adventures out west...

    • @funkywk2

      We want to go back, but I think Poison Spider is the only other Badge trail we can do. There are a ton of other trails and places we didn’t get to go, though. So much to explore out there!!

    • @mikerobbins5049

      @@funkywk2 For sure there is a lot to do. We went 8 yrs in a row in our Jeep. The last time we were in our new JLUR. We did Poison Spider among others. Its got a couple of tough sections. Since then I’ve done a lift and added 37” tires but havent been able to make it back due to family obligations and this crazy Covid stuff....

      Auto most of the time, Rock mode (4 low) when I want the extra traction (eLSD is basically locked in Rock mode).

    Don't bet against the Trailhawk Jeeps! It might not be a Wrangler Rubicon but it's still a top of the line Jeep ! Also, keep in mind, yeah you can modify Trailhawk jeeps but typically you won't get much more than a 3 inch lift and a 32/33 tire on them and less tire than that for Compass and Renegade. However, you CAN achieve pretty darn good angles on the Trailhawk jeeps with slight modifications and the Grand Cherokee and Cherokee Trailhawk in particular , when slightly modified can arguably follow stock Rubicons many places as they have both angles AND the power to really climb like crazy. I don't think there's a limit lol... If you have the traction .. it has the power to climb ! That's pretty much how it goes for Cherokee and Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. The compass and Renegade are great , but they need more power. That's the ONLY issue with compass and Renegade. If the hills aren't super super step, you've still met your match even with a compass or Renegade. It's still a Jeep and it will still blow you away.

    • @funkywk2
      @funkywk2  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! It was a ton of fun, plus seeing the different terrain all in close proximity is an experience. There are places you could camp, but I’m not sure if it’s allowed. I don’t see why not as it’s in the Nat’l. park. You would probably need to get the overnight permit vs. the day pass, I suspect.

      Is that really it’s intended use? How well do they hold up used like this? It is impressive considering the on road manners are reallly good

    • @funkywk2
      @funkywk2  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@biggsly5000 I don’t know about intended use, but I think Fahd was implying that most don’t actually off road GC’s even though they were built to be terrific wheeling vehicles.
      How well they hold up will have more to do with how they’re treated vs where you take them, to an extent. We have some pinstripes and some dings, but we knew that would happen when chose this over a JL (knowing it would be going some rough places).
      Don’t forget, there are some videos out there with the Jeep engineers using Moab as the proving ground for the WK2 Trailhawk, including Top of the World.

    What chin protection is that, and is it able to take a winch? It looks like it maintains the radar for factory cruise, but not the parking sensors?
    I am considering a GCTH as a replacement to my lifted JKUR. The value for dollar can't really be beat by anything else on the market right now. I'm a bit loathe to give up some of my trail capability, but after my last 4500 mile trip I was definitely ready to gain some comfort/driver assistance features and a reduced NVH.

    • @gspfunk
      @gspfunk 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s the Offroad Animal front bumper and I have the hidden winch mount behind it. My Smittybilt X20 is behind the License plate. It does accommodate the ACC sensor, and the parking sensors are actually above the bumper. I had to adjust it to keep them from going off from the bumper.

      @@gspfunk Nice, thank you for the info!

    • @gspfunk
      @gspfunk 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re welcome! I chose our Trailhawk over a JL due to the Hemi and overall comfort/features. It is way more capable than most people give it credit for, so I don’t think you’ll regret it unless you spend most of your time rock crawling or doing trails that require 35”+ tires.
      Let me know if I can help with any other questions! I’m @funkywk2 on IG, as well.

    Just got a 2020 Hemi trailhawk, any suggestions on under armor for the Jeep? Also, what is that step off your rear frame?

    • @gspfunk
      @gspfunk 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should have most of the important skids, but I recommend the Chief Trans skid and the Offroad Animal Bash plate. This will get you protected front to back, with the exception of your lower radiator support.

  • @race777

    You would probably off road better with the v6 as the vehicle is allot lighter and the power the hemi makes is of no use off roading. I have a 2021 trail hawk V6 metalic green that can go anywhere and it tows my 25 foot toyhauler with 2 quads loaded and camping gear just fine. Amazing vehicle.

    • @funkywk2
      @funkywk2  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not even close to accurate. The low end torque has gotten me out of places others with v6’s had way more trouble with. I agree the WK2 is an amazing vehicle, but of no use off road? Seriously.
      Glad you’re happy with your V6.

    • @race777
      @race777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@funkywk2 Have you ever heard of a transfer case? jeep wranglers only have V6s except the one with 707 hp. You clearly don't know what the hell your talking about. You nee torque to tow on the street and my V6 tows up to 6200 lbs. Your not to bright.

    • @race777
      @race777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry new
      V8 wrangler has 470Hp. So your telling me all these years the wrangler had just the V6 and it wasn't good at off roading because it didn't have a V8? What are you a millennial?

    • @funkywk2
      @funkywk2  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So now you want to get personal…
      The engine in the Wrangler doesn’t matter as much because you have a lower crawl ratio, better suspension setup with way more flex, larger tires, lower gears, more clearance….need I go on? Try comparing apples to apples next time.
      Sounds like you’re the one in need of some education. Quit trolling my comments and maybe go put some content on your own channel to show me how awesome you are.
