Tbh I feel like LOL is one step ahead of most doll lines the black light features and color change is something so nice and it's a very underrated feature I've never seen doll brands use these types of techniques so it's pretty interesting to say the least

Depends what happens with monster high and bratz coming back and how well they do. I love omg but envision one or the other taking them down. All good things come to an end sadly but I’m certainly enjoying them now.

I can't be the only person who noticed miss. royale's madonna influence. At the 1990 MTV Awards Madonna wore a rococo inspired outfit while performing the hit song, coincidentally called Vogue.

It explained how the dance style originated in the underground Gay Ball (drag dance performance) scene in NYC. That's where Madonna's choreographers likely picked it up and she made famous years later.

I love that Major Lady's references to David Bowie doesn't end with her appearance. Her name is likely a reference to Major Tom from the song Space Oddity, and the quote in her dance guide is very similar to the chorus of Magic Dance from the Labyrinth, where David Bowie played Jareth the Goblin King.

I would say that Fame queen & Ferocious have prosthetic limbs. I get that it’s supposed to be gloves but since it’s the entire forearm & hand we could totally say that it’s prosthetics especially since they don’t come with alternate hands to swap out.

Wow, I didn't realize how much detail goes into these dolls and their packaging. I must admit, LOL Surprise dolls have not been on my radar, but now I'm kind of tempted to check them out.

I especially love lol dolls because they’re so beautiful, unique and diverse I collect lol dolls and sometimes even get inspired by their looks for drawings. Not every doll looks like these, I don’t really have any bad opinions about lol dolls but I still understand other peoples bad opinions about the dolls because of their unique shape and other things about the dolls.

Miss Royal take inspiration from Marie Antoinette but she also takes inspiration from Madonna when Madonna dressed as Marie Antoinette and performed Vogue on the VMAs back in the 90s "hence the flip fan Madonna and her dancers used as props".
Also Mattel needs to take notes from MGA. LOL are todays Bratz. Mattel needs to do the Monster High reboot similar. make it modern and an experience!

I just bought Ms. Royale for my niece as a graduation gift, I am more of a barbie girl but she LOVES L.O.L. and I was like...OK I'll get what she likes. I bought this doll just cuz the box looked amazing, but I got curious so I found this video and OMG I am so IN LOVE WITH THIS DOLL!!!! I look forward to opening this with my niece!! I love the celebrity references as it shows the brand cares to reference and create Easter eggs , as it’s something for everyone. I myself didn’t realise the David Bowie reference and I got her as she had diverse eyes . I got Busy BB as I was interested in history , children may overlook or not notice , but the adults or older children do , for example the reduction in plastic waste , well done MGA
I remember the first season of L.O.L. Dolls. I think my season one doll was Miss something. It has a turquoise dress, a stash, a white crown, the skin was dark, teal and white bottle, it either spits or cry, brown hair, brown eyes, and has a bun with a bow with braid connecting. It's probably my favorite. I literally fell in love with the dolls, despite not really a fan of dolls.

I actually adore the LOL OMG body! It's so stylized and cute! I wish we had more dolls with highly stylized figures like OMG and Rainbow High because it's much more interesting to look at a shelf of vastly different body types, not just realistic ones.
When you mentioned that you were hoping to see prosthetic limbs in the OMG dolls, they actually did that already. The doll modeled after Lady Gaga (I can’t remember her name) has a metal arm. It’s pretty cool.

I’ve been saying this, but even though Major Lady is very David Bowie inspired, with 90’s fashion trends coming back, she reminds me a lot of Lady Miss Kier from Deee-Lite (Grove Is in the Heart) with her orange hair and design, along with the fact that B-Gurl is kind of inspired by Left Eye from TLC, also a group from the 90’s. 🤷♀️🖤✌️

Why do parents find something wrong with toys that are made for kids, kids don't really think what it's bad or good, I think that if kids get to know more skin tones and different ways to dress up (and basically how to express themselves) they are going have more respect for other people and ofc respect and love for themselves 💗
