Each one of these sounds is the best sound I've ever heard for the Hydrasynth. They should've gotten you to design factory patches! Glad we have these though. Insta-buy. They all sound so analog. I'd challenge anyone to do a blindfolded test and try to say these sound digital!
These sound amazing, and damn authentic and vintage sounding for a digital synth. Run these through the right outboard and no one could tell they werent from a 40 year old synth recording What makes the Hydrasynth especially amazing is that it can sound this vintage, AND completely 2023 and beyond, all in the same super flexible affordable and imminently playable synth
Found this last night and got way too stoked! Should come with some kind of warning like "sorry everyone who loves me, youll never see me again cause ill just always be with my synth"
thank you! glad you're liking them, yes they definitely took a lot of work, I didn't want to stop until I was really satisfied, and I'm really happy with how the bank turned out! :)
Was deciding between a MiniFreak and a Hydrasynth explorer. In demos the mini just grabbed me more. But blimey, these patches are superb, and really show off the versatile abilities of this synth. Veering towards the hydra now. Brilliant patches, well done!.
I was trying to make the same decision. I decided on the Hydrasynth for the three oscillators, five envelopes, and five LFOs. It should be here next week. 💪🏾. Imma grab these presets immediately.
Pretty funny! You implant the thought 70's synths, and that is what you here :) BRings back so many memories. PBS, Dinsey tomorrowland and old rides. Yet, my Hyrda sits there unloved. LOL.
Thanks! Yeah that would be fun, but would be a a lot of work for me since people buy these often and from all around the world. Maybe I could sell a print as a separate item at some point...
Man, you just nailed these patches. Sounds like lots of them have the treble rolled off - employing EQ in the GC stages? Curious what can be done with these patches in terms of output fx or if they’re already bound up.
thanks! yeah, I can't remember the specifics, it was a whole lot of small adjustments all over the place to get the final results, and it may have been slightly different depending on the patch. FX are always fun, there's no rules so just try some stuff out!
@@polydata Superb series, very tempting! May I ask if these patches come with their very own pre-fabricated Macros? Edit: Wow, found your answer in older comments. All have programmed Macros, thanks! 🙏
how in the hell did you do this??? brilliance. i've been trying to achieve lush patches like this on my hydra but can't come close! thanks for the pack!!
Thanks! Well, it has a whole lot of features and possibilities. Like any synth with a lot of features, it can take more time to get to a certain place, which is why I think this bank is a really good buy for somebody with a Hydrasynth looking for vintage tones but doesn't want to spend forever making them. Definitely was really loving the sounds I was getting from it.
Sorry, unable to add that feature right now. My banks are also available on Sound 7 and they accept credit card payments, so you could purchase them there!
Yes, macros are programmed on all of them. I didn't program aftertouch since these are vintage-style patches, so they'll have the same playing experience as something like an OB-X or Juno-60. They're super fun patches :)
@@brandynknight4928 thanks for your order, I just sent it. I have to email them out manually, so that's why I say they'll come within 24 hours. When you bought them it was the middle of the night in my time zone :)
So happy that you presents the sounds without effects (reverb)...now you hear the real sounds without masking effects

this video sold me on the hydrasynth, and i just bought the patches. very excited 😎
cool! glad you're liking the sounds :)
More great sounds. I have bought multiple synths because of your patches. Thanks for helping me lose weight by not wasting money on groceries.
The Polydata diet! 😂
Yep. This is it. This video is the reason I am pulling the trigger on the Hydrasynth Explorer. Thank you for creating :)
Thanks! Glad you're digging the sounds
Go for it, I have a lot of synths but this one is a pleasure due to the innovative layout.

Very impressed with all of these presets, especially the attention to detail on the buchla 200 patch. Its clear you have a great palette/ear
Thank you! Yes, these definitely involved a lot of fine tuning. Glad you're enjoying them :)

very good patches. prophets, moogs and other legends in one pack
Thanks!
I may not own a Hydrasynth, but I'm damn sure going to listen to your excellent work! Fantastic job, as always!
Thank you! They're for all to enjoy :)
This is really cool and took a lot of hard work and talent. Thanks so much for sharing.
thank you! glad you're liking them, yes they definitely took a lot of work, I didn't want to stop until I was really satisfied, and I'm really happy with how the bank turned out! :)
Absolutely perfect from the patches themselves, to the performance, to the visual thumbnail. Im going to buy this pack in the next couple of days.
thank you!
This is a brilliant and usable set of patches, thanks for sharing them....defo on my next purchase list.
Thank you!
such nice work. I can tell you really cared about these when making them.
thanks! yes definitely, I didn't want to stop tweaking them until I was really satisfied with the sound.
These sound incredible - can’t even believe it’s a Hydrasynth! I’ll be snagging these for sure!
Thanks! Yeah I was super happy with how these patches turned out after a lot of careful tweaking.
nice job with the Hydrasynth
thanks!

Please do a Vol. 2 of this!! It's so good, it will sell!!
Thanks! Maybe, we'll see!
There's a second one now!
These are great but the WGBH Boston makes it real special
Thanks! Yeah I really like that one too.

i think it would be fun to sell these packs with like a physical sticker/postcard or something with the art for them because it's always so great.
Thanks! Yeah that would be fun, but would be a a lot of work for me since people buy these often and from all around the world. Maybe I could sell a print as a separate item at some point...
Great patches, reminds me of Boards of Canada sounds.
Thanks!
I've been waiting for this forever!
:)
@@polydata I wish there were Prophet-style FM or ringmod sounds.
@@jackcimino8822 there's some ring mod stuff in there, mod amount was assigned to macros on some patches so it's available on command.

It remembers the cover of the album Vol. 1 by Holograf, a Romanian hard rock band from the 80s that used some synthesizer in their songs.
Nice!
Real nice
Thanks!

good stuff man

Sounds sometimes like background music for "Doctor Who" episodes (Doctor #4 to at least Doctor #6).

Awesome. Do you have anything similar for the Novation Peak?
thanks! I don't currently, would love to do patches for the Peak, it's just a matter of when I can get my hands on one.
@@polydata Thanks for answering. Subscribed. Cheers!
Hydrasynth gets a bad rep for being to digital but I think ASM has done work to the vintage/analog feel people can dial in
Yeah, definitely has a lot of flexibility :)
Sounds amazing! Any chance you would release a pack for some of the universal audio soft synths like the Polymax? I think they're currently on sale.
Thanks! Possibly, I can look into it for the future.
Ok, Polymax pack is coming, probably next week
Thanks! Looking forward to it!
These sound fantastic. Did you take the extra time to set up macros for any of these presets? Thanks
Thanks! Yes they all have macros set up based on what I thought would make sense for each patch.
@@polydata Awesome, thank you. Went ahead and purchased!
@@caseylockwood5512 Cool!
Does this have better sound resolution (osc, filter..) than software vst synths(like serum)? The sound is so good..
I think they both have very high resolution
