This was such a nice video to watch, get my day started off right. I love Rose breasted grosbeaks, but also the Piliated Woodpecker stopped by, a hairy woodpecker, Orioles, and those sweet little finches. I've never seen a Piliated in life, would LOVE to.. Thanks for sharing such a nice video!!!

I had a pair of rose breasted grosbeaks last year a boy and a girl. I named them Alfonso and Leslie, hahaha. They were so adorable, I just love them. I haven't seen them this year yet, but still hoping. I live in eastern Michigan so I don't get the Piliated's, but hopefully I can travel somewhere to see them.. Downey's come visit my woodpecker feeder everyday. I named two of them Hazel, and Mr. B, from the old show Hazel. I have watched other videos that you post and they are all just lovely. Nature calms me almost into a meditative state.

I'm in south central Indiana and the grosbeaks and orioles arrived 6 days ago. Yes, even the audio of the birds chirping has a calming effect.
Alfonso came today for a visit!!!! I haven't seen Leslie yet, but I'm sure I will soon. I also discovered a bird that I have never seen before, a white crowned sparrow... So cute
Well they certainly aren't very nice to each other, lmao. Amazing you got so many in one place, I can't imagine the variety of food you must put out to try and get all these birds to show up.

I love that sound, too, Alexandra, and I would like to hear a lot more of it. It must be a love call, but I didn't see any females around. When I started feeding birds about 12 years ago, I had no idea there was such a large variety of beautiful birds in this area. They just kept coming, surprising and delighting me! Didn't know they were in the Cardinal family. I've heard the Cardinals do their little squawking also when the feeder gets crowded. Another thing I love about these grosbeaks is that they also have the beautiful rose color "under" their wings, so they look gorgeous when they are fluttering around. Not many notice it. I found it accidentally when I was searching for a picture for the thumbnail for this vid. You can see it in the thumbnail on the grosbeak on the far right. Or just watch the video closely and you will see it. I think their Designer did that just for us! Stay safe, Ron

The Cardinals get along pretty much with all kinds of birds , unless they are bigger....I did notice that beautiful rose color under their wings as well. So pretty ! It is strange.....but as u do know too.....the males are always prettier. I only have mine for late spring for a few weeks each year. What about u ? U have them all summer until fall ? Or only in spring as well ? Stay save too :)

Have you seen the female grosbeak? That must be the biggest contrast between male and female of any species! She is so ugly, compared to the male, that she's just beautiful and I just love her! Well, I am so blessed to have them all summer here in south-central Indiana. They usually leave in late August about the same time as the Baltimore Orioles. Blessings :)
What state? I’ve had about 11 r 12 at my feeders here n Ky. But, it took a couple yrs of keeping the feeders stocked full of sunflower seeds and they kept coming back and more started showing up. I had one evening grosbeak show one time just for a few seconds and I never seen it again.☹️ he was a beauty.
The Baltimore Orioles and Rose-breasted Grosbeaks for their gorgeous color and rarity, although they seem to be plentiful for me. They just take my breath away, and I can't get used to them. Also, the ruby-throated hummingbird, a little green jewel darting around. I also love the majestic Pileated Woodpecker, and the Red-headed woodpecker with its beautiful red hood. The Northern Flicker is also stunningly different from other woodpeckers and beautiful in its own way.

I've taken a few photos from inside using the zoom on a cheap camera. Nothing special though. For my videos I velcro strap my Flip cam to a shepherd's hook to get good close ups. Good luck.

Thanks for watching and commenting on some of my vids! I will be happy to share my birds with you, just consider them yours also and stop by often. I actually just took down my sunflower seed feeder. I'm being over run by house finches, I ran out of seed and still cautious about getting out much (covid-19), they draw in pests like raccoons and opossums, AND I'm not nearly as motivated since I lost my beloved soulmate to cancer. Things just aren't the same without her enjoying the birds with me. Not complaining, I was and am so blessed!!!

I'm being over run by house finches, I ran out of seed and still cautious about getting out much (covid-19), they draw in pests like raccoons and opossums, AND I'm not nearly as motivated since I lost my beloved soulmate to cancer. Things just aren't the same without her enjoying the birds with me. Not complaining, I was and am so blessed!!!
