My condolences for your recent passing in creating this video. But seriously, thanks forgetting this review out, as the MSI Ventus 3X OC 4080 Super (good grief) is exactly what I managed to snag, and at MSRP with Best Buy. While I hate paying anything over $700 for an 80 series card, I cannot keep hoping for things to get better, not while sitting on a 3060 "hold me over until this nonsense is done" card. (It was an upgrade from a pair of no longer supported 580s in SLI, so... yeah, it was warranted at the time, if barely.) Seems like this is the right card for getting the minimalist 4080 Super without having to deal with the challenges of getting an FE card. My new goal is to see how many years I can get out of this before being enticed to upgrade... and here is hoping that by then, Battlemage and subsequent efforts from Intel have made a positive impact against the price-flation nonsense we've been putting up with for too long now.
I just got the same card and installed it. What do you think of the anti sag bracket? I put it in there about as tight as I could, you think it's good enough? some people say sag brackets like that don't work well and that a stand is better.

Hi! one question! This card Fits in your Case? (looks like a Phanteks p400) How tight would the power adapter fit? Have the same Case and want this card.
Hey! Yes, it's the P400S. There was actually about 5-7cm between the end of the card and the radiator fans, so there's more than enough space for a card like this, regardless of where you run the power adapter.
Do you think this would be an upgrade coming from a RTX 3080 10gb FE? Cause with games starting to require more vram as time goes on, I'm thinking it might be time upgrade.
An upgrade? Sure. A worthwhile upgrade? Not so much. You're looking at maybe a 10-12% upgrade going to the 4070 Super. I would stick with the 3080 at least until we see what the next-gen cards can do (they'll hopefully ship with more VRAM than 40-series too).
@@MetalGaiden96 Oh, my bad, I had my latest video on my brain 😂 Yes, the 4080 Super is definitely a worthwhile upgrade (Should be about 40% faster than the 3080), and with the 16GB of VRAM you should be set for a good couple of years.
