Yup! I've Scratched my Head about that Question, & Why the Hell Honda isn't Reproducing the Mighty 500, With the Incredibly High Prices for them Used, & KTMs 'Takeover' of the MX & Enduro Market, Largely Due to the Availability of KTM 300exc & 250sx 2T's!! Seems like a Bad Management Decision on Honda's Part!! Maybe they have Signed Onto the Insane Euro Emmisions Laws & Have their Hands Tied!?? What if Like the M.I.C. Honda CT110 Engine Clones, That have been made Abundant, the CR500 Donk was Reproduced in China, by Lifan or Another High Precision Engine Manufacturer?? Blasphemy or Bloody Oath Mate?? If it were Done Right, I'm Sure there would be a Rather Large Market for Replacement 500 Engines!! Honda Needs a Bunsen Burner under their Asses, Bring Back the CR500 & 250!! The World Wants Them!! - Cheers 👍🇦🇺😉🍻

bottom end sounds tight like it should ...notice it does not have the dead thud sound of piston skirt side clatter ...I would say the crank is pretty close to "zero" ...I think you have beem selling the CR500R two strokes a bit short ..they will go well beyond 100 hours more like 200 wfo hours on a outdoor clay motocross track ....my friend and I shard a first year CR480R as we had scored a full sponsorship from our boss who is the owner of Hughes Honda Suzuki ..... I just now got to figuring and we put over a hundred hours on that old 480 as I never even pulled the head off of it once to look in at and see what was going on for the whole season... I would race it twice a weekend and the open B and my buddy Brad would race it twice a weekend in the open A...Open B was 1/2 hour motos and open A was 45 min. motos x 2 per day x two days snd some times Friday nights also ...ad d that all up for 20 weekends in a row for 1982 and we ran the dog shit out of that old CR480R without any engine work to it at all with right at a 100 very hard earned hours with plenty left on it the following year...we used a pint of belray two stroke full synthetic to 5 gal. of 93 octane no lead along with a pint of Klotz octane booster and a pint of Klotz Nitro Methane...stock jetting , stock pipe ..and a fresh cleaned and oiled Twin Air foam air filter every weekend ....all we paid for was the gasoline at the pumps on the way to the tracks ...our boss paid for everything else plus we sold all kinds of parts and accessories at the tracks with our Hughes Honda and Suzuki Banner very varied and at the end of the season we are almost breaking even so Hughes wrote it off as advertising and we all made out it was a good year.those rear sprockets are pretty cool ..i got a brand new one hanging on my living room wall I took off my Africa Twin just before I traded it even up for a cherry mirage orange 2009 XR1200.....be aware that a 200 x17 rear tire will fit on the back of those XR1200 series and a 130 x 18 on the front really sets it off for a fat look ...mine came with D&D slip-ons that are not all that loud and sound great ..so I bought a TTS tuner and a new set of Fueling hydraulic lifters and had my local Harley shop set up the lifters and then tuned it on the dyno. horsepower at the rear tire 82 and some change. Foot pounds of torque around 79. I'm having a lot of fun with this thing. it's unbelievable we live here in the racing capital of the world and nobody knows what an XR 1200 is. just the other day a boy challenge me on a 600 4 cylinder Suzuki. I pulled him from a stop light to a hundred and twenty miles per hour backed off and he passed me with a Twisted Throttle Salute

They feel much lighter and more playful. I had a 97 and a 2005 Service Honda 500 AF and there’s just no comparison.

Why would we put a cheap tire on a $20,000 bike? They cost us twice what the Dunlop tires cost us. Its a lighter tire with equal performance and better style.
And Ken says they hoooook up!!! We don't see any Hoosier mc tires on the west coast, prob where this question comes from.

What's the asking price? I'm in love and want another 500.... years ago I had a cherry 1986 rm 500 bored out 40 over and it and my KTM 360 was the only bikes I've ever regretted letting go of they both were complete beauty's/monsters.
