    Hey buddy, been wanting to run spe tunes but I read a review about having hard shifts from 4th to 5th and spe isn't correcting the issue or answering the customer ?

    • @Dieselnm101
      @Dieselnm101 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The shift are a little more firm in the higher gears due to less clutch packs. No harm to trans, gears locking in how they could be. I’m extremely happy with my SPE tunes.

      @@Dieselnm101 great! I have some more questions lol, in stage 1 and 2 does it smoke? Also hows the drone? Lastly what year powerstroke r u running?

    • @Dieselnm101
      @Dieselnm101 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ACanela85 my trucks a 2012. I do smoke, only on heavy throttle once in higher RPM it clean 🧼. It’s mostly due to stock gears 3.53 with 38’s. Once I regear it’ll be much cleaner. I’m running 5 inch full straight pipe, surprisingly I don’t notice any drone, again my 38’s Toyo M/T could be muffling the drone.

    • @TopCorey
      @TopCorey  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @dieselnm101 for the win 💪 but yeah if you are experiencing hard shifts then perform the trans relearn prodecure. theres a few steps ill paste it in here
      The 6R140 automatic transmission on the 2011 - 2018 6.7L Powerstroke has what is called Adaptive Memory and is constantly learning and adapting to different horsepower levels, temperatures, driving habits, etc. If you selected to tune the transmission during the Install Download process, the Transmission Adaptive Memory is automatically reset when the download completes. We highly recommend performing a Transmission Relearn procedure after installing transmission tuning to help the transmission perform correctly with the added horsepower.
      The 6R140 automatic transmission will eventually learn over time on its own, but the relearn procedure gives a good baseline for the adaptive learning and helps to speed up the learning process. To perform the relearn procedure, please follow these instructions:
      After tuning is installed, perform each of the following 0-80 MPH runs while in the HOT power level. During this relearn process, you may experience hesitation during shifts, hard shifts, or defuel patterns, all of which are normal:
      0-80 MPH @ 25% throttle position, then slow down and come to a complete stop.
      0-80 MPH @ 50% throttle position, then slow down and come to a complete stop.
      0-80 MPH @ 100% throttle position, then slow down and come to a complete stop.
      The Transmission Relearn procedure is complete.

      I'd love to know myself....I have a lot of beautiful brushed aluminum on my motorcycles, They are only 2 years old and only ridden in good weather. However, I live next to the ocean and the salt air destroys everything. I've been wiping down the bike with Turtle Wx ceramic and none of the raw aluminum has changed or oxidized. Maybe it is the turtle wax.
