I was one of those babies in the NICU. I am so incredibly grateful for the 43 years I’ve had on this earth. If it wasn’t for the incredible nurses and doctors I wouldn’t be here today. Thank you for everything you do. You are an earth Angel.
Woke up one morning to blood on the bed sheets. My wife was 17 weeks pregnant at the time. We rushed to the hospital immediately expecting that she was experiencing a miscarriage. On the way, this song was playing on a random Spotify playlist. For obvious reasons the song resonated deeply with me in that moment. Ultimately everything ended up being ok. The bleed was caused by a subchorionic hematoma. My son is 4 months old today. Still think of that moment when I hear this song and it makes me so grateful for what I have.
Wonderful song. I see myself riding a mountain pass to the top, listening to this song and enjoying what the view and the future will bring, despite the heartache that brought me there.
@elleisme8565 pretty sure it was me. I think of that as the most perfect environment in the world... like this song. And it's funny, I seldom go past feeling that on my face without taking time to recognize it. Hope you're having a great day.
I first listened to this song when I was 16 and haven’t stopped ever since. Every single year for the past 4 years and the feeling hasn’t gone. It’s like listening to it for the first time every time ♥️ heard it play in a New Amsterdam episode and just fell in love with it.
Heard this song for the first time live and literally felt the most profound happiness for a moment while sitting their in the crowd as the sun went down. Pure magic. Love LOVE this song!!
The movie called “A Good Person” brought me here… Very powerful movie with this song bringing it all together towards the very end. You are such a talented group of musicians. Keep going! This is what you were born to do. And greetings from Oklahoma City.
Just saw Bon Iver in Asheville and Bonny Light Horseman opened for them (had no idea who they were), absolutely crushed it. Sound even better live than their album! New fan.
Agree with all these comments . Josh Kaufman’s arrangements and guitar playing are sublime (check out his work with Watchhouse , formerly Mandolin Orange). But back to this- three indie rock folk geniuses and those wonderful voices. The whole album is fantastic.
Went to a music festival in rural Vermont in 2007. Friday afternoon, just getting started, people arriving, nobody on stage A or stage B. Just a young woman with a guitar in the tent, no stage. She absolutely blew me away. Now she's got 5 Tony awards, and she's in a super-group. Totally awesome. Totally deserves it.
This is just beautiful. Beautiful arrangement, the bass tone is dope, beat, grooves, guitars are doing some beautiful voicings, singer can deliver the lyrics, second voices are mesmerizing. Made my day!
I listened to this sobbing on the highway knowing it was time to let him go. and that it would indeed break his heart. thank you for making such beautiful music.
It's a dream listening this so beautiful song, a sweet trip, a digressing way to leave this so brutal world ... just during this song lasts unfortunately !
Heard this song before can’t remember if it was just on random playlist on Apple Music or spoiler alert the movie. Just saw A Good Person tonight and it reminded me I heard it before . Ofcourse Rachel Chavkin is Up in here with her magic music skills .
I work in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Often if one of my babies is crying/in distress, I play this song for them.. works every time
Wow....what a great share. I'm 75 and it works for me as well. Thank you for all you do.
Aww. That’s beautiful…
Stops me from crying too

Wow what a beautiful thing to do. God bless you
dude playing electic guitar lead is sublimely talented ...the tone just wow...great group. Bass player, drummer , everyone is really nice and tight
his tone is very similar to mark speer of khruangbin if you want something similar
the lead guitar is a poem - major league finger picking

I’m agreeing with you; they are good
this is probably one of the best songs ever. And the album record is amazing
Is the entire album good?
One of the most beautiful things I've heard in time.
This song is such an indie gem. Love the finger picking electric guitar work.
Wonderful song. I see myself riding a mountain pass to the top, listening to this song and enjoying what the view and the future will bring, despite the heartache that brought me there.

Don't forget the dapple light

@@tomallen5837why is that the most profound beautiful piece of poetry I’ve ever read. Did you write that? Or is that a lyric?

love it
This band is as tight as they come. How about Anais Mitchell's perfect, subtle harmony vocals to compliment Eric Johnson's stellar vocals.

We were there too and loved them! I knew Anais from Big Red Machine songs but didn't know about BLH. Which night in Asheville were you there?
Wow!!!
Just a beautiful song. Thank you guys. The world is in chaos right now, let's slow down and breathe. Just be good to each other, it's free to care.
Saw them last Friday night 8 Sep 23 at the cork opera house ireland they were backed by a full orchestra what a night🇮🇪
One of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard.
I had the pleasure of seeing them when they opened for Bon Iver in Asheville NC. The musicianship in this band is impressive!

What a beautiful song! ❤️ The track I’d definitely play on repeat while hiking a mountain peak! A song that’s equivocal and intimate to the ears 🫶🏼
Spoiler Alert, brought me here from the ending scene. This has become a favorite!

Beautiful trio, amazing tune! Very traditional folk song, so touching!
How is it a trio when there are five people playing?
@@KP-np4thBecause the band are 3 people. The other two are session musicians who might sometimes perform with the band, but are not the band.
Beautiful song!
